The details on that beautiful antique sewing machine did not go unnoticed!! Gorgeous!!! The ornaments are so cute, I can't wait to make one! Thank you for this classy video!
This is such a cool idea! FYI if you draw the circle on the two pieces of fabric right sides together, then sew on the drawn line before cutting out the circle, it would be easier! Don’t forget to leave the part for turning! When you’re done sewing , cut out the circle 1/4” from the drawn and sewn line with a pinking shear!
I see you're using the antique singer. So I'm machine. I love it. I wish I had one that worked that's really cool. I'm 73 so I know a lot about machinery. And it's nice to see somebody using the old old machine. Some way back thank you for what you do
My quilt guild just made these for a charity Christmas tree raffle, where decorated trees will be raffled off in December to raise money for a local charity. We made them in two sizes, and one guild member cut the circles using an Accuquilt Go Cutter with the 6" and 8" circle dies- quick and easy way to cut your circles! The members loved making them, and I think our tree will look great. Thanks for the great instructions!
I watched this 10 yrs ago before I ever had a channel. It's fun finding it again. I made like a dozen of these ornaments that still hang on our tree today. ❤
I'm new to this group, and I'm very pleased with the projects and results I've gotten so far! The tutorials are wonderful: clear, concise, easy to understand, and not so fast that you have to hit "pause" 50 times while you're trying to keep up. I can't wait to make more things!!! I used a 7.5" pan lid, and the finished size is perfect! Thank you so much!
Great video and surprised to hear a male voice. My husband reminded me he was inspired to make a vest one year for his brother after meeting a guy who sewed while he was recovering from an illness. Awesome. You are super!
Thank you! I bought a book on folded fabric flowers, and could not decipher the author's instructions from the pictures provided. You just fixed the problem I was struggling with! Your video was concise and to the point and very easy to follow along. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much!!! I don't quilt but my daughter does. She is so happy making her first quilt and I'm sure she'll love these Christmas ornaments. Congratulations on your talents n patience to explain. Love your work, a grateful mom in Texas.
I love the tutorial, thank you for posting it. It's great that you're using a vintage Singer to sew with. They were made to last for generations, and they sew such a beautiful stitch.
Haven't decorated for Christmas in YEARS, but I am making these right now. Thank you so much. I am making them to become napkin rings, sewing a small circle of fabric on the bottom. Sooooo cute! Thank you so much.
i can't wait to make these. just picture your tree decorated with only a variety of fabric ornaments and lights. so warm and cozy. thanks for the demo :)
How could anyone possibly dislike this video? These are so cute and so easy. I made several in different sizes and attached little gold bells in the middle.
The wonderful thing about your videos is not only do you have excellent recipes, techniques and tips, then to top it off, you're an excellent teacher. It's not often that you find both qualities in the same channel. I always believe that if one can do a few simple things well, it drastically improves the quality of life. You had me at the simple way to cook rice. I've been hooked ever since. This ornament is another example of that simplicity. Thanks, Crouton Crackerjack! And keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your video. Just made one on my 1945 Featherweight I inherited from my Grandmother. It’s my pride and joy and do all my Quilt piecing on it. Not only ornaments for my tree, but with a wooden skewer on the back these would look great in a floral arrangement for any season.
These make really special gift tags. I made them last year and was looking for the pattern again. I used a little card about the size of a business card and tucked it in on the backside using the folds to hold it in place.
I am very pleased to find this video. I have seen the ornaments & wondered how they were made. Thanks very much. Excellent directions & a lovely sewing machine.
I put a laminated picture on the other side with the fabric( I make some clothes) of the memory of the year. So Every Christmas, my daughter can remember that year in the future. Great tutorial. Thanks a lot.
Love it! I am making some, did some with 5 inch circles, left the needle on to do the middle button and the loop, all about faster! Thanks for the great idea!!
These are just adorable! Haven’t been able to find just what I want for my tree this year but now I can make these in the colors I want, navy gold and burgundy. Thanks for sharing🎄🎄
I made a couple of these a year or so ago from your tutorial. So glad you still have the tutorial. I am a see and do learner, so Thank you for the step by step tutorial and talking it through.
