“She’s alright, she’s not as pretty as my other exes.” Gloriously savage 😂
The best vid you've ever done, mate. And that I'm a lawyer with the exact same watch and with sincere empathy for what you went through has nothing to do with it. The depth of your character was in every single moment. Enjoy the Omega with much health, brother.
Was it a gift from a long legged Italian girlfriend ? 😁
One of my all-time favourite videos of yours, and now I want the watch also, on my grail list, but I was after the new seamster 300m professional, but you've changed my mind for this one. I've watched this vid a few times, and I love it more every time I watch it, thank you for your great work. Regards Gary
This isn’t a watch channel. No, it’s a drama series and I’m totally hooked! What a great story with a beautiful ending. Hell, I even learned a new word, “indecorous!” That ex of yours was totally indecorous! Bravo!
This Omega is the one and only "luxury" watch that I own. So glad your story came full circle. What a wonderful act of kindness. All the best and enjoy your newly reacquired timepiece.
There’s quite a few of everything here. The lovely watch photography with the unmatched backdrops, seeing Venice through the eyes of someone living there, and our favorite youtuber sharing some personal stuff. Love it!
Right on time - I just purchased the Omega Seamaster 300m on the blue rubber strap and I absolutely love the watch, the brand and the fact that I could buy it without any fuss and at a bloody good price vs the retail price - long live OMEGA!
Yeah, lost some stuff as well-- however, I have discovered that living well is indeed the best revenge (I think you have got that down)
Blue dial or grey? I just got the grey dial a few months ago and pretty much stopped wearing my Pelagos haha
@@rhino202 blue dial on a blue strap. I’ll make a video in the coming days about it. I love it
@@GonzoJamie will be looking out for the video
@ Jamie Opulence did you get a discount from an Omega dealer?
We appreciate your set of skills mr O’Malley, enjoyed the story behind the watch too. Big thanks to mark indeed for creating a new chapter in gifting you a timeless piece of history..👍
Love, love, love that watch - I have both the automatic and the quartz versions (also have a 2254.50 black dial and the 2264.50 quartz version of that as well - you could say I'm obsessed with the design). Great episode.
The 2254.50 is my grail!! Really hoping they bring the design back one day.
New grail. Thank you so much Oisin. Incredibly this has killed all my Rolex grails. Can't explain it but this is something else
Well, it’s official. Oisin can tell a girlfriend-from-hell story and still make it interesting and worth watching to the end. Slainte
To be fair, most girlfriend from hell stories are interesting (as long as the relationship is over). And, I think most of us have at least one or two stories to tell.
Wow, thats what defines a man his behaviour not his watch! Hats off to you Mark. This is the very best watch video I have seen on youtube in a very long time along with a great story. Many thanks.
Another stunning piece. Quietly so.
And a deeply kind gesture by Mark.
Escaping from a heartless woman enables one to gift oneself the priceless joy of living. Enjoy!
This dropped at an amazing time. End of work, pouring a glass of wine, and bout to listen to stories. So nice to wind down this way
“I will find your dial, and I will milli it.” I don’t know why I laughed so hard at that…
I don’t know how you do it, we are blessed to have you creating this amazing content Oisin. This has it all. Tragic tale of a broken relationship, awful injustice and loss. Set in the midst of a beautiful Italian city, with the hero of the hour, Mark, to save the the day and reunite the wounded party with the gorgeous star of the show, that truly beautiful watch, the Omega Seamaster, all accompanied with a stunning soundtrack and the best cinematography anywhere. Bravo Oisin, bravo 👏 👏👏
What a cool gesture from Mark. I assume she'll watch this at some point and I had to chuckle at that thought.
A timeless Omega - great watch!
Woah, if I understood this correctly that sounds like an incredible story. Glad all's well now.
@@PocketUau Yeah - Hell of a story.
I’ve had the quartz version of this since new and it still stands up as one of my best looking watches. Fantastic watch
Without a doubt the best watch channel on UA-cam. The visuals, the music , the voice and the the story’s. Awesome stuff.
What a lovely gesture from mark at the fine watch club. Top man.
