- The Minecraft Survival Guide continues! Today, to celebrate episode 350, I've converted the Survival Guide world into a Minecraft RTX world on Bedrock Edition! We tour some of the landmarks of the world including my base, the SNAHG Ski Resort and Custom Mountains, and the Museum.
The tutorial portion of the video will show you how to convert your Minecraft Java Edition worlds into Bedrock worlds, and enable RTX so you can try this for yourself!

The snowy mountain i think was the best part. I've grown up around a lot of snow and it's easily the most realistically rendered part. I can almost feel the cold of the shaded parts and the heat of the sun in the light. Really took my breath away.

It was actually possible to get that block in vanilla survival (bedrock edition) at one point. My cobblestone farm used to produce tons of those blocks. It's probably still possible, though i've switched to java edition because appart from performance it's much more "polished" and predictable.
I was making a behaviour pack with custom blocks and stuff and even though I had provided the textures, they showed this texture. I dunno why but eh.

@@theseeker6936 Last time i've used a cobblestone farm in bedrock edition was when the "world of color" update just came out, so they had plenty of time to fix it.
The item's name was "tile.movingblock" or something like that, and i think when you placed it it would consume the item and do nothing. It was pretty cool though.
I think it meant i was somehow mining the blocks while they were moving.

Sounds more like a opinion then a fact. But ok.
As someone with a 2080 ti, often blocks that aren't in the centre of my screen just don't load any of their textures, so having a large render distance or going exploring is really blurry and a genuinely worse looking experience than with RTX off. However, when you're in a confined space like a cave or a tavern, it looks amazing.

@Pixlriffs Oh my God! I didn't think the crystal cave could look any better, but RTX really delivered. You definitely need to do more crystal builds like that! Maybe make the drawf village inside/under 1 of those newly-generated mountains, and maybe have the caves be the mines where they get their magic crystals.
I hope he converts the world again when the museum is complete because MAN that will look cool in RTX

That weird block mixing is pretty common on bedrock edition
The null blocks never have occurred for me those are from the conversion software he used

That's kind of weird. I've just seen all your RTX vids and even if I liked the way it looks, i find it generally too dark. But in this world, maybe because it's the one I know and I love, it looks so much better. It's not dark just for the sake of it. Lights are vibrant and each different light source is different and bring something to the world. I don't think I would like to have the survival guide always in RTX, but this world tour was amazing!

One day I went to my creative testing world on bedrock after the 1.16 update and the same thing happened. EVERY SINGLE block in my world looked like that dirt block with the word “update” written on all of them.

Hay dude I re watched your episode when you did the trees in the museum and you missed some trees
Some trees actually age
Spruce, jungle and oak can have rotting variants (which is when thay are covered in vines)
Spruce,Burch and oak can have a fallen variants (witch is where thay are just a log sometimes with a mushroom on it)

The rotting/fallen variants don't generate on Java Edition, they're a Bedrock Edition thing. Same with snow falling on leaves and turning them white - it's a cool effect, but it doesn't happen on Java

Pixlriffs may be ok with Mendelssohn being a shepherd on a different world... but I bet he wouldn't react the same on the original Java world.

It was very nice, congrats, but, you forgot to give the nether tour.
I didn't convert the Nether, and to be honest, the Nether in this world isn't much to look at. The Nether Hub is still incomplete, most of the stuff I've built in the Nether is just farms which wouldn't work the same in Bedrock Edition. Not really worth it for what I wanted to do in this tour.

I really really wish I have this kind of PC. Even a normal texture pack makes my experience in playing minecraft really bad.
You really should play the survival guide with shaders in the main world
BSL shaders, Chocapic 13, Sildurs Vibrant and SEUS are recommended, please at least try them off camera or view pics of them.
+ The texture you use to reduce the glow of enchanted stuff actually makes it more distracting, I'm used to the normal glow but the non vanilla texture throws me off everytime
I use shaders for cinematic and time lapse segments of my UA-cam videos all the time. Mostly the latest version of Sildur's Vibrant, but sometimes Triliton's Arcane Shaders (which look better in the Nether and the End IMO).
I have no interest in using shaders for regular vanilla gameplay - the whole idea behind Survival Guide is that it looks like the default version of Minecraft, so people can follow the tutorial elements more easily, and it looks like the same game everyone else can play.
@@Pixlriffs ooh, ok. I don't really watch the survival guide because I was not a viewer back when you started it, so now I don't have any context for the stuff you do in it, but I watch the skyblock and RTX series :)
If you haven't seen BSL shaders yet, just watch a video on it, it's beautiful and subtle, non distracting and also it suits your skyblock series (in my mind), but this is just my opinion 😁