Oh, what lovely ornaments, and a beautiful old Singer. In the cabinet, if I'm not mistaken. Wonderful to see the old workhorses used. Thanks for the pattern, so perfectly shown.
Love your sewing machine. Wish I still had my older one . Their the best . But I have watched some tutorials on this ornament and yours is the best . Easy to understand. Thanks So Much . 🐾🍁
A truly lovely clearly instructed video. Lovely to see a grand old (that's a compliment), Singer sewing machine being used too. I have four new sewing machines, purchased over time, but sadly not my darling Grandmother's large original Singer machine in a fixed unit with drawers. But I digress, although I love machine sewing I also adore hand sewing and I have followed your perfect video and hand sewn them, and I am having lots of fun with the task. Happy sewing and thanks to you from a grateful follower in Devon, England, UK.
wow i love this Christmas ornament...you could even put some potpourri in this .... Love that we ladies have a man craftier in the world... Keep up with the good work.. Aw and the sewing machine.. So love,, I was taught how to sew on one that my great granny had and she was 105
Oh my goodness - those are so easy! I’m taking part in an ornament exchange this year and am definitely going to give this a try. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Great idea, you've shown it doesn't have to be complicated to be great. I, too, have a Singer pedal, which is what I learned on as a kid. My dad added a little motor and pedal to make it more user friendly. Your presentation was easy to visualize, and very pleasant to watch. Thank you!
Thank you so much 😊 I’ve watched this before and I really don’t understand those people who have given you a thumbs down 👎 What is they’re problem? These Christmas 🎄 ornaments are so cute, and really easy to make, thanks to you’re talented and clever tutorial.
I love your work I was trying to think of some new ornaments to make in this will be just ideal thank you for sharing God bless a man after my own heart in crafting
Excellent Video. Great Instructions. I love them! Love LOVE L O V E the vintage sewing machine. Also .. when you are turning it inside out, it is best if you use a table spoon instead of a stick. It will give you better results, without the danger of a fabric puncture. I am going to make dozens of these for gifts. Since I am such a quilting obsessive, I will finish mine with a quilted stitch. I really love these. GREAT IDEA! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! .
OMG!!! I see the tape also!! I wish I would have thought of that 40 years ago!!! I have always had a machine. From 1979-1981 we lived on the island of Crete in Greece. The AFB was small which meant our commissary and BX were small. There was a line to get into the BX on new shipment days. I had a baby, so I made most of his clothes. He lived in sunsuits!!lol. Each week I would make him a sunsuit and me a matching sundress. If there wasn't any cute boy fabric, I would find mine and then a solid that went with my print. My next door neighbor said she was always wondering how we were going to be dressed the day after new fabric came in!! lol. I don't feel very comfortable in my sewing abilities. With UA-cam, that is gradually changing. There are so many experienced men and women teaching us how they do things. My husband got me a new beautiful Brother machine for Christmas almost 3 years ago. I've never opened the box. That is going to change, I have three granddaughters to sew for along with four grandsons!!!
Those are beautiful and would be great for my granddaughter to be able to make for her teacher for Christmas. Thank you for taking your time to share your video.
Absolutely gorgeous very ornate & proper traditional Christmas looking. I am definitely going to make an attempt to making some for my tree this year as I prefer a traditional Christmas tree as it's full of memories from when I was a child oh happy days & my 5 grandchildren just love hearing all about the time when I was a child. 🎅🎄🎁⛄
The details on that beautiful antique sewing machine did not go unnoticed!! Gorgeous!!! The ornaments are so cute, I can't wait to make one! Thank you for this classy video!

What a clear demo, with peaceful, "quiet" music. Beautiful craft. Can't wait to try it.

Beatlesfansonia. I tried your suggestion and it worked great!
Excellent tip! Thanks
Beyond the tutorial (which is great), I love that you are using an ‘antique’ sewing machine!
Even though you made this video about 5 years ago I still refer to it every year to make these. Love how simple they are to make. Thank you!!

I made these for my coworkers a few years ago. You just popped up on my phone again today! Making more! Thanks CC!
Keep coming back year after year to watch and make. You’d think I’d remember how to but 🤷♀️. Still love them as much as first time I watched. ❤
