I’m also a very big fan of the full tang drip point ones. Noting longer than this in size. The weight is very good. Although the weight of the Idin is best for me. Only negative with the Idin is it not being a full tang.
Hi Mike I own the SWC one in oak beautiful knife, he was the maker after Alan wood but also sadly died, I had the latest emberleif version with black micarta handle but didn’t feel the handle material and went to bushcraft show last year and swapped it for brand new oak handle and some cash lol👌
Nice knife! It’s not 01 (the number zero), but O1. I believe the letter O designates it as an oil hardening steel. And likewise the A in A2 tool steel designates it as an air hardening steel.
I’ve sold Condor knives. All of their knives are knock offs of every other brand. The quality is basic. But not bad. You should be careful reversing the origin of a knife before claiming that it’s a copy?????
I think the 'bushcraft knife' concept is basically this silhouette with wood handles, obviously the various companies manufacturing bushcraft knives are going to make very similar looking ones. Pretty much all of them are great design wise. If you like Ray Mears (I've watched his TV shows since I was a kid) you might want to get one of his branded knives. I think for the price though, as cool as all of his bushcrafting programs on TV have been, I'd rather spend my money on other knives.
@Genri-fd5ec totally agree. First, find the right knife for you. It could be a mora which cost very little and are good knives. Or have a knife made for you. I’ve put aside my ray mears because I found a knife I prefer. But there are loads of knives out there to use. Find the one that fits your needs. I tell my students this. And remember. Terrain dictates
@ although I like Mears. I’d never buy any more of his gear. This knife was enough. Since my course I’ve learned more about Bushcraft than was taught. I’ll make a video about the course one day. And pass on some truths.
Always loved this design

Nice review. They are a great knife, I don't use mine as much as some others I have but it does get used. Thanks for sharing.
It’s been a great knife to use
If you sell it, im interested (as long it is below the 1000 mark :) )

Would a mora companion do the same
I believe that it would work well. But it’s not the same quality. So it’s very possible to break
It's nothing more then a Condor Bushlore copy basically as far as design goes. Sure it works well.
You believe Mears copied another knife?
