- i wanted some jeans, so i made some jeans. i think that if you, too, want some jeans, you could make some for yourself!!

Have you tried to sew jeans? Would you ever try? 🧐
I tried once in high school, they were horrible. I forgot to cut out the fabric on the correct seam ( the fabric I got had a certain 'correct direction' and I cut out my pieces the opposite direction) and so they didn't fit at all. Though I do want to try again!
Seems like a challenging project, but I like your perspective of taking it slowly, focusing on the details and enjoying the process 👍☺️ That gives me confidence to try it out! Question though: Where do you get your rivet kit from?
I made some high waisted jean shorts recently (albeit crappily) and this is making me want to make a full pair of jeans now! :3

I would love an actual step by step on how to create custom jeans bc i have no idea but i do have a sewing machine...lol tysm looks like a lot of work.

I wandered over here after seeing the knit top on ye old instagram in case ya made a video about it, but I did admire how stinkin' cute these jeans were - I just so happened to save this pattern for when I'm feeling saucy enough to give it a try. It's great to see this process and how you handled the mishaps :) It's a really beautiful result!

I love how helpful this video is! I'm getting mentally prepared to try and take on the Helene jeans project, do you have any tips on where to look for thrifted denim? Trying to make doing multiple toiles more cost effective haha

These turned out great! I've been seeing this pattern a lot on Instagram. How do the knee reinforcements feel when wearing? I've never had jeans with double layer denim on the legs before.
Sorry for my VERY late response but I find them very comfy to wear! The only place I feel them is kinda near the crotch so I’d probably move the start of my double front down next time!
