Your bachelor eating tip today is very timely, since the wife is out of town for the weekend. I’m going to grill exactly what you recommended, paired with cold lager.
boom....gon' be goooood too
Being alone is underrated.
As underated as not being alone
@@vaughnhollund5316 having people around is overrated. I love you all but please don't come over
Being alone doesn't make you lonely
"Perhaps you should learn"...HAHAHA! George is the coolest :)
The awkward moment after every “Then I would be happy” gets me every time😂
larry, homeschoolin' IS the good shit lol. your words and tunes transcend the audio.
❤ although I don’t play it anymore, I still have my magnetone lap steel my grandpa got for me when I was a little girl
Missed hanging Tom, had 11 month break from my skoolin bringing twins into the world. But I think I am back in the game. Nice to see not much has changed and you are still the same old corporate Tom. Hope you and your boys are doing good!
Getting em dancing will get em drinking and the bar owner will have the band back
"well perhaps you should learn..." LOL Gold.
Already complimented before I even saw the part about me (Nate)! From the bottom of my heart thank you so much Uncle - you have no idea how much energy you’ve given me to keep learning and practicing - believe me I will get that boogie going if it’s the last damn thing I do!
In Birmingham Al, we have Don Murdoch's Highland Guitars. 95% used and vintage gear, couches to sit and hang out on, and a very loyal customer base. Been trading there since about 1990. Best place in town!
“I gotta say, uncle Larry’s foot tapping is right in the pocket” 😂 😂😂
I lost it when you said "Uncle Larry's foot taps is right in the pocket"...
Lol funny shit Tom
I have fond memories of going to Guitar Center when I was just starting playing. At that time (mid 80's) there were only a handful of stores, not like today where there are a million. The one I went to back then was on 95th street over by Western on the South Side of Chicago. The teenaged me thought it was cool as cool gets. .
Uncle Larry,
All Iam is a fan, a fan of music!!! I’ll say an educated one at that.
I really appreciate all the time, energy, and soul you put into this channel. For me, not only does it educate me and so interests me…but it’s also getting me through a tough time. It allows me to escape some negative things happening in my life and just be in the moment. Thanks man!
Thank you bro
The lap slide made me think of my fellow Canuck, blind blues guitarist Jeff Healey😊
And the depth of talent continues
Thank you keeping the quality high - I would not be here if it were not for the fact this is hands down the best guitar channel on YT (and there are literally 1000s of guitar channels to pick from).
"In Stereo" is definitely top shelf, love every track.
thank you broseph
This is my favorite zombie channel
Amen on the boogie and getting people out of their seats
This is why I hold you in such high regard Tom. We consume unbelievable content. Then we place tips in the tip jar. Then you take the tips, make amazing music, merch and high quality live streams!!!! Our investment comes back tenfold. See, it’s the circle of life Uncle Larry style!! I appreciate all you do!!
thank you brother....i couldn't agree more
Swamp gas... It's the right hand that gets the boogie dancing action going on!
Your phone quality videos are great Tom. I’m 65 years old and when I first start learning to play guitar back in the 60s and 70s, I would have loved to have a visual to see what musicians were actually doing. It would’ve made things so much easier to learn. Younger musicians don’t know how good that they have it. We learnt licks on vinyl eight track, tape and cassette tape. But I think it makes you a better musician when you have to dig for it. it helps to develop your ear.
i have preached that very thing a hundred times on this channel...they are all sick of hearing it.
they say things like "put a cork in it grandpa".....or "you think life was hard back then?? try growing up with instagram"
@@501chorusecho That’s why your the caliber of musician that you are Tom.
We used to hang around guitar shops waiting for the good players to come in and watch them. It was kind of like a real life UA-cam. Like I always say though I learned more on UA-cam than I did in my whole life. Looking back you have to respect people that got really good without UA-cam. I wasn't one of them. If you got really good back in the day then you were working hard. I just picked up what I could
@@stringlocker "If you got really good back in the day then you were working hard".....wise observation there string man
Haha I wasn't that good but I had that Boogie thing.
