29:59 in - I contacted Insta360 shortly after purchasing my Ace Pro and spoke with them about the minimum focus distance. It is 1.3 feet. It’s a bit misleading to say that anything closer than 7 feet is blurry when it’s actually anything closer than 1.3 feet. I vlog with the Ace Pro at arm’s length and my face is in perfect focus.
@@GearsAndTech Have you tested it floating the Ace Pro? I think this camera is a little heavier than most, so does it actually float? And with that dive case on it? Thanks!

Great Videos...Thanks I bought the Insta360 Quick Release Mount from Amazon a couple weeks ago and sent it back. Hers why. The fold down "GoPro" style mounts caused the camera to wobble when mounted. I noticed that they were not really well designed into the unit. I was upset with this being that I liked the new design. The mount that came with the camera is rock solid so I m staying with that. Keep up the great vids. Really enjoy your channel.

What you are saying is that I will also have to order a cold shoe mount for the mic? If so... wondering if you would get the cold shoe mount or that protective exoskeleton case that you showed that has a cold shoe mount on it?
Thanks for the review. I got the GoPro Hero 12 creator package a few days ago. I also like the richer image from the GoPro during daytime better than Ace Pro. I'm currently debating whether I should return it to get the Action 4 or Ace Pro instead. However, I'm concerned that the Ace pro is having a focusing problem based on some YT reviewers. I just can't put up with Gopro's trashy image quality in low light situation considering I'll be doing in car talk and install videos. Additionally, it takes an eternity for gopro to recharge.
In car talk ace pro will work fine If your in car installs will be closer than 4 feet from camera you need lens mod, or consider insta 360 x3. Really great option with 360 camera as well

That's good to hear. I'll have to check it out Im certain it's much further than 1.3 feet in my testing.

So this camera isn't great for vlogging unless you extend it like six feet in front of you?
There are ways to make it focus closer. But you need to add a macro lens onto it to do that.
