David didn't have to justify himself to anyone - he is a pure talent as well as being a smart person. The beauty can be blinding to some.
So soft spoken. The way David would tilt his head and his sweet laugh. I may be 58 but looking at this and listening to David when he was 22, sends me flying back to 1971. He was truly one of a kind in talent, appearance and maturity. He just made my life fun.
why can't we stay young forever, why must we get old and die, what a curse.

Loved him during the PF run but I did not really follow his musical career. I don't ever recall hearing his music on radio or of any tours. But, I have always had a lot of affection for him. I do agree about his life. He deserved much better than he got. I do think he was well loved by his friends and family. The UK appreciated him more than the US generally speaking. Talented musician. Should still be here.
He seemed like a nice quiet guy. Not egotistical. Down to earth.

This is exactly who I've known David Cassidy to be all of his life by way of interviews, books, magazines.. He is a humble, kind, simple, genuine soul. Yes he's always been "an old square' with a precious young face.. He is genuine , not one to follow fads or be anything phony, he is unpretentious, and till this day, not one unkind word against anyone is ever uttered from his lips even to those that have offend him, he laughs it off, always taking the higher road before him. This is why he's been my idol, my hero for all of my life. It's been 45 years, of adoring you. . Thank you David, for being you, for giving me something, someone to believe in. You're forever loved

OMG, he was so gorgeous!
Since David died, I have heard a few interviewers say less than complimentary things about him but when you watch this, when he was a young man of 22, he was articulate, polite, and modest - utterly charming. He did feel trapped by his Keith Partridge image, and at 13 and totally in love with him, I was clearly in love with that image too... as were most of his teeny fans, but we always loved him even when he was slightly peevish about things. He was a very talented young man and he had a lot of problems and I don't think he should be rubbished by anyone.
Feel incredibly sad that this beautiful talented man has gone,he wanted to be remembered as someone who bought love and light into people's lives,I believe he did that for millions of people RIP my sweet gorgeous David

He was like Elvis, Beatles or Michael Jackson with girls in early 70s...I am a 52 year old male and cannot remember anyone in my lifetime who caused such a hysteria with teen and college girls... I think the incredible fame took a big toll on him and he drank way too much in response...seemed like a decent guy who had a very good voice and could act, just like his beautiful step mom Shirley and dad Jack Cassidy ...
When you watch this video of David Cassidy just think he did not know what life had in store for him then.
Becoming the worlds number one megastar, Three marriages, Two children, and sell out concerts all over Britain and the world.
Then of course the downside of his life. He was SO underrated.
What a GREAT, GREAT guy with a superb limitless talent.

This was the year my sister died. Our bedroom was 3/4 covered with David Cassidy posters and 1/4 with J5 posters. She loved him. This brings back such memories. Man, was he beautiful.

A very authentic individual. He had his share of troubles later in life, and then faced a struggle with dementia; however, this is the way the world should remember him - sweet and sincere.
His hair, nose, lips so beautiful plus his soft spoken voice on this interview was so pleasing to listen to. I cannot compare his very good looks with the current celebs as nowadays cosmetic surgeries, face and body enhancement are everywhere.

RIP David, you suffer no more. Certainly an end of an era. I was a child of the 1970's when David was in his heyday, just like the Donny Osmond and the Bay city Rollers. The death of David truly marks the end of the best times.
David was my first true crush. I had a bedroom door length poster of him and was certain I was going to marry him.

He had a BRILLIANT singing and speaking voice.
Also of course he was a great actor.

What can I say that everybody hasn't already said. I cant tell you this.... His death shook me to the core. Its been 3 months and I still find myself crying watching certain videos, interviews. So I tell myself not to listen or watch him for a few days. Only to find myself the next day listening to his beautiful voice or looking at that handsome face. For awhile I couldnt figure out why his death affected me so much. Than I figured it out.... A great piece of my teenage years died with him. I will never get those years back, Im getting older and life is just not the same as those care free beautiful years and David Cassidy being a big part of that. Posters, his records his show. Teenage crushes are so overwhelming. I had a big one on him. He will be so missed by so many of us. Life as we know it has changed forever with his passing. I know he was not happy the last couple of years on this earth, it shows on his few last interviews. I so hope he has found peace. Sleep with the angels David Bruce Cassidy. April 12, 1950 - Nov. 21 2017. ❤❤ I will always remember you, and keep you close to my heart. Such a beautiful soul.

David Cassidy's inner and outer beauty plus his aggregated talents were simply intoxicating -- that was his drug of allure and attraction -- gender fluid and omnipotent was DC's influence from the 1970's onward. Exceptional and every person, who wanted love, respect and decency from the entertainment industry whose profits exploded as DC's image become wildly exploited, with his talents minimized -- he had to fight that perception throughout his almost 50 year tenure in show biz. RIP♡
So soft spoken. A real part of my childhood. His concert in Tampa 71' would be the last time I was out with my Mother. Sick, she managed to take myself and my friend Sharon to see him that night. David, if you read this, she thought you could really dance and sing. Thanks for a wonderful time.

As a teen, I remember being totally beside myself with excitement about seeing him in concert. Today, now that he has passed, I'm feeling the loss with genuine sadness and I'm not the only one. This is the kind of effect David had on his fans, even now. He was so special...
