Easter Egg!!! How to load Integra synth collections inside FA-06/08

- In this video I want to show you an easter egg that I found inside the FA-06/08 workstation. The FA's sound engine is derived from the Integra-7 sound module. It has selected SuperNATURAL Acoustic tones, but all of the SuperNATURAL Synth tones. This means that all of the synth collections that were created for the Integra-7 should work inside the FA-06/06. Please check out the video to learn how to take advantage of this easter egg.
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE in 2023!! More content will be uploaded in the next couple of months!!

You're a life saver! I just sold my I-7 and bought the Fa-06 because I wanted the sequencer / sampler / controls and almost had a heart attack when I couldn't access those I-7 sounds!
Sweet! Glad to hear it!!!
Love you man. Bought an FA06 the other week and loving it. Disapointing that cant have all of the expansion packs loaded at once !! But then came across another one of your exceptional videos as in the above. BRILLIANT !! Now i have to many sounds to play with LOLZ !! Thankyou x
Pianoshaun71 I really need help so I did exactly what he said in another video loaded them onto the thumb drive placed it into the keyboard turned it off healthy button to update mode but it does not recognize the file on the thumb drive
Hi Ed.. Thank you so much for the videos I enjoy all of them.. I was hoping that the FA could use the Integra sounds, and you just proved it can.. I am new to Roland, (long time Korg user) and purchased a Fantom X which I just sold and am purchasing a FA-08 today. Hoping that Roland would release the electric guitars for the Integra so that we would have the supernatural experience on the FA..
Another great aspect of the FA :-)
Thanks Ed. Great simple explanations of the process of adding sounds.
Real great info here, Ed! Thank you so much!
I need to load that D-50 legendary package
This is so cool, holy crap!
Bless your heart Ed, thank you!!!
You are thee man! Thanks Ed!
Really impressed with your efforts to clearly demonstrate these ideas. Great resource!
Thanks, Ed. You do a great job for Roland.
wow thanks man! that was a really big help. I'm New to the Roland fa 06 so this is quite exciting for me!! lol
So literally everything in the Integra 7 can be loaded into FA-06? Or is there certain stuff that is unique to the Integra 7 that we cant get? And also can we have everything loaded in at the same time? Just like the Integra 7?
thank you for this mate!!!
You have taught me so much about my FA06 and this^!! is just amazing!! So exciting! Thank you :) You are a great man!!
Awesome, thanks for sharing! Why Roland don't actively advertise this feature beggars belief. If I'd have known you could do this I would have purchased my FA-07 upon release. The stings in the Jupiter 8 set are great! :)
Thank you so much !
Brilliant.
Bless bro!
I Just got my FA 09 and I was kind of disappointed all those sounds and couldn't get them and I found your site # YOU THE MAN! " Gonna learn all about my board with your Help Thanks you'll Great!!!!! Be Bless thanks again