Woke up, went down stairs plugged straight into my 63 blonde tremolux. Raw dawg your amps once in awhile everyone! You can really feel the tone that way if you know what I mean 😉 b days next week asking for one of your amazing shirts uncle. Thank you for all the knowledge and laughs!
that Smeck looks and sounds amazing!
I love you, Tom. You are a really good dude.
Thank you bro
Boogie, we called that Canned Heat.
Uncle Larry you are quality
It's gotta boogie! Stay classy Tom!!
HOMESKOOLIN' SHIT IS HIGH QUALITY!!!!
TOP SHELF!!!!!
Massive props for the spot-on imitation of George..😂! Could totally hear his precise, wry commentary whenever I've been dithering over a guitar that he knew I really had to have...bravo!
Tom, we KNOW you care about quality of everything you are offering. Your decades of dedication to your musicianship to become one of the best of the best is PROOF of your honest and real commitment to quality. But we also love this iPhone cinematic experience, cause its honest and real.
Got a table for the Saturday show. Can’t wait.
Can’t wait for the course! So glad you and Bret are doing this. Thanks Larry.
Thanks for the videos, Uncle Larry!
Hey Uncle Larry😊 I hope you're having a wonderful weekend I cannot wait for this in August it's going to be so much fun I'm so excited

Looking forward to the Larry and Brett production. Thanks for all the inspiration.
"Then I'd be happy" LOL
I love when he says this. 😂😂
Live stream for Aug. shows! Great! That was my question for this morning.
Congrats on the album. It's amazing, deep and soulful.
Loved that intro Uncle Larry !!
God I love those guitars
As long as you keep showing up, that's all the quality this channel needs!!! I get it about quality stuff. I'm juz saying!!! You are a very unique and special human being. Thanks for putting out such amazing videos.
Grill’n and chill’n with Uncle Larry this weekend! Thanks Tom
George always has the best advice!
High quality shirts and live stream audio just like you’re playing. I fucking love everything you have taught me thank you
Tom your one of a kind that's high quality enough . Have good rest of your day !
Tom: Very grateful for the slide work and playing, always so much learning for us, thank you
Glad you like the mug Uncle Larry! Only the best for a fellow NEO boy!
Out of all the channels I’m subscribed to, yours is the only one where the notification bell is activated. 😘
Brett Papa is a diamond! The few times he's had you on his channel has been a real treat. Looking forward to the material!!
Crap.... forgot to say.. Rest assured if I can hang around long enough, I'll SO appreciate a livestream show!!
Thrilled at the thought of possibly seeing you guys' live show! 🕊
I agree with George... Happy Saturday...
I have tix.... Looking forward to seeing the show. THANKS BUK!!!
Foot tapping in a pillow…sounds like a great song title!
Your channel is great. Playing and the stories are top notch.
thank you honey
I’m really excited for your upcoming lessons with Brett . I’m sure many of my fellow classmates are as well. I can’t think of a better lesson to buy than yours. You and Mel Bay
mel who?
And I've been menaing to compliment your playing on the recent Sarah Jarosz album..I am also old enough to know Daniel Tahsian's dad's band!
thank you dude that was a fun creative record....sarah and daniel are very cool
Can’t wait for the tutorial subscription. And brilliant news about the live stream for upcoming show. I’d have given my legs to be there, so this is next best thing, and I get to still walk.
please never leave us
Larry, do you get back up north at all anymore? If you get to Rochester, NY you gotta take a trip to “the great house of guitars” what a cool vibe, Rochester has such a great music scene! You can use our pool and sip a few Genesee cream ale’s. Keep doing what your doing.✌️
Wow, that's a beautiful guitar. It looks like it's in amazing condition too.
Haaaaaaa funny shit!sounds like good ideas great channel
It's a good day when you get a mention from soft spoken Uncle Larry::) I guess I'd better get my ass in the car , take you to dinner and borrow that beautiful instrument.
That’s the best Gruhn impersonation!
One of my faves is Jackson Brown "Your Bright Baby Blues", a live track of just him and his guitar, amazing stuff. Oh, and "Good Morning" to you sir, thanks for another bit of morning Joe with Uncle Larry. "In Stereo" is super cool man, it's getting a lot of air time here.
