You could put the Stone Shore biome in place of the Cold Ocean one! Is like a beach but completely made of stone formations, only generates when there is mountains next to the ocean. I feel it really fits since the taller biomes will be nearby ^^
For the river biome at 25:36 you should cap one of the sugar canes at 2 blocks tall by putting a piece of string above it. I think it would look more natural.
@@baruch4 You can't display 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 mob even if you're not counting Education Edition, what about the killer bunny, or the wither? Hey Pix, I've a wonderful Idea!!! When you're finally done with the Building and Layouts of the Museum, Do a Tour Of the Museum with like you did for your 100th Episode of the Survival Guide with PythonMC!!! And I'd be real happy if you invite Python as well for the Tour!!! :) Have a Nice Day! ;)
30:30 you could include chunk borders. The ones that generate when converting though different world generations. maybe with alpha trees, the ones with different leafs. could be a nice throwback to earlier world generations and how the changes affected the early maps.
To make the ocean exhibits more interesting you could separate them with glass walls and have an area where people can walk under the main pathway to get a good view of what makes the oceans different. Also I'm glad you are back and I hope you had a good break.
this looks amazing! for ideas for the cold ocean, is it worth including a deep ocean crevasse with magma blocks at the bottom? or maybe some sort of structure in it like a few ocean monument blocks or a drowned hut (although it doesn't look like you are going for structures and want to keep it 'natural'). But yeah I think some magma blocks at the bottom would be cool
What do you think about a backstory for the museum, Pixlriffs? Maybe an ancient warrior collected all of these blocks from across the overworld, nether, and end. You could include secret rooms and entrances below/inside the museum that only he/she knows of, and that players can discover when this is a download-able world. These rooms could contain treasures, dangers, traps, etc.
absolutely love these!! also since you asked for ideas, -> end realm biome can be included in a separate area of its own -> not a biome but you can showcase a ravine with all the ores, lava, water and a bit of a mineshaft peeking out in one of the areas that you have left.... its not a separate biome but since ravines are common and unique i feel you can include them somewhere :) Great work Pix! 😀
I think you should lower the partition for the beach and sea biomes to the water level. Maybe add some glass panes as a partition on top of the stripped logs. Don't forget that you can occasionally find fossils in Deserts and Swamps. Thank you for this amazing content!
Suggestion: if u want different grass and water color, u can make a nether portal to all these biomes with the nether exhibit, this might help in structure exhibit as well. 😊😊
Hi pixelriffs. Love the content. I think for the beach and ocean. It would be nice if you took out the boundaries between those 2 and maybe even the rest of the oceans, making it look like and show that those biomes really are like together in the real Minecraft world. P.S add the small mushrooms to the swamp if you haven’t. 🙂
Hey Pix, Maybe instead of cold ocean, you can have the snowy beach biome to continue the ocean theme between beach-ocean-snowy beach. Just a suggestion.
instead of the cold ocean, which as you said isn't all that different from the regular ocean, you could do the deep ocean. Which while very similar but would do a nice progression from the shoreline and get deeper as you go "further" from shore. In the deep section, you could put an underwater ravine with the magma blocks and things of that nature. And while I know you want to keep the biomes focused on the actual blocks I think some fish and/or squid in the ocean variants would help add variety, color, and motion to the plots.
Really well done! My only suggestions is that the swap trees should probably be made to look like the ones that generate in swamps and the savanna should have a hill as they nearly always spawn with one.
I would love if the Ocean biomes would be above the surface, in a glass cage, and you would look at them from one side not from above, kinda like an aquarium, as if you are submerged in the ocean and looking from the ocean floor! That way you could add a lot more details and make the normal ocean and the cool ocean stand out from each other! Or maybe instead of rising the glass cage to the surface, there could be a staircase that guides the visitor down to see the ocean biomes from the other side of a glass wall, like a real aquarium, that way the visitor gets the feeling of going below the surface to really see the oceans! I don't know, I just really like aquariums and interactive museums xD
This is a really good suggestion, the only thing is I feel it would be too blocky and get in the way of the other biomes. What could be a good idea is he keeps the elevation the same, but then breaks the blocks surrounding the ocean, replaces them with clear glass and then digs like a walkway down and around the exhibits so you can walk down there. There would just be some stairs at the end of that path going down, it would wrap around and then it could come back up to the other side where there would be more of the other biomes.
