It is possible some of us are hearing the wavelengths cell towers are emitting. I am almost desperate enough to move to rural South Carolina USA. Since I moved to this NC home I can 1) see the local cell tower which is 2) right next to a small airport (in the USA 5G overlaps wavelengths used for small planes landing in bad weather FAA messed up on allowing that). So that narrows down the culprits for which wavelength I might be affected by. It also explains why Tinnitus is a modern issue.

One solution could be to carry earplugs with you for situations where the noise levels are too high. This way, you can protect your ears and help manage your tinnitus triggers more effectively.
Thanks a lot for the video, that's helpful information! After the completion of the sound therapy, do people normally stop using their hearing aids or sound machines altogether, or does their use need to be continued, just on a lower volume level? Also, after the sound therapy period, can you then again be in complete silence without hearing the tinnitus? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for your comment! Some people continue using their hearing aids or sound machines. While some individuals can be in complete silence without hearing tinnitus after sound therapy, this isn't the case for everyone. It varies from person to person.

It wasn’t until I accepted my slight hearing loss of my right ear probably due to my jaw joint putting pressure on my ear area, so I’m not done assessing it, and have been cleared from all other possibilities through mri, bloodwork and ultrasound, but I accepted the ringing is just I’m hearing my blood and or my brain firing off signals due to the slight hearing loss, but as I accepted what it was and said eh whatever… now it doesn’t bother me nearly as much. Dr great information...but when I have a background music...loud sound...my tinnitus get worst...especially shopping centre etc...pls enlighten me thanks 🙏
One solution could be to carry earplugs with you for situations where the noise levels are too high. This way, you can protect your ears and help manage your tinnitus triggers more effectively.
Well I do it too but how to speak with people when your protect is in your ears??? You can not
Thanks a lot for the video, that's helpful information!

My tinnitus often stops now that I know it’s related to my insulin/sugars. When I go low carb it stops in a few days and when I suddenly eat high carb then go low carb it stops. My blood sugars are normal but when I induce hypoglycaemia by suddenly eating carbs it always stops for a few days.
We're glad to hear that you have more control over your tinnitus. Some people do notice dietary triggers with their tinnitus. Check out this blog article to learn more about the relationship between nutrition and tinnitus: treblehealth.com/nutrition-and-tinnitus/

Hi Dr Ben, do you know of any specialists here in the UK? I have tinnitus in both ears, different tones of electrical type buzzing. I had one hearing test which was fine and am still waiting for a further test.( 8mths on). What is that test likely to establish, if I may ask? Many thanks for your informative videos.....they keep me sane!

Hi treble can we make a
Device for a particural tinitus patient that acts as a noise cancellation divice for that person's tinnitus sound
There is a particular device, Signia, that uses notch therapy to essentially cancel out the same frequency as the tinnitus. It is not the recommended sound therapy for tinnitus patients as the outcomes are not as positive as using traditional sound therapy (nature sounds, white noise etc).
I have one ear tinnitus and its horrendous
same here, have it in my left ear…what caused yours?

Has anyone tried Hypnotherapy?
Yes. It helped a little during the sessions. But return to the normal high-pitched screaming when I wasn't in sessions.
Hi Ben. Would you mind if you could give me the name and model of the sound machine and where I can purchase it
I lived in Toronto Canada and I subscribed to treble health email.
Thank you
Ahmad khan
Hi Ahmad, thank you for reaching out! The sound machine we use is the Sound Oasis Sound Machine BST-80-20.
My audiologists programs white noise into my hearing aides. It is on whenever i use my hearing aides. It does not eliminate tinnitus completely but makes it much more tolerable.
CBD gummies help me and hearing aid.

Does speaking continuously spike tinnitus
Speaking continuously should not exacerbate tinnitus. You may also be experiencing hyperacusis, or sound sensitivity, that is contributing to volume increases. We would be happy to discuss further. Please use this link to schedule a complimentary telehealth consultation: treble.health/consultation
Does common. Cold mukas spike tinnitus
We've got an article just for you on how the common cold can affect tinnitus. Check it out here: treblehealth.com/why-is-tinnitus-worse-when-sick/ Hope it helps clear things up for you!
What is the root cause of ur T dr. Ben?
Loud noise exposure
It wasn’t until I accepted my slight hearing loss of my right ear probably due to my jaw joint putting pressure on my ear area, so I’m not done assessing it, and have been cleared from all other possibilities through mri, bloodwork and ultrasound, but I accepted the ringing is just I’m hearing my blood and or my brain firing off signals due to the slight hearing loss, but as I accepted what it was and said eh whatever… now it doesn’t bother me nearly as much.
Mind over matter and fear/stress makes everything worse.
We're pleased to learn that you have accepted and adapted to your tinnitus. Stress and fear can indeed intensify our perception of it, and it's wonderful that you've discovered various coping strategies to navigate it. Wishing you ongoing support and tranquility on your journey with tinnitus.
