Infotaining as always! You did not mention what seems like a unique feature of the ulanzi- the super great utility of the cold shoe near the ball head. One can mount a mic receiver to the tripod, for example, and switch quickly between two cameras while maintaining the same setup. I do this with gopro/RX100 and Rode Wireless Go2.
Yup, what Masakazu said! The NU Grip is super useful and just a damn good product! I've used the bobbers in the past and obviously you only get arms length. So to find a bobber with extension and tripod all in one is pretty dope! www.nu-bear.com/
It would've been nice if the Nu Bear tripod's head had a quarter inch instead of the GoPro connection. Would've been more versatile, because then you could place any type of head on it.
The good thing is NuBear has a wrist strap so when in the water Nubear is my go to, everything else I use the gopro 3 way 2.0. Going to grab the pixie and order the insta selfie stick.
Running the three way 2.0 in a scorpion style grip is one dope extra feature nobody touches on. Just figured I'd put it out there since followers here seem like a great crowd that might have the need for that setup and probably got the 2.0 at some point. 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🦆🔥

a manfrotto pixi has been in my bag for years. as I've only got go pro's at the moment (insta360 being saved for at the moment) I use a 1/4 20 mount with a go pro quick release base so I can switch to a chesty or floating handle quickly.
Dude, still LOVE Snap Mounts! I mainly use them on my windshield mount and then when I have one of these poles in the action cam mode for the GoPro or Osmo Action👍

Loving my Nu Grip! I was hoping it was able to float with a heavier add on to the Go pro such as a underwater case or with my added ulanzi magnetic quick connect.....and extended a bit longer. Might look into those other once you mentioned. Thanks 👍
Dude, that’s such a killer grip to have! Just to have the security of knowing that if you do drop it, you’re not losing four or five hundred dollars is awesome!
A 360 camera doesn't care if it's at an angle. It just has to be aligned with the extension. Get an adapter that rotates the camera 90 degrees and you can level the camera on a not level tripod.
Yeah, unfortunately they're a little spendy, but they're that way because they're a mom and pop shop! Hopefully they'll tell more of their story at some point, because it's super cool to hear how they developed the product, packaged it in their home, and turned their living room into a shipping center! I love supporting amazing products from amazing creators, even if they're a bit more than the big corporation's stuff👍

Do you still feel like the Osmo Action is a good alternative compared to the GoPro 9? Considering the bugs I’ve heard with the 9, and the price difference, I’m leaning Osmo… but I’m not sure if it’s a good choice with Action 2 being rumored and Hero 10 on the horizon.
I've switched back to the Osmo Action for almost everything action, but oddly enough, the latest GoPro update seemed to fix one of my GoPros. The other is still terrible though. Osmo Action is for sure the safe bet!

I tried it and it was for sure interesting. Not that I don't see the use cases for it, but it felt like one of those swiss army knives that have way more tools on them than you need. There was something not intuitive about it to me. I'll play with it more though and let you know if anything changes!

Hey brother, I totally hear you! I've had a ton of issues with the Hero 9 and have actually switched back to the Osmo Action as my main action camera. So for your trip, I would either say grab an Osmo Action if you're going to be moving around a lot and need that extra stabilization. OR, move to the ZV-1 for higher quality video and audio! The ZV-1 won't do as much to stabilize your footage, but will look significantly more professional👍
I have been looking at the Ulanzi MT-16. However, have you tested the Ulanzi MT-34 also? I think it combines everything you liked about the Insta360 Invisible Selfie Stick and Manfrotto Pixie. I have the manfrotto and a couple of other sticks the problem I have with all of them is a get a lot of handling noise on both my GoPro and osmo action
Looks like some great options, I bought the floating handle that I do like for water sports but it's not very convenient for much else. Been trying to decide between the 3 way or a gorilla :)
A gorilla pod is super useful, but definitely doesn’t get you the extra extension. The new 3 way does do a lot. For me though, I’ll get a lot more use out of the Invisible Selfie stick/Manfrotto Pixie duo👍

Instead of the ulanzi MT-09 u should have taken the MT-08,it's got a ball head mount instead of the action camera mount ❤️☺️

I believe that it's called a monopod when it has a little tripod on the bottom with a long stick.

I get the ball head issue but in linear horizon level just set it recording and then set it down tilted and it should remain level no?
Were can i buy extra gopro buckle mounts with the rubber at the back?

Looks like some great options, I bought the floating handle that I do like for water sports but it's not very convenient for much else. Been trying to decide between the 3 way or a gorilla :)
A gorilla pod is super useful, but definitely doesn’t get you the extra extension. The new 3 way does do a lot. For me though, I’ll get a lot more use out of the Invisible Selfie stick/Manfrotto Pixie duo👍
