Great video Ed, it's a pity there's no one replying to all the questions. But here's my input to make our own arpeggios: 1. Start the sequencer and clean it for data 2. Using track 1, 1-4 measures 3. Record your arpeggio 4. Save as a song (incl. studio set) 5. Pres to the arpeggio button, and scroll through the user locations. 6. Import track one by pressing Shift+import(song), 7. Import the track of your newly made song to user arpeggio (remember to set "Mortif"=ON). Now you can play arpeggio with your own style. (See more on page 34 in the FA 08 Reference book)
Wow, I hear so much melody parts I can put in with that haha, that was great. Right now I have DS61 and JDXI and love them both, looking to buy the FA 06 to add. Looking on ebay for one :)
that's cool. is it possible to have an arpeggio running on each part in a studio set WITHOUT using the sequencer to record it? Like the Motif can have several different arps running at once.
hi i'm new to the fa 06 and i have some issues with it: first, when I press record i dont hear any metronome and i cant see the bpm no matter what i press? anyone familiar with this problem and knows how to fix it? thanks
Hey Ed, I really enjoy your videos. Would you be able to do a video on the Roland JDXi arpeggiator. I have used it and I have gone into the settings, however I am not sure on some of the features. Eg motif up, down, accent etc. There are a lot of videos on the JDXi, however none on the arpeggiator. Thank you
Ed, is there a way to latch the left hand chords, (and when I press another chords, the previous played notes stops) I went deep into it but didn't found....pls help
It only lets you scroll through voices designated to that instrument group. For example you can only scroll through pianos without going onto strings or brass etc then it’ll stop won’t let you go any further, you can turn it off
Can someone clarify me the different between Fa 06, 07 and 08? I notice most of tutorial talk about Fa 06 and Fa 08 and not much about Fa 07. Is Fa07 different from the other two?
Hi Ed, I own an FA-08 but a real novices, are there pre recorded songs other than the demo's that would have other studio sets already set up available?
+RPdigital i need like a workstation i have just a yamaha keyboard that only has like 10 sounds and its midi but i want a usb keyboard by everything i mean has reverb delay echo and more effects plus a lot of sounds
I wish you would do a lesson on how to make more traditional styles of music ( rock, 50s oldies, country, etc...) Every video is always making a 4 measure loop of random techno music ...just saying ...real musicians bought this keyboard too ...just a lil food for thought
Ed...I really appreciate these tutorials, dude! Helping me unlock the most from my FA-08! Happy playing my friend.
I think I'm now loving my FA-06 much more; it's not only a keyboard with new voices.

Yes you can : the only limit is your SD card memory space.

hi Ed, I’ve never tackled my FA08 seriously yet, just used it as a stage piano so far. Time to get started, don’t you think.:)
Ed, is there a way to latch the left hand chords, (and when I press another chords, the previous played notes stops) I went deep into it but didn't found....pls help
When you have made this sequence can you than use it as some kind of accompinament and chance it on different chords?
What are the options for folks whom want the Arpeggios of the FA-series, but not the workstation?
midi da import export.lol
Is that possible to assign any effects to arpeggio and save?
Hi Ed, love your tutorials ! Quick Question: can I use a fantom 07 as a master to a fantom 6 (to make use of the bigger keyed) ?
Hi Ed how do I set up the D-beam on the fa-06?
Can you record the audio of a song in the midi sequencer? Like a wav file that plays simultaneously with the midi files?
What's the name of this keyboard u are using
What does lock and unlock do on fa

Awesome. The FA is the easiest workstation to use.

+JacobRivard What do you mean with everything? Do you need piano or workstation or arranger?
+RPdigital i need like a workstation i have just a yamaha keyboard that only has like 10 sounds and its midi but i want a usb keyboard by everything i mean has reverb delay echo and more effects plus a lot of sounds
The answer to that is NO, not for 500$

Try the Roland Juno-DS 61
only thing missing is previewing samples when importing

it's quicker this way ^ ^ it's a tutorial not a conference.
Need, NAOW!
Arpeggios in Roland is a something like big mistake. It's disaster. Yamaha and Korg rulezz.
+TUREK really, how so? I was very impressed with them in this video.
I wish there was a rack version of the FA, just so I can have the Arpeggios.
Your grammer and incomplete sentances are a disaster....
