During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I remember my dad taking me to the Ford dealership back in 2002. I was a Senior and about to graduate. He bought me the truck as a graduation gift. I seriously could not believe it! I love the Ford Lightning :)))

You should review a 1st gen Lightning if you can find one
Fun fact: SVT was working on a 3rd gen F150 Lightning, but they found that they were unable to top the performance the 2nd gen had to offer, so they scrapped the project. As a result, the badass offroad machine known as the RAPTOR, was brought into existence.
Then the 2014 exclusive fx4 tremor was added.

I remember when this video was first uploaded it made me remember my dads 04 lighting. That truck was straight badass. I always loved the boost gauge and the side exhaust. Sadly he had to sell it in 2010 :( still an awesome truck 15 years later

Man my dad when he sold his car back in 2004 after he bought it for the house I live in he teared up and ever since I’ve been looking for a cheap one to buy and restore for him because they have gotten so expensive and my dad bought his for 8k back in the day from a buddy of his...back in the day he wanted one because of fast and furious

These trucks are extremely fun. I've been around a few since they've come out. People need to look past the perceived drawbacks to the idea.
The SVT Lightning is a cool truck! Based on what Ford is expected to show at the Detroit Auto Show, I see a new SVT Lightning as well as a new Raptor in the future! (:
While I love the 83-88 Rangers and you reviewed one. I've always wondered if you could do a newer one. Hell you can use my 2011 if you want...last year for the Ranger in the U.S.

I miss that damn truck so much! One reason Ford built this truck is probably (uh, I said "probably") due to people complaining that the F-150 of this generation (which I like) was "too pretty to be a truck". So it seemed to make sense to turn an otherwise workaholic truck like the F-150 of this design (though not the first Lightning) into a tire melting muscle truck; and voila! The Lightning!

American pickup's V8 THAT sound :D One time I saw a 2014 F-150 6.2 l V8 (probably imported) near where I live in France but I couldn't hear it, but I went in Denver that summer and I saw some tuned pickup trucks and that was awesome :)
I always liked the lightning and think it's a great-looking truck. That is, except for the horrid "ricey" Altezza-style tail lights. What was Ford thinking?

Bad ass Sports Truck. Better than the SRT10 Ram and defiantly better than the SS pickups.
