This channel exists to document unit counters within StarCraft 2. Tya's Unit Tournament features epic battles between units in StarCraft 2, using music from the game's soundtrack. Units are chosen from Protoss, Terran and Zerg forces, or a coop commander such as Raynor, Nova, Artanis, or Kerrigan. Units will independently use their abilities, in a basic way. All units use Legacy of the Void stats, the same units you'd see in SC2 esports controlled by the likes of Serral, Maru, and ByuN. The resource beneath vespene is the unit's cost in the mod I run on the SC2 arcade, Direct Strike. Enjoy!
The last of Zeratul’s immortals: it’s over, I win
The last Warbringer: nuh uh
well damn, no wonder the Tal'Darim didn't show up during the Brood Wars. They were afraid of ol' boy Zeratul
Another round of Coop stalkers. Another round of me wondering if maybe we'll see Vorazun's some day.
Zeratul showed Alarak, who is the real GOAT
Ha! Yeah! Go Zeratul! Felt like my childhood Starcraft vs. my early adulthood Starcraft in that battle lol.
The Warbringer vs Zeratul's Immortal battle was one of the best I've seen on this channel xD
Last Zeratul's Immortal: "Hey bro watch yo Jet..."
Completely unrelated but can you stop forcing the battle crusier AI to tactical jump, it does more damage to them than the enemy in every battle cause it reduces dps and the amount of bcs the enemy can target meaning their damage is split up less causing more BCs to die.
The Apocalisks just wandering around to chase the fringes in the last one...ugh.
2/4.
I KNEW IT!!!! I SAID MATCH 3 WAS GOING TO BE A TIE AND I WAS RIGHT!!
Let's be honest. We were all rooting for Zeratul.
Agreed, because we all know the backstory of Zeratul, how wise he was, how kind he was, how humble he was, how generous he was, he sacrificed his life to save Artanis and the universe. A man of honor!!!
The winner was obvious. But I did hope to be surprised 😆
wrr
Hmm.. slayers are actually pretty strong against Apokalisk or ultras in general. I mean, stalkers are in general, but the Apokalisk's burrow activates their invincibility frames, confuses it and causes it to start attacking something else, and then they blink out of range so it doesn't get a chance to finish the job.
well autoblink... no player can micro like this so... it's just kinda cool to see.
2/4
My strategy for the day was to vote for the smaller groups which worked for the first half I guess
It's a good strat usually. I definitely used that for the Aberations.
But auto blink is crazy strong, always vote for stalkers in this.
And Zeratul was an obvious pick, his spin to win deals way more dmg than Alarak's force push. Also I'm not sure how Alarak's sacrifice works, does he regain all hp and shield of the Alarak's the Alarak kills...?
And ye, I did vote for the Immortals cause they outrange everything with massive single target fire. But those Warbringers basically got a draw I'd say. I didn't know they'd have Ravager projectiles lol. I never play Talandar, and when I do why would I build anything but Scouts? 😆
0:27 Finally! Alarak lose!
Still waiting dehakas turn
@@burn422 yeah. His skill is too broken.
Okay, I'm a little confused regarding those indicators on each side. So one is showing the total cost of minerals, the second is the Vespen Gas, and what's the third indicator below???
Build time I think
wow that 1 zeratul killed all 7 alarak's who weren't sacrificed
Where the heck did all those banelings come from?
Abberation variant that can drop banelings on death. Its from Coop Zagara if memory serves.
In co-op, Zagara's aberrations have an upgrade that causes abs to spawn two banelings upon death. (Note that these are splitter strain banelings, so when they die, they spawn two smaller banelings on death.) The same upgrade causes corruptors to spawn two scourge upon death.
Can you do some battle with different version of wraith
Agreed, I would like to watch that too
The first battle is so unfair
Is there something I don't know about abberations?
Zagara's abberations have an upgrade that causes them to spawn two banelings when they die. These are splitter strain banelings, which means that when they die, they spawn two smaller banelings. Enemy abberations and campaign abberations do not have this upgrade.
Энтаро Зератул
4/4 thought the third battle to end on a tie was actually subpricing
Never seen Warbringers before but they look awesome :D
Warbringer is the champion version of the Colossus from co-op. As with Fenix's other champions, in co-op you can only have one Warbringer, and if it does, the closest Colossus is turned into a Warbringer with all of its vitality restored (if you control no Colossus, the next Colossus you train turns into Warbringer). Like other champions, they have additional abilities on top of the standard Colossus, though the extent of their effectiveness depends on which prestige you are using. (P2 powers up champions based on how many shells of that type you control, while P3 powers up champions based on how many times they die.)
It is the best Fenix ai champion, at least in direct strike. By a HUGE margin
@@FantasyFantasy934 is that like from a DLC for StarCraft trilogy?
@@fezqualitimus8465 direct strike, a custom arcade map

To be fair, Alarak killed half of the Alaraks for Zeratul lol
The Taldarim never cared about colateral damage or friendly fire. But even one on one, Zeratul needs only a few attacks to kill Alarak.
1:43 69, nic- 0h nevermind
Имморталы так то тоже слились
yeah lets talk alarak
Got em all right.
3,5/4
Only 1.5/4 this time.