Awesome !! thanks !
ty for this
I bought one. Awesome!!!!
Thanks very much!
What’s the difference between the usb or the sad card
Hi I just bought the FA 06 and try to import the integra sounds but all the svd files at the moment of importing it says "incorrect file " can you help me wtih this , it reads perfect the sd card with the files but it gives me that message I try to search on the web but no luck , thanks
Can you do this with a usb flash drive? Because I have a MacBook there is no sd card inserts
Unfortunately not. I had to borrow a friends laptop
I tried this step by step and my SVD files looked like docs. The FA-07 then told me they were 'incorrect' files. What did I do wrong?
I'm sold, I definitely want an FA-08 now. All I need to do is to sell my Roland MC vintage 80s micro-composer which fetch more than a thousand bucks on eBay...
Nice to see you're still sticking with the FA...although I am a bit surprised since this feature is known for ages. Instructions on how to import Integra sounds into the FA models can be found on most of the Integra sound collection pages and there is a couple of youtube videos about it being online for many months, too
You're a genius
I have the Roland FA O7 does it work on the FA 07
YES!!!!! Give it a shot!!!!
How many sounds can you import into the Roland Fa 06?
I just downloaded sound on axial, but why is the format .bin not .svd? so it can't be read on my Roland FA 06. do you have any advice for me? thanks
ty for video
Please, how much internal memory , is it expandable ?
Does the new software update prevent the loading of the Integra synth collections?
you are a wizard..
Good evening sir, how to download and install tones gw8 keyboard please put a one video sir
512 sound import is the limit, right? I tried importing them all one by one but it seems to get stuck after 512. I guess I'll have to sort through the sounds in the sound bank keep only the ones I like, hopefully it's easy to figure out.
I wonder if this has changed with the new 2.0? I'll have to try it!
@@fourthtunz it didnt
If only they could figure out a way to load all the expansion sounds together, that would be amazing. I'm scared to make sequencer songs with these sounds because I'll always have to have the accompanying expansion for the song.
I wish I could like this twice !
Hey guys, has anyone experienced "the disk is write-protected" when trying this? I've been able to export songs and sequences from my FA already but I can't import these files to get the sounds. Any help is appreciated!
i haven't tried this yet - but i am trying to download some sounds now. will let you know!
My only regret on the Roland fa-06 is that I didn't get the FA-08
It would be cool if the jd xi could use the jd xa patches
So, the FA's has all Integra waves???
Is there another Easter Egg? Can the Integra-7 load FA workstations banks?
will all the axial fa sounds fit if i try to import them all? ive imported a lot but reached a point where only 2 init tone spaces spare.
Hi Ed. Thanks for the info. I don't need the full library, only certain patches. Is there a was just to import certain patches from my studio sets.
se puede poner sonidos de un korg de la misma forma?
tell me which one it's better bettween that one and the DS88??
great trick!! thanks! do you know how to get and import the Studio sets of Jupiter 80 in the FA-07?
Hey Ed, can you tell me what the future is going to be for the FA 06/08 in 2017 and beyond? I know it is a wonderful board. Just thinking of the support.
Sorry, I do not have access to that information.
DarkStar Audio which is a better sounding synth the fantom G or the FA?
Great Video Ed!!!
I figured out with your explaintion, that me IMPORT "SN-S" Files from the Integra...!!!
BIG QUESTION!
Is there a way ...maybe on Windows... "To Record" my owen *.SVD file?
... a Great "Distrotion Heavy Metal Guitar ...for example"...???
So what i mean is, to Record normally in a DAW ...and than "Convert" the WAV to *.SVD...!?
Is such a Converter App or Program out there?
Or have you a idea how i can do that?
anyone know of way to get internal drum samps out of FA for use in daw to replace fa tracks?

