Wait... Arrival was a stealth mission? I got that Admiral Hacket wanted to avoid a war with the batarians with the reapers closing in but there was no punishment for killing the batarian guards. The only thing that makes that mission hard is the lack of squadmates and Kenson being the WORST partner possible, indoctrinated or not.
@Urubu_de_terno during the part to find Kenson, as long as you don't fire your gun (first Varren the exception), use your powers (yes, even Tactical Cloak), and take the alternate routes, you can get all the way to Kenson without a fight. After that though, it goes back to normal gameplay

I remember getting through ME1 on Insanity with little difficulty, and then getting killed again and again after landing at Freedom’s Progress. The Illusive Man really spent all of that time and money just to hear Shepard got folded by a robot someone got at space Walmart.
That out-of-ammo situation in Kasumi's loyalty mission is exactly why no amount of lore will ever make thermal clips make sense. Why would ANYONE willingly give up INFINITE AMMO just for faster reload? Ain't no way the people of the galaxy would agree to this.
I always thought that if you run out of ammo the gun should be able to revert back to a cool down system instead of just not working. It already has a ton of smart systems, that little chnage would make thermal clips make so much more sense
This is one reason why my next playthrough will have mods! Over 1500 hours in vanilla legendary edition so I think I’ve earned that.
It's even funnier in ME3 when we have two great ARs with infinite ammo in the form of the M7 and the Particle beam, the first one from the first contact war and the second from 50 thousand years ago.
@OutrightRegent4 It should always have a cool down system and if you reach the overheat threshold you can eject and swap the thermal clip yo skip the cooldown.
All of Mass Effect 2 is noncanonical with Mass Effect 1.
The story doesn't even make sense given the events of Mass Effect 1.
It is like the two games were written by two different writers and the second writer's only knowledge of Mass Effect 1 is the promotional material.

You should do the Jacob Taylor challenge run. Be unreasonably trustworthy in Jacob and follow everything he says:
-Don't recruit Thane (Jacob doesn't like assassins)
-Don't recruit Legion (Jacob's suggestion of throwing him out the airlock is so dumb not even the game acknowledges it)
-Immediately do his loyalty mission to get it out of the way
-Immediately go to the Reaper IFF once it's available instead of teambuilding
-And at last, let Jacob hack the door in the Suicide Mission for the end he deserves
Take Jacob seriously, and he trashes your timeline before getting himself unalived. His ONLY contribution is recommending that we upgrade the Normandy’s armor.

I like how youtube recommends Mass effect play throughs as if this is just another one of those. This is way more than that. It's like an episodic comedy of three presidents hanging out together. That also survived a zombie apocalypse after surviving the reaper invasion.

Nah he has the archangel mission and god is that one unfair on squishies. Jacks is actually pretty easy but in mordins the rocket vorcha regen faster than most low level powers can deal with especially with their armor burst. The multiple krogan in grunt and the basement section of garrus are wild hard if your shield isnt working
Ain't no way, I played up to the Collector's Ship with the same class and ended up tapping out near the second half cause I kept getting skill checked. Joe is going to get folded something bad if he has to play any of the Collector missions
@@ThelastofNazarickas an engineer I had to cheese the basement segments with the Black Hole cannon. It may not deal damage to armored targets but FOR SOME REASON it staggers even the Krogans. The opening section of the garage was fucking hell on earth with that many armored Varren and Vorcha everywhere and constantly respawning tho. I took Mordin with me and left Zaeed with Garrus to give me more time, and I barely made it.

I can already see what will happen: Don and Obama will work together to kill Jack and get with Miranda (likely by siding with Miranda in the argument thus losing Jack's loyalty and then making her do the biotic barrier at the end) then Joe will get his revenge by breaking up with Miranda in 3 which will get her killed by Kai Leng.
@@sheridanmovieguyJack doesn't actually die by being chosen for the barrier, even when unloyal. She just gets one of your crewmates killed... soo yeah killing Jack need to be done somewhere else in the suicide mission.
@@undercover5048 Yeah I just remembered that. I guess they could send her as the second fire team leader? Or send her back with the crew members since a crewmate will die if they're disloyal there. Second fire team leader is about the only time I can think of her getting an actual death scene though.
