Perfect timing! I was just checking out the shrub section on your website. I've got decisions to make! Looking at the Illumanti Spice. I've never had a mock orange before. But definitely need deer resistance plants.
Great information. So many of these I would like to consider. Would you please do a you tube on the best plants for hummingbirds and also one on plants for damp locations in clay. Thank you
The neat ball is the exact thing I'm needing for a circle bed bordering our well. I'm new to gardening and I'm a little apprehensive due to worries about blight. I need to research this one to see if it has improved resistance. I am going to incorporate the mock orange as well
Thanks Heidi, looks like I'll be losing a bit more lawn to fit a few of these in my yard. Especially the deer resistant varieties. When is garden center opening this spring?

You question in on time. I just did a video yesterday on Hummingbirds.
Wow, that weigela is absolutely beautiful. I do have a question about it. What is it's fall color?
I have not seen it in the fall yet, I am guessing it may get a but more bronze.
Thank you. Maybe i'm going to see it later in the tria gardens or in one of you're late season videos. @@gardencrossings

When should I start to feed my hydrangeas in mid Michigan? I’ve heard they are heavy feeders.
It will depend on what kind of Hydrangea you have.
Do you use a weed mat in your garden? I notice there are no weeds in your garden or do you just use mulch?
We do not use weed mat. We do use mulch to help keep the weeds at bay.