I love the idea of using glass in the beach to ocean parts of the exhibit. I feel that it would separate them into their own tanks, but would also show that these biomes tend to blend together. You maintain the containment while also staying true to the biome blending that would otherwise, be there naturally. I hope this helped you consider your decision going forward, and I cannot wait to see the finalized product!
Idea for the ocean biomes: they should be one large tank exhibit that you can walk thru. Leave the beach as is and then extend glass tunnels over the walkways, and then create each individual ocean partitioned by glass, but still visible. So you can look up and see water, fish, coral, etc, but don’t have to look down to see the ocean floor, except the deep ocean sink that into the ground and create the illusion that the ocean is getting deeper and doesn’t end.
Hey Pixlriffs!! Just a suggestion - you could lead an untamed wolf in the forest segment and a fox for the taiga and maybe a sheep or a cow for the acacia!!! I think it adds to the information! Love your vids!
Keeping the stripped oak partition and popping water or glass underneath would be a good way to present them as separate exhibits while showing that the natural biomes connect to each other
Hey Pixl ! I suggest you to have a whole row of types of ocean biomes . Starting from the beach and leading into other types of oceans.(example: warmer oceans near the coast and leading into other colder and deeper ones. ) Note: This is only a suggestion
I'm interested in seeing how you're going to mob proof all these biome slices without compromising their looks. With how creative you are I'm sure it's going to be interesting.
Hi Pixl. To differentiate ocean from its cold variant you can try playing with the water color by either adding lights to the bottom of the regular ocean or a blue glass layer submerged in the cold ocean. Something among those lines. Not that you have to, tho. I'd just have regular ocean representing both cold and deep variants as well.
Honestly, i think arranging the biomes from Hottest to Coldest with transition biomes next to each other would have been the best approach. The ‘Main Entrance’ to the room being in the center so you start with plains and can either walk left to one temp extreme or right to the other. Having unrelated/drastically different ‘temperature’ biomes right next to each other looks really jarring and out of place
Just wanna say you that... (sorry for the big notes) 1) lava ponds are randomly generated in plains and desert often, so that could be nice 2) having a lightblue glass or something else and then building the ocean biome could be so nice EDIT:- like rising the whole ocean biome up and seeing the ocean biome while walking through and not going close and looking down
If you put the ocean biomes in the center, it could give a more panoramic view of the surrounding biomes, drawing your eye to the more aesthetically appealing displays.
This looks so cool! I'd like to suggest when you build the next row of biomes, that you swap where you put the sunflower plains and the ice spikes. Could be cool to contrast the eroded badlands and the ice spikes with each other.
I would take out the partition between the beach and the ocean (below water level, keep the oak above). I think it would be nice to replace the dirt walls on the other sides of the ocean with glass and dig out the area currently "cold ocean" to make stairs down to a viewing room to look into into the underwater sections. This could also extend to a room under the mushroom island to view the warm ocean (or maybe swap mushroom and warm ocean?). Loving this museum project.
On the cold ocean, maybe you could instead do a deep ocean and add an ocean ravine, with the magma blocks and the underwater ores. Otherwise, maybe gravel mountains, but they're not very different from regular mountains. My favourite so far is the river diorama. I think glass would work between the beach and ocean dioramas.
What about you do a little parts that show the grass colours (like use wool or something for the different colours) as a substitute for the cold ocean. Like divide the plot and do different colours to show the grass types.
*And here you see, the wild Pixlriffs in his natural habitat, hurried burrowing a nest for the night as the predators that come out to hunt in the dark can be rather troublesome*
You could maybe include Frozen Ocean instead of Cold Ocean or Deep Ocean. Enough variation to count as a different biome I'd think. Thank you for all the hard you put into the good quality content you make!
The museum is coming along nicely. Also every thin about making your world available for download. Wait just realized, you probably won't be able to get it on PE XD
Instead of Cold Ocean, maybe try simulating one of the ocean canyons? I know they aren't a biome specifically, but they have sort of a unique look that would fit well inside a five-wide space, and are found in deep oceans pretty frequently.
You can make a secret vault and you can make a secret entrance by: putting a shulker box down - so that when you open it the lid goes upwards, breaking the blocks under it - idealy more than 2 blocks, and then placing a block 2 blocks above the shulker box. You could turn the cold ocean into a deep ocean and then add an underwater ravine. The addition of magma blocks might make it unique enough.