MY LIFE FOR AIUR!!!!!
Alaraks kill each other lol.
1/4
Alarak w/o supplicants iz ass
Surprised to see the first battle didn't end up with only one Alarak remaining
And complaining that he’s “grone tired of carrying us to victory”?
Alarak has works best against masses of low-hp units. Zeratul isn't a low-hp unit...
@@DanStaal yes, and Zeratul is good against 1 vs 1 fights as it has got high damage points, swirling and has high hp
The Zeratul Spin is stronger than Alarak's force push move, so it made sense who won to me.
But I do wonder if the Alarak's were killing one another for hp 😆
It's Zeratul tho his damage is op

""So Zeratuls want to kill other me? Well two can play at that game."
-Each Alarak
3/4 - but it's fine - There's always fun when brawl end in a draw.
Glad to see another great victory for Slayers.
That is the first double wipe out I've seen so far and I have watched over a hundred of these.
The other double wipe out mostly baneling or scourge kamikaze
Finally a perfectly balanced match.
Impulses too. Bleed after effect.
There have been a few others. Mostly involving banelings.
Or when there was some damaging status effect that killed the last survivor after it was over.
@@tyhy1 Without suicide units, there have been 4 draws so far!
Alarak lost? He must be an anime antagonist, the more of them are on the battlefield, the weaker and cannon-foddery they become.
A pity that Blizz decided to kill Zeratul at the start of LoV...
Would be hilarious to see Alarak and Zeratul interact durning the campaign...
The double KO!
What a missed opportunity the campaign had with these two meeting
Finally, yet some more action with Zagara's aberrations. Thought the dragoons would be too tanky, but Zagara has too many upgrades to account for
A good draw, but still a practical win for Warbringer for all intents and purposes given the resources.
Not too surprising the slayers slayed this time.
the third battle was a tie XD that martyrdom from the warbringer XD "if i'm going down i'm taking you with me" popped into my head lol
Zeratul won! I'm so very happy. "My life, for Aiur"
Can you do some wings of liberty units against the current counterparts. WOL Carriers vs HOTS Carriers vs LOTV Carriers would be interesting
I was surprised when I see the Zeratul Immortal with 0 HP life! This remember me the invisible muta with 0 HP
En Taro Zeratul!!!!!!!
Slappy bois are scary. Holy Moses.
i always thought alarak could win agains zeratul and artanis lol i was wrong
I have a question, Slayers have their own quotes?
i love see Alaraks loosing, most anoying hero to watch lol
What in the Dragon Ball was that first fight?
Abberations are insane
These seem modified.
@@ParleLeVu These are Zagara's abberations from co-op, where they have an upgrade that causes them to spawn two banelings on death. These are splitter strain banelings, so when those banelings die, they spawn two smaller banelings each. Enemy abberations (as well as those from campaign) do not have this upgrade.
Hey Tya! Can you make SC2 Protoss vs Brood War Protoss comparison? E.g. full-scale armies clashing

imagine trying to micro the units in that first battle with all the blinking and knockbacks haha.
I think they've got that autocast
@@fezqualitimus8465 no I know. I meant trying to move the dying ones away and such. Microing. Would be so hard to selecting your units to move them haha.
I can't wait for the day we get real scale into theae videos
MOAR ABERRATIONS!!!
Only 1.5/4 this time
Do Aberrations throw banelings?
Zagaras Co-op Aberrations spawn 2 Banelings (splitter strain) each on death. So it depends on the version of Aberration we're talking about.
WTF? Why Zeratul wins so easily?
He is a single target assasin for the most part whereas Alarak is best at killing a shit ton of small bois.
Alaraks draining each other completly nulified greater numbers, and Zeratuls are too tanky for Alaraks draining slayed enemies.
@@TurboMMasterThey didn’t drain each other, at least I didn’t see black orbs flying around, only the red ones which are from killed enemies.
@@TurboMMasterBut the problem could be soul absorption (red orbs) do not equally distributed to full heal each alarak. Instead, they were all directed to a single alarak
Zeratul has over 100 damage on his attack. Combine it with a gap closer and Alarak's fate is sealed.