Good morning everyone. You may not feel like you are good at that lapbar, but your musicality undergirds everything you do. Kinda think that you can't really suck, even if you put you tried. Thanks man!
For instants, G' George Center.. At first it was a shock if one was used to the store across from the Ryman, but then what he chose to carry made it even more special.. And it has George!
Those Smeck’s are magic. Jackson Browne swears by them
I have learned so much just listening to you and watching you. I have learned equally from Guthrie's work at AW. Different, but equal. you know what I mean? You guys, such a gift to us schmucks (NY slang). Thanks.
Publix red skin tater salad, yep! Spot on, man
I love the tele Justin Ostrander got from you thru his Analog Outfitters Sarge. Holy tone!
I would expect nothing but class from a Willowickian !!!
❤ Tom, I guess I’m an old guy too❤ode to the dance floor and getting people moving on it and to be xcited and passionate about the music is the goal.
Tom: Very grateful for the slide work and playing, always so much learning for us, >100k subscriber thought, you gave 10@k folks spreading the word on your great Homeskollin channel and Guthrie, Jed, Oz Noy😂, G. Gruhns Guitar
That’s funny, you just described my exact meal last holiday weekend, to a tee. Grill corn on the cob is the best, especially “elote” style! Pool, beer and carne asada tacos tonight! Have a good weekend, UL!
Happy Saturday Lar!
The Lindy Fralin blues specials are the best tele replacement pickups!
I'm so glad Uncle L mentioned getting the crowd moving! LOL That was the first thing I learned back in the late 60's early 70's. We were getting paid to make the crowd have a good time, dance, move, be happy drink more. LOL Something else I learned about newer players, they don't know how to do intros, verse, bridge, ending. How to start and finish a song in front of an audience. And/or what a hook is, how to extend a song people are rocking to. LOL I thought all that was important, but maybe I'm just too old and it doesn't matter anymore. Oh well, 8-/ --gary
Once you got em going you didn't stop for a break either. Sometimes a two hour set but keep it going.
Afternoon from sunny Scotland 🏴. Have a great weekend Tom
❤you are Skools Scot
Tom, I got my ticket to one of the August shows. I’m psyched! If you had any time or interest it would be awesome if you did a clinic sometime, maybe as an introduction / kick-off to the online catalog lessons. I’m sure many other classmates would be interested too. Thanks again for all you do!
Beautiful Smeck! Blackbird is my nominee for best foot taps ever
So glad to hear about the work with Brett Papa! I'll be first in line.
Your emphasis on real quality (over corporate facade quality) is what makes you who you are in my opinion. You know how to find the really good stuff in the world and cut through the bs and it shows. Another great video
thank you brother
Have a good weekend brother, can’t beat corn on the cob
Good Saturday morning to you sir! You’re an inspiration to me, to practice harder and never ever quit. Try Tonerider Classic Blues tele pickups….I bought a set because they were cheap, but they outperform any other ones I’ve ever tried.
The tap is in the pocket. New Tee-Shirt right there.
You keep makin’ ‘em, and I’ll keep watchin’ ‘em. You’re a “player’s player” and that goes a hell of a long way.
thank you bro jackson
@@501chorusechoTruly appreciate ya’. Always inspiring and entertaining.
I tell my band mates if we can't get the audience up dancing we are not doing our job.👯♀
Your foot tapping is definitely in the pocket! I too have watched some great guitarists tap their feet to some mysterious click track in their mind, who is the most outside jazzer to ever play in 4/4 time! Haha! You’re more like the old time solo blues player’s that had to use all the had to make em dance down at the Jukejoint. Including that piano -esque approach to guitar like the late great Robert Lockwood Jr. Who learned it directly from his momma’s beau,
Robert Johnson. You are truly an inspiration and a unique musician amongst many shredders and guitar “ owners “.
Now I’m happy.
In case anyone out there doesnt know, you can actually grill corn on the cob inside the husk. The corn will steam and take on the flavor of the toasting husk, I highly recommend it
I for one never suffer from ur iPhone videos. I actually dig it because it don’t get more real, especially in todays mindset
