Citadel is HUGE in ME1. Take your time and enjoy it
Whenever a squadmate goes "huh" or "hmm", it means they have dialogue about the location or object you are near. You can talk to them in different locations and they have one or two lines about certain things. Like the krogan statue for example. I personally just took them everywhere to hear all the dialogue, but you guys don't have to if you'd prefer.
Some of the NPCs you've interacted with are related to side quests you'll get later on, which is why a lot of them don't have any real dialogue. But as you get further on in the game, more things will unlock.
Lots of exploring in this episode, and you guys learned a lot about different things in the world (or universe, I guess). I'm glad for your playstyle because this is one of those games (along with the sequels) where it truly makes your experience better.
Really loving this playthrough so far!
This may be the most thorough and efficient first-time exploration of the Citadel I've seen!
Nearly everyone gets lost (several times!) and more than a few eventually give up and resort to the Rapid Transit in order to get around. Finding your own way to places on foot certainly pays dividends, though. You get a much better feel for the Citadel that way, and a much better appreciation of how it all fits together.
Take a shot each time you guys laugh at "buoy" 😂 That was contagious.
Also, I love the Elcors too, they're so precious! Love the way they talk haha

What an awesome episode :) The Citadel is massive and there's definitely a lot to see. Visiting this place for the first time always gives the "woah!" effect. And you met Garrus, yay! Also glad you guys figured out Renegade vs Paragon stuff :D

I forgot to comment on the first episode but this is my favourite game series of all time!!! I watched you play The Wolf Among Us and have seen a couple of other games so far and am really enjoying the vibes of the channel. I really really hope you enjoy Mass Effect :)

A great exploratory episode! Ah, the joys of exploring the Citadel for the first time. The world-building at the Citadel (as well as the info about the Citadel itself) is great, it's a lot of info and it can be a bit overwhelming, but seems like it's getting easier to digest for you both now!
Also, in case you accidentally choose the same dialogue again or have to hear the same lines again, you can press Square to skip those dialogues.
You can also hold down X to sprint, so it should make getting around easier for you!
Can't wait for the next episode! We're still only just getting started, can't wait to hear your thoughts as we progress. Loving this playthrough, and we appreciate you being thorough!
PS: Loved the little jokes and comments you guys made on the NPCs around the Citadel 😂
Unfortunately the great Commander Shepard can only sprint for like 3 seconds max before tiring out lol.
Whaaaaat!? There's a sprint function!? Sorry to episodes 3 & 4 Eric & Sarah, but we'll run it back for episode 5!

I have played this game many times. But this is the first time I ever knew you could actually walk on the grass.
Watched causse ME:LE is my fave game of all time (great way to cheat, 3-in-1), staying because of the Codex reading. Hope you find the lore interesting going forward, right now it's all contextless gibberish but by ME2 a lot becomes second nature :)
2:25 Well more the plot of Battlestar Galactica. The humans created a race of AI robots called Cyclons who end up driving the humans of their colonies and into a fleet of ships to escape the murderous AI.
Usually I'm not that much into space games but with you guys this seems very fun :))

I will say that upgrading your charm & intimidate skills early in the game will help you out A LOT, for certain missions & people you meet they have pretty good items or ways to finish their missions with the best outcomes only by charming or scaring them into it.
Wow! You are good gamers! I've played the game several times but never realized you could get that much useful info from the start. The fun of watching someone play ME is the difference in the Shepard they create. But how can two people play? Hmmmm.....the galaxy will never be the same.....
The AMOUNT of lore in ME is insane. Good on you on keeping up on it, but it got overwhelming for me.
Don't worry, I still read it as ETA cluster most of the time after a few plays lol

Oh yeah, to run faster it's hold X . In cilvilan areas its kinda faster, but in combat shooting, shephard runs super fast LOL. im not sure if yall already learned that in patron videos since you guys are farther there.