What a heartwarming video! It is so lovely to know that there are still people out there that remember kindness. Well done Mark. Enjoy your watch Oisin. xx
Bravo Oisin, quite simply breathtaking. So refreshing to see the variety in watch brands. Cinematography, combined with the music is stunning. Keep up the great work Mr O’Malley!
That's a lovely watch, glad Mark has restored the ballance from a bunny boiler ex.
Another masterpiece Oisin, just lovely. Nice shot of the “electric” blue boat covers and the watch.
Absolutely adore this piece. I gifted it to my son for his 18th birthday recently, his 1st fine watch and somehow might love it more than me. It’s the watch that got me into this hobby.
Yes! Another outstanding video with “ story time “ as a bonus. Beautiful. Thank you!
It’s just blooming marvellous when a decent human being does something simple, and extraordinarily kind.
Lifts your spirits; lifts our spirits. Outstanding. Kindness is often mistaken for softness . It couldn’t be further from the case.
Top man. Let’s hope that we can all do something similar at some point this year. What a wonderful world.
I love to watch two guys help each other out so smoothly and with such synchronicity. Like a soft summer breeze. Perfect music. Glad you got your watch back.
@Will Harris Pretty sure I knew that but thanks for watching my 6.
Her lawyer's wearing the first one.😂
As soon as you said “I figured time went by, probably okay to reach out and say hey”…I was like…nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo (slow motion with arms waving). I stopped everything else I was doing while listening to you today. Wonderful surprise that beautiful SM must have been! Enjoy
This one, which I bought 20 yrs ago right before the wedding, is still my best everyday watch. The look of electric blue dial under the sunlight is beyond description.
Absolutely outstanding sir. The highs, the lows and the timepiece. What did me was the wee tribute at the finish. I was in bits FFS!
More power to your elbow brother.
Every day at 2:30pm I make a cup of coffee at work, shut my door, lay on my office couch and watch a TWC video…. This was one of the best. Great outro. Closed my eyes and listens to the beautiful violin which was tied up in a big bow by mark saying all the best w that phenomenal lume shot….. I recently sold my brietling superocean to fund my speedmaster racing master chronometer and I miss the lume… now I think I’m going to have to get myself to one of these 225580s to make up for it. Keep up the good work my friend
It’s no better breaking up here in the USA.I came home to find all my stuff gone except my Cowboy hat’s that were thrown on the bed.Her knowing that is really really bad luck to a Rodeo Cowboy. I had to throw them away and she knew I would .No vengeance like a pissed off ex.In the end I got a fresh start and I mean everything except what I wearing fresh. Thank goodness your pal fixed you up on the Omega 👍🏼👌
A timeless video for a timeless watch from someone we never met but has the ability to make as feel like we know him from a looooong time ago.
I came to watch the review on the seamster that everyone is talking about. I stayed to hear your story about your relationship and your healing process. I was also in a relationship similar to what you were in. My process of healing involved me diving deeply into music and my guitar specifically. At the time I didn't really own anything of value aside from vintage les paul. That of course came with me as I left and never went back. Luckily we weren't married as that would have made it even more complicated. As a fan of your channel I just really appreciate you sharing this with us. I am now an even bigger fan of your channel than I was before and love this channel even more. Thank you again for sharing
Feel for you man! Wonderful episode again. Definately watches were more elegant 20 years ago which is perhaps why most of my small collection originated from that time. Your story and the Hippocampus resonates deeply my friend. Lost loves are strange creatures indeed!
Great video. This generation Seamasters is the best 👍
Symmetry that was not lost on me, the homecoming of another “Seamaster” of sorts, our epic friend and Mediterranean traveler, Odysseus. A brilliant gesture Mr. Mark...Bravo!!
Your musical gear and watches, holy crap, Oisín. That’s a Raw deal. Stay safe. ☘️
The cinematography and commentary makes watching your videos like watching a documentary. I could listen to you talk for hours. Fantastic work Oisin!
I like this video so much that I kept coming back to watch it again and again. You're a great story teller sir!
Just started the video, but the Meditation from Thais has already earned it my thumbs up.
Wonderful watch and gesture from Mark. It's so inspiring when someone can be that generous and it means so much to the recipient. I owned one of these for a short time in the mid-2000's. Unfortunately, it was a time in my life when I couldn't hold on to "valuable" watches as money was not there to own many without selling to fund others.
