Arrested for startling an officer of the law. We can all sleep peacefully in our beds knowing this cop is patrolling the streets of McCracken County.
I agree 100 percent with CLR. If an officer turns off his body camera, it should automatically be accepted that whatever he and his colleagues said would be regarded by a court as self-incriminating. Otherwise why would he feel that need to turn it off. What did he have to hide?
If I was the woman I would have chosen to remain silent after the second officer read her her rights. He was not present and did not witness what happened between the first officer and the women that lead to the first officer deciding to arrest her. I would have made that point to him. His actions were clearly prejudiced in favour of his pal.
It is also disgusting that the second officer was allowed to complete the arrest whilst the first officer who escalated this situation went on his way. The tyrant did that so that his name wouldn't be on the arrest sheet.
I certainly saw NO other meetings or processions taking place.

A cop tried similar when my ex and I were on our way to visit my parents one time. He was trying to force his way in front of us on an expressway despite there being room behind us. He was in a Jeep and no uniform. He flashes a badge.
I have cops in my family who always tell me if someone flashes a badge while not in a department car or uniform. So I called the police station (non emergency) and told them so they said to go their. I got a call back that it WAS a cop and he wanted to "speak with you" and she said he was delivering a file.
He walks out and starts talking down to me. I interrupted him and explained that my cousin, the Captain of a different precinct, with 2 cousins as detectives, said to never pull over for a badge flash.

@@runfortheroses6454 I wrote the Sheriff after I saw another video of a completely different situation. I will give him credit for responding that day and asking if I would like to actually sit down and talk about suggestions. However, I'm no moron and I have no interest in going in alone so I could potentially get targeted by any of the bad deputies. Do you have any possible candidates you would vote for in the next election? I'm not a cop or I would run.
Mccracken County is a great place to live, not the City of Paducah, but the actual county. We haven't had a sheriff interested in pushing for transparency, or actually making sure his Deputies KNOW THE LAWS they're being paid to enforce. It's the Good Ol' Boy System, where the only candidate on the ticket is the guy who gets the nod from the outgoing Sheriff. I could care less if the candidate is a career cop, as long as he is actually pushing his deputies to follow the Constitution they swore the oath to protect, focus their energy on real crime, aren't terrified to actually do the job and using the least amount of escalation possible, and most importantly supporting the right of the people in their community to carry firearms. If it were me I would absolutely award citizens for being responsible gun owners. The county has always been perfectly fine about issuing CCDW's before the state went Constitutional Carry, but unlike a lot of other Sheriff's in nearby states I haven't seen one in Mccracken County who says he'll stand against any of the Unconstitutional gun laws.
I'm not trying to rant I just think our county, and even the city, would be better if we united around a good candidate who is tough on real crime, encouraged citizens to complain about the cops who aren't professional in dealing with the public, and focused hard on getting to know the members of community. Most of the great Deputies recently retired, or are on their way out. Then we're stuck with the crap like this, or the ones like the guy who nearly killed the guy cuffed in the back of car when an acorn fell on his cruiser in Florida. Judging by the arrest of that lady at Macdonalds I could see him possibly getting crazy. Let me know if you have a good suggestions.

The officer's body cam shows what the officer saw when she approached his cruiser. He was talking to another officer who saw the whole thing. At no point did the other officer seem concerned that she was walking up.
The arresting officer seemed to have seen her approaching out his side window, and he started rolling the window down to talk with her. At no point did he seem startled or in fear of her.
She spent a night in jail for this.
The prosecutor thought there was enough evidence to charge her, and tried to get her to plead guilty.
Her public defender made inappropriate sexual advances to her.
A judge threw out the charges.

We're after power and we mean it. There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced, or objectively interpreted - and you create a nation of law-breakers - and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with.”

We could free our country from this by ending the drug war, if we did it would take so much money and justification away from abusive law enforcement. The drug war funds these buffoons to go on these fishing trips and harass people looking for crimes. If you've ever had something stolen or been a victim of crime you get to see just how important that crime is, they couldn't care less about your stolen dirt bike. All while there's countless cops out on the road pulling over random cars looking for drugs and money to confiscate and people to imprison. Yet when your dortbike is stolen it takes them 5 hours to when show up and then it's one cop just to file a report not to investigate. If only cops could profit from finding the dirt bike... yet 5 cops are gonna show up if someone's tag light is out.
