ridiculous. Beauty diminishes with age - if men were conditioned to perfect beauty, they would dissolve relationships. Men just don't demand that a partner has to be above-average attractive. In fact, women are more likely to break up relationships and, in turn, have extremely high demands and standards that only a fraction of existing men can demonstrate. For men there is plenty of "good enough" and especialy, "realistic for me".
If someone has "Beauty" or "Handsomeness" it means they are younger and you are more likely to be able to have children with that person. So it's programmed into our Genes.
@@027Jayjay there are some things that are more beautiful than others. Beauty is not all distributed the same, and the world would be a boring place if it were

Not always ... sometimes beauty is just so external, it's like a beautiful car with a broken engine ( heart).... I think, just be good-looking but with a beautiful engine so you be a joyful ride.. Looks fades, not love, face gets wrinkles, not love , you may never keep up with the expectations of looks, but you can always love.... a loving heart brings comfort, joy, company, and care ... but looks are only a desire that fades ...
@@CarpentersSon you’re conveniently missing the point though. They didn’t say the beautiful person would cure your mental health issues. Nobody has any level of expectations, based on their looks. I know plenty of awful people, who are ugly. The context was something pleasant to look at, that cheers you up. Whether that’s a person or a tree, you should look for the good. If not, it says a lot more about your personal state, than your looks ever would. That’s your logic right?
I like seeing very old black and white footage of people cursing as far back as the 40s. My grandparents constantly tell me that people didn't curse so much back in the day. But in so many of the outtakes they curse
I don't think people used the f word like they do today. Today people use the f word when they're just casually talking. I think that's what they mean. People had a little more respect back then than they do in today's world.
You get a better sense of the true raciness from earlier media. From the introduction of "talkies" in the late 1920s til about 1934, film was much more reflective of the gauntlet of reality -- films in this short but sweet pre-code era showed everything from sexual liaisons to criminal activity to gender fluidity and queerness. The also were less Formalist ie they had a more insolent, irreverent and flippant tone. Then the Hays Code happened. Hays was a very strict form of censorship adopted in US and though it was first adopted by the studio sysyem in 1930, it was only enforced beginning in 1934. It lasted about 30 yrs. No profanity, nudity, PDA or "suggestive dancing", no implying sex outside marriage, no mixing races, no portraying the clergy as comic or villains, no illicit drugs, criminals must always be punished and not sympathized with, no childbirth, and most importantly Hays was overly concerned with an explicit goal to eradicate any neutral or positive "inference of sexual perversion" ie Queerness. (Content creators developed a Queer Code in response - symbolic aesthetic qualities that communicated queerness to those 'in the know', often well dressed and sly but untrustworthy male villains or a tough gal associated with jail or crime but who wasnt a gun moll. Once TV started it was even more tightly censored. Bedrooms of married couples (such as Lucy and Ricky) had to have 2 twin beds and you could not even show a husband and wife in the bedroom at the same time (not even if they were just packing luggage for a trip). Pregnancy was taboo. It was groundbreaking when Lucille Ball still appeared on I Love Lucy while pregnant! Since she was pregnant so was the character, BUT since *the actors could not refer to Lucy being pregnant or having a baby*, they had to use a variety of creative euphemisms like "waiting for the blessed event" 😂 while she is obviously wearing a maternity outfit (which maternity wear looked like a blown up version of toddlers outfits well into the 1980s or '90s. Hays wasnt replaced by the MPAA until 1968 (though enforcement started to wane a few yrs earlier). So there is this 3 decade span of the 20th century where 95% of all the media we have from the time gives us a very sanitized and unrealistic view of reality.

Dementia and Alzheimer’s will do that.

People in general care way too much about that stuff, men included, that is why men ranking women based in apparence it was a sort of trend on internet, it is why women are expected to be pretty and society is harder with women that are not considered good-looking, because as a group men mainly care/focus on the women's beauty thinking that that was/are the only or most important merit a woman can have, it is why pretty women tends to be more famous that the "average" ones in the entrateiner industry, men care so much for beauty that most of wealthy or celebrities men tends to choose models or like-models women and way youngers sometimes to be their partner or even wives, it is why men tends to be more "nice" with women they find pretty than the other ones (I have first hand experience in this in both sides and men always treat "the prettier" one better) and this is normal since little boys, I know it because kids in general find me pretty and little boys have chased me in public places, asked her mom to let them be with me instead because they like me, they give flowers or other gift sometimes, open the door for me while telling me I'm pretty and the same go for the girls, they do not "flirt" (I don't know what other word use but they copy what adults do when they flirt) as the little boys but they like me and want to be with me and tell me I'm pretty, it is a human thing not a women thing.