Hello Oisin - after recently discovering your channel and watching a few of your videos I was fascinated by this Seamaster 2255.80 and liked it so much that I looked for one. As it turned out, a local vintage watch dealer that I know in my home city of Sydney listed one in excellent condition (rated 9.7 / 10) with box and papers! I bought it today and it is a beautiful piece. Amazing condition for 22 years old. Thank you for the recommendation and I look forward to admiring the electric blue dial within different light. Cheers, Scott.
I will be buying this watch at some point! Birth year watch for me as well. I’m drooling over this thing.
I really enjoyed this long story. Fun to have this compelling real life story related to the watch you were featuring. Great video.
Appreciate you sharing your history with this watch. What a cool gesture from Mark. I'm not an Omega fan, but this watch is an absolute stunner. I love the sword hands, seconds hand, vs the skeletonized hands and lollipop seconds now. The tapered case, and even caseback are more elegant here. The milled dial is amazing, it looks like the sea. Even this wart I could deal with.
Oh my goodness that was incredible. Thank you to the both of you!
The touch at the end with Mark’s words, accompanied by the final notes of the violin, even the timing of that last blackout screen…I’m by no means in any position to judge but to me, that was ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY BEAUTIFULLY done, so much to the degree I felt I would be irresponsible if I didn’t take the time to write all this down, if that makes any sense.
Can’t begin to explain to my gf beside me why I’m tearing up watching a watch channel… Bravo Sir!!
Amazing watch, solid and elegant. The more you look at that piece, the more you fall in love with it. Amazing story, a gesture of a true Gentleman. Congratulations on getting it back.
Thank you for sharing a difficult story. Wonderful humanity of Mark to try to ease the memories or consequences of that unfortunate experience.
Gotta say... you do an EXELLENT job with your videos and reviews! Very much enjoy the banter but most importantly the ambiance you lend to a luxury timepiece appreciation. Thank you and hope you keep it up. Love Venice.
This was incredible. Intro music was beautiful!
Anyone know what it is?
@@kenfresno4583 It’s Massenet’s Meditation from Thais. I think.
Whenever I see a Seamaster from now on, you and your story are going to be the first thing on my mind. Great video, sorry for what you went through Oisin but congrats on finding out what great friends you have. And getting back that beautiful watch. - Han
I LOVE this video. I am in the hunt for a really nice condition 2255.80. I love the way you showed the waves at the beginning and the waves of the dial right after! Crazy good. Great channel, thank you for the content. All the best to you.
The extreme macro shots... next video will be at the molecular level... and I will watch that video more than once too
Sounds like Mark is one of a kind. I will definitely be buying from him once my bank account recovers from the double Panerai purchase - which I totally blame you for ;)
This is such a heartfelt story you told and to loose something that has sentimental value isn’t particularly pleasant, given the turmoil you were subjected to after the relationship had broken down. Give credit, where credits due, to the owner of a fine Watch Club, what a gent. I’m glad to see you have been reunited.
Oisin, you opened up here mate. Us folk, the watch community you must truely have an appreciation and understanding for to do so.
What a beautiful gesture as I feel this watch gifted to you will be of greater meaning than perhaps one purchased to replace what you lost.
I’m Italian Australian tough lot we can be, I here ya. Good and bad in everyone though.
Another beautiful vid mate.
Amazing video, every watch has its story. Some more than others. To you, survivor and to Mark!
You are the best reviewer as of now!
I’ve been stalking this watch since this video came out and mine arrives tomorrow. Thank you for the wonderful work.
Absolute stunner. I love that blue dial, very elegant.
Great video! This was my first ever luxury watch. A surprise gift from my wife on our wedding day, so it is a very special watch to me as well…. Keep up the great work Oisin!
Love the backdrop and chat of your videos as much as the watch content.
Oisin my dude your music taste as always is impeccable
Amazing as always. Every video is a story within a story.
Unbelievable story and even better recap. Also, what a kind gesture by the Find Watch Club gentlemen. Amigo, enjoy such a beautiful watch.
Good to see more life on the streets. Great review of life, and the watch. Continued success, fun, and peace.
