What a surprise! I wouldn't say this is overpriced. This has a powerful CPU and you are paying for the smallest stand alone DJ set up we've seen - very cool
Something like this but 3 channel, with touch strips instead of wheels would be sick. I want a controller that's stand alone/screen, metal shell, touch strips, but with no faders, an only rotary controller. Like the same spirit of the rotary mixers but a controller.
I'd love one of these! Unfortunately I wouldn't want to be limited to something this small as my primary, and £900 is a lot of money to spend on a setup that i would be using almost exclusively for impromptu minirig parties. @@Mojaxx, it is the layout as well. I looked up the player to confirm the number. It is almost is an identical layout to that player especially with the jogs and the pitch fader sizes!

I agree the price feels a bit high but given the price of a OLED screens and sizable Li-Ion batteries it probably doesn't actually have ultra inflated margins.
Cool device with a high "wanna have" factor but let's face it, it's just too expensive: 1. Certainly out of price range for beginner DJ's; 2. Very expensive as a back-up only device; 3. When traveling, you're typically better off with a compact non-stand-alone controller plus laptop/iPad as the latter can be used for consumption or production as well; 4. As a small venue controller, the also rather mobile Prime 2 is just a way more sensible option because of its superior layout and jog wheels. At this price point, it will end up more as an expensive gadget than a serious workhorse tool I'm afraid.
Still, no sample bank features in Engine software. Why have Denon still totally ignored such a feature in all this new gear being released this year? rekordbox / serato / traktor all have sample bank features.
This is perfect for me! But I wonder if you would look like a fool with such a small gear at a club.
