Short Takes: 2001 Ford F-150 Super Crew Lariat (Start Up, Engine, Tour)

- In continuation of my "Short Takes" video series at All City Auto, I give a tour of a 2001 Ford F-150 Lariat. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this truck designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I love these trucks. I was always a Chevy guy but after totaling my last silverado I wanted to give ford a try and ran across an 01 lariat supercrew for a good price. I love the way it rides and the height compared to the silverado. My Chevy was a 99 and those trucks sat so low from the factory it was just stupid. Also with some pipes that 5.4 makes it sound like you're driving a mustang. So far I'm liking this ford better than my Chevys. My silverado was a good truck, my Z71 stayed in the shop

i am a chevy guy love chevy.i have to admit this ford 150 has a nice sound and the truck is nice love the chrome wheels.and i love way way of the in depth tour or the tour its divrint.
i drive one of these in white with the 5.4 liter, it need more power sometimes but all in all great truck

@igeekone illegal in certain places. Don't know about North Carolina, but in my state, MO, you can have any color Strobe lights as long as they're not blue, and they can be placed anywhere.

I have a. 2001 Ford F-150 4X4 Kingranch Crew cab. It also has a matching camper shell. It is a white one and so is the shell. It is the short bed one. It's bad when my 2002 GMC Envoy has more cargo room than my truck does. My wife used it to go get a bookshelf in, cause it would not fit in my truck.

i have a 1999 ford f150 extended cab with a 4.6 liter V8 with 230,000 miles on it. its about time to replace the engine in it. i really want to get a 5.4 liter! that thing sounds so sweet in those trucks. probably wont happen cause i wont have that kinda money. haha.
its the tenth generation; i believe i watched one of his videos that did have a king ranch i think.
***** Idk if im right but I think that is a 2002 ford f150 super crew. Now I may be wrong but my family has an '02 super crew and I think that might be an' 02. Like I said I might be wrong cause I can't really tell a difference besides the seat cause ours is fabric not leather. I've never seen an '01 but I think the tail lights are a little smaller, unlike the' 02. The '02 has huge tail lights. I'm not trying to be mean or correct you in any way, if u think i do I'm sorry, but it looks like a 2002 to me. Btw, I watch ALOT of ur videos and I think u do a really good job at details on cars. :)

May I suggest an ugrade of the AC condensation drip with the part F3LY-6A614-A. To prevent water from getting under the passager side.

My lariat has 343 k miles and I wish it was as nice of interior. The driver seat is from the base model of that year ( mines a 2001 basically like that one but no bed cover and it has a bull guard on the front) and the passenger seat is the original but it is torn up. The back sheet tho is like new, it never got sat in much and it had a set cover on it at all times

I was Chevy guy too but I got me 01 lariat crew cab n like they say is higher then the Chevy n the ride is real smooth n so easy to get around on 4x4 so I like it

I bought mine for 4100 but it had some paint damage and a few bumps. Drives smooth though.