ua-cam.com/video/JwU1Ao53Djw/v-deo.html&list=PLmLJ2Wanv6-AKLKHK02GCFEj7kcNCRms4
Check out these 2 links. You can either 1. resample the internal drums as samples and then import those samples into your DAW, or 2. Use the FA as an audio/midi interface and play the internal sounds directly into your DAW. What ever way you choose is up to you.
hmm...well thnks! but I'm trying to find ways of getting samps out without 'resampling' so..direct bulk dump would be great..looking for hack or something. But in mean time...if there is way to populate pad banks with samples rapidly, etc...you see what goal is. I watched the vids you linked, the first one seemed to be about 'resampling' only. The second about using FA with daw. I don't think there's anything in them faster or easier than 'resampling' . But of course if you have any tips that would be great! thanks!
Create a backup on the FA's SD card and load it into your computer. Look for a folder named 'samples'. If I remember, all of the internal samples that come with the keyboard will be in there. I don't believe there is a direct bulk for samples. I would really suggest using the FA as an interface and re-recording the drum sounds you are trying to use. I'm also not sure what you are ultimately asking. Do you want to get the samples out of the FA, or load samples into the FA? Should not need a hack either way.
Wow they got the d50 sounds, can u demo it??
so, i'm assuming you installed the mini-SD card into a USB stick that accepts the mini card right?
Dear friends, Can I do this on fanton g7?tks
+Paulo Rogério h,i i dont think, we see in video only series fa and integra.
No
Hello Ed.. ... I would like to download Supernatural BRASS SOUNDS and edit the sections just like you did with the Fantom G. Can I donload brass sounds???
Does anybody knows if this trick works with Juno-DS as well?
Sorry, it does not work with the Juno-DS. The Juno-DS has a completely different type of synth engine. Sorry.
Thanks Ed!
I was wondering if I could go towards Juno-DS beacuse of multisampling option - unfortunately Roland didn't make this choice easy as usual.
Hey Ed, I hope both of you are doing at your new location...Does the Integra have all of these patches in it or do I have to load them in??
Is there any way to sample the tones/sounds before you load them to your Roland FA banks ?
I am really curious of this as well! Please let me know if you've found a way, as I am very picky with sound banks and the Integra 7 does not provide enough variety for me
Is the FA 06/08 only limited to Integra 7 sound banks? Is there no possibility whatsoever of importing different soundbanks found online?
It has also it's own soundbanks plus all SRX sample boards from Roland to load
So do this work the other way around?
Hi Ed please advice what tone to use for everywhere Fleetwood Mac for introduction. Look forward to hear from you. Thanks
What happens to all my sequenced songs if I switch out to other sounds engines ? Will my painstakingly created sequences retain there current individual samlings ?
Also, will this erase all my Pad mode presets ?
Thanks
Very good question. That's my concern too.
Can you make a full backup of everything?
Hello friends of Roland Corporation !!! Please, I need you to help me with this concern: Once I updated my FA-08 to version 2.0; can I volever install the previous version, as it came from the factory? Thanks for your help!!!
Diego Vásconez, from Riobamba - Ecuador
Can I load sounds from jupiter or another genre??
So if you have a Roland FA-08, you don't need an Integra 7 to have access to all the Integra 7 sounds? I just find it perplexing.
The FA has the Integra engine in it. that's why it works
Hey Ed! Can you tell me, how much place are there in the fa 06? How many sound banks can i drop in fa06 from integra and fa 06 banks? Or better select favorites and load it ?
Will this work for the f0A7?
Yes, they’re all the same it’s just the number of keys, the FA07 came out a few years after the other 2 coz the FA06 was mainly for studio and the FA08 has full weighted keys and too heavy and big to transport for gigs so they made an in between model but they all do exactly the same
Does this still work? If so I'm gonna get one of these
Is Roland going to try and scramble to do a software update to stop this?
Marco Mizzoni I hope not lol I’m just about to buy a 06 or 07 and hope this little “hack” or whatever you wanna call it works. The more sound the merry lol
@@liamcrittenden does it still work bro
Ed, on one of these videos I saw you playing a keyboard that had the integra 7 logo on it, is there such a keyboard with the Integra sounds in it?
Um, think you're missing the point of the video. This keyboard uses the Integra 7 modelling and has most of the Integra 7 sounds and he is downloading Integra 7 patches directly into the FA
Roland Fa 06-08 is very good series, but lack of ability to load and save patches and samples to usb memory is really ...an absurd in 2019 ! It's really malicious idea to not add this feature since this Roland HAS Usb slot for pendrive . I hope there will be some patch to Roland firmware
I tried this with my fa-07 it doesn't work.
only works with 06/08
Pls need an advice...
If i am NOT concerned with the live controls, styles, but want good tone quality and depth then which is better roland fa 06 or Korg pa 700?
Thanks in advance....
Please clarify:the “import folder “that you dragged and dropped the files into was onto the SD card correct???
yes
Are these sounds permanently installed then?
In the same way could i load user svd files from the xp series? Fantom x series and fantom g series?
Is this possible? Can we load svd files from different companies? Please let me know if I can!
Hi
Is there any risks that viruses in the computer might get into the Roland FA by doing this procedure?
G.O. Dahlie no
How is this an Easter egg? That’s not the definition of a Feature that’s hidden on purpose….
As easy as those instructions are, I haven't been successful at loading sounds unto my board...
Ha ha first to comment and like the video
*All what i hear is: go ahead...go ahead....go ahead...go ahead...go ahead.. ;)*

About 12 years ago i owned a Roland rs-70 and it was pretty good all round. I opted to go with korgs about 7 years ago and was happy with the korgs,
Today i expanded my rig to include the FA06. What the fuck have roland been doing for the past 12 years????? This synth is being massively miss sold. It sounds nothing like the integra or the jupiters, I am not dumb, I didnt expect to get the integra 7 + 61 keys, sampler and sequencer in the fa06 but this is pathetic. back its going and im off to contemplate Yamaha or mac book pro and plugins.
roland have repackaged and dressed up their ageing sounds in a box with a few gimmicks. I hoped for more from roland.
it's not so bad. I 'sorta' know what you mean. But it sounds pretty good. What workstation would be so much better? I'm pretty happy with mine. Yeah lots of things I wish it had, but I looked at all the workstations, ended up here and think I made best choice for me.
i am sorry to say rhis bur its the truth.I have a fantomg 7 ..I am desapointed with roland. In thislast 10 or more years roland is a desilusion.....................
