Nice video Rob. John is a cracking guy... I ordered a Meister from in O1 with Oak scales. Regular contact and then he said "knifes ready, I'm going up to a friend in the Lakes... do you want me to drop it off?"... I live on the Coast of North Yorkshire! Fantastic knife and excellent customer service.

Hey Rob, I've just watched this video again, i think i need help! Anyway, i heard the reason for the massive ricasso is for when you're wearing gloves in the winter. That way you can choke up the blade a bit. I don't really like handling knives with gloves, so it's not for me, but i can see the rest of the blade shape looks purposeful. Keep up the good work, diolch.
Great review rob! Unfortunately it ended up costing me as I couldn’t not have one! Very impressed with it so far. The sheath that came with mine was much improved to the one yours has. John was a thoroughly nice bloke and even hand delivered. Keep up the good work mate 👍

Hello Rob, You're looking well mate. Raining? In Wales? Never?! Hahaha! Wales without water would be unthinkable, it's part of the glory of the land! I know you know that Rob ;). Ray Mears is a knob, a knob but he does at least know alot of woodcraft skills but he's too much of a big boy scout for my liking and allways has been, and he's been taking the piss for years with his daylight robbery prices and his staking claims to on knife designs that are pretty much as old as the hills! £590! An O1 knife! He's a greedy b*stard! Anyway, with all that out of the way, great video Rob, allways appreciate your no nonsense approach and I would've loved to have seen the Nomad fellas face when you called his knife a bullsh*t design! Hahaha! All taken in the good spirit it was meant in no doubt mate and that's good to know :). The knife has a bit too many bells and whistles for me but there's no doubt it's very well made just not my cup of tea though. I'll look forward to watching more of your videos soon mate :). Oh aye, that Joe X fella is going to do a destruction video on the TRC Apocalypse in Elmax, you and I discussed the knife once before and I really can't stand the damn thing, handles too flat and it's too narrow round the neck, but I knew all that and still paid £450 or thereabouts for it! I must've had a turn! Hahaha! I'm going to grind off the handle scales and replace them with thicker ones and probably going the spine flat aswell. The thing that annoys me most is that the older model in M390 was 5mm thick so not 6.3mm which as you know is OTT, and it had a convex grind, and it had holes drilled though the tang instead of chunks of steel being cut out. The handle was still just as flat and the same damn shape and the scales weren't removable either! At least there were more features that were right than were wrong on that model! Take care Rob and best wishes to you and all of your friends and family mate :), take care now :).
I was only looking at this knife the other night on their site. I sadly dismissed it because I thought it too thick at 5mm. Will be very interested to watch this review now!😁
I tell ya, I’m very happy with my Rob Evans knife! I can’t imagine that blade being as good. But I will never know because I can’t spend $1000 for a knife. Thank you Rob!
Totally agree on the ricaso, I thought that as soon as you took it out the sheath, looks a fantastic carva though. I also find button fastners on a knife sheath annoying after a while, okay if your moving about, but pretty impossible in the uk you'd end up getting arrested. Fire maple pot is great use mine for everything, from cooking Squirrel to baking bread, and of course ideal for making a brew.👍🏻
