tbh I think the dialog at the start flows better.
Agreed. I seem to recall that’s how the last Hades series flowed and it worked very well.
Pally not knowing the myth of Narcissus is just perfect. 🤣
Dialogue at the start is perfect, a bit of a calm before the storm sort of vibe.
Also helps if a viewer somehow missed an episode entirely.
GREEK NERD TIME!!!
So Chronos is not only Hades father, but also Demeter, Hestia, Hera, Poseidon as well as Zeus who ultimately overthrew him as HE (Chronos) overthrew (and castrated) HIS father Uranus.
His fall at the hands of his child was prophesized so to prevent it he "ate" his children one by one, except for Zeus whose mother managed to save and replace with a rock.
Hecate, is aptly known in this game as "The witch of the crossroads" which is perfect as she was associated with magic, crossroads, moon among other things.
One last thing, it is believed by many that Kronos (the titan) and Chronos (the embodiment of time) are two distinct entities in Greek mythology, but in here it seems the developers opted to make them a single entity.
On the Chronos / Kronos thing, its a bit open to interpretation. In the end, the gist of the myth is that since the gods killed the titan, time as we know it can exist. Also of interest is the work the dev team did on the incantations: all the things that Melinoi (thats how its pronounced) and Ekati (thats how its pronounced) are chanting, are actual "magical" incantations found to be scribed on the base of Artemis' statue in Efessos.

Narcissus was the most handsome man on earth, sadly this transforms him into a really self-centered man. He only was able to love himself, and he died when he saw his reflection on a lake and tried to kiss it. In its place appeared a white flower that bears his name.
The narcissistic personality disorder got its name in reference to him.

Couple of additions, there was a nymph that was deeply in love with him, and lost the will to live when witnessed his corpse, the only thing that remained from her was her voice, forever doomed by a curse from Hera, Zeus spouse, because she covered up for her nymphs friends that were having some fun with Zeus
Her name was Echo!
Aphrodite was sadden by the death of such a beautiful person, so she made the flower appear as homage
Narcissus was also half god, so that's why he was so abnormally beautiful
Dialogue in the front feels great. After the run i feel like attention for a lot of people is running dry. And it feels good to get caught up on the lore at the start
I hope that this is just placeholder art for Narcissus and the final product is just Shayne from Smosh as The Chosen...The voice is already there and it's perfect.

Cronos is the father to all the first gods (Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Hestia, Hera….). So of course he is your grandfather. Zagreus too.
2:30 In answer to your question Pally, I like them at the beginning because sometimes when I get caught up in life things and miss a few videos, the little introductions and story elements let me know if I'm missing a video in between or not. :D
Minor Finds are everything that is not a Boon, Hammer, or Lunar Path. Double Up is OP OP amazing since it can double max mana and health items too.
He isn't "a" Narcissus he is "THE" Narcissus. Character of Greek legend that was so handsome he feel in love with his own image while looking into a pool, of which the term got created that we use today. Yes its a placeholder image and sprite.
The dialogs is preferred at the start of the Video, and the way you do it, is Exactly Right :)
I like the story at the start since the end of the run sets a tone.
Pally have you noticed that while in hades I the gods art were on a more festive chill attire on this one all have armor signaling the war against chronos?
Dialog and lore at the start! Lets me catch up and get ready for the video. Also not for nothing but some of us fall asleep watching your vids so a refresher in the beginning is always welcome.
Hades 2 early access already has more content than the full game of Hades 1, which is just insane. So many things to explore!

Dialog has to be at the beginning. No run can start without talking to the star of the show, Frinos!
Also Charon IS supposed to have the hard K sound.
End or start it doesn't matter, as long as you spak to them after each run so you don't miss any triggers for side quests.
I have over 100hrs into this game already, it's so good pally.

Hey dude, another great vid. So from what i'm seeing from other streamers, when you use a controller, it auto aims for you at a certain range, but when you're out of the lock on range or you have no enemies, it gets wanky.
why dont you uppgrade all from the big pot in the middle ? might be good things in there ,, i love this vids by the way , would be great with a few runs in them

Not to mention all the previous series head banging on desk from the viewers as Pally casually strolls around missing EVERYTHING and seeing NOTHING on the screen, tool tips, resources, everything.
Can someone please finally tell pally to unlock the damn trader? "bones, I don't know what they are for". Also someone tell him that Psyche is what Shadow was for the Hades 1 mirror.