Your love of this watch is understandable. I have the black Seamaster version (2254.50) and I agree entirely with your thoughts on the way the watch fits your wrist and the clarity of the face and sword hands. Its combination of elegance and tool watch attributes makes it a rare and coveted part of my small watch collection. It was my first quality watch. Your blue faced version is even more special.
I love your content. Keep it up!
I enjoy your videos - Venice, watches, and a rambling, Irish man wandering about telling stories, but knowing when to stop. Perfect stuff.
Great review - nice combination of relaxed, conversational style with attention to the details. Substance and style is not easy. Thanks for bringing your viewers along for the journey,
33:07 very sweet...beautiful video Mr Ocean. This really is a stunning watch. Makes me realise that many modern ones are indeed "cartoony".. I've been considering the dark dial Railmaster as I love the solid case back, the stylish dial and so on....but this is even more elegant and beautiful!
The same gifting procedure happened to me. My watch guy after many many good buinesses once before Christmas called me and when I was there he stood up , took out a watch from the safe and said to me: Merry Christmas Alex and gave me a golden Girard Perregaux. Touchy
Wow. Great life story. Shows that bad things happen, but a good friend can come from it.
Beautiful video. The work you put in to these is amazing. I've been lusting after a 2255.80 for years and this inspired me to finally pick one up. It just arrived this morning and I love it! It supplements my 16 yr old black dial 300M. Please keep the excellent content coming!
Best intro to any watch video EVER !!!!
I can't believe you almost made me shed a tear Mr. O'Malley. Magnificent job putting the story together, excellent way to tie in the emotion of loosing your piece with the empathetic brotherly gesture from Mark to help with the healing process. Much recognition to your daughter fort the videography and editing work, it's exquisite. Thank you Oisín, this edition of the Timeless Watch Channel was Wonderfull. Im the owner of a 2254.50 and now I'm thinking about hunting for one of these.
Thanks Luis. Lydia was not involved on this one but we'll be collaborating again soon.
That is amazing Mark. Now I will be looking at your inventory because you are a champion!
Great to see you back with one of your past loves. Watch.. An amazing gift from a watch site I'll definitely be looking at even more
With the shiny bezel, and dial, its almost seems like it's to the seamaster 300 what the Yachtmaster 40 to the submariner.
Man, I've been jonesing for a video from you! Great stuff! Intro shots were a little choppy and unfinished (if you will) but the outro was spot on, music and all. Im no editor, Im just referencing all of your other vids that brought me here. Thanks for sharing your story. I think we all have one thats similar to this in some form or fashion. Glad to see you came out on top in the end after all! Mark, you are a good man!
After being into watches for a number of years, I had collected a handful of the more affordable entry level stuff, great watches and all, but I wanted to go in deeper, something a bit more serious, so I sold off the majority of my collection, and purchased an Omega reference 2232.80, absolutely through me over the deep end on watches as a hobby, I'll never part with it
I don’t have the words to describe how superlative your videos are so wow! Will have to suffice. Thank you
Thank you for sharing your story. Life eh? It’s wonderful to hear that for every negative energy person there are genuine people like you friend Mark to restore the balance.
Beautiful music at the beginning and end of the video also. Stay strong and say hi to Sirio for me.
It certainly is a gorgeous watch. A perfect centrepiece for this wonderful video. Thank you.
Vow, what a story teller and kudos to kind man that gifted the watch to you
Excellent content aa always. I have always loved the Seamasters from that time.
Good watch story with a happy ending. Hats off to the finewatch chap. Just bought the new one and I love it, the older one looks a bit more comfortable though.
Fantastic story, excellently regaled and what a gesture. You could feel you were bursting with excitement admiring a stunning timepiece. A lost love has been reunited and all ends happily😉⌚
Oisin, this is my favorite video that you've created. A masterpiece!
Mark I can't get over this story. You sir you are the meaning of the word Gentleman. Its a fact that it is better to give than to receive because it comes full circle. I wish the best for you and your business and Im definitely going to make my way to your online store.
I bought a YM (116622) because of your video and I will probably buy one of these because of this video. Such a nice watch with so much appeal and sweet secondary market pricing. These videos just take me to a different place. I love them. Keep up the great work.
That’s great to hear and what a nice way to end a chapter of your life and start a new one. It’s impressive to see how the watch style shifts over time. Polished bezels are definately not a thing you see on current watches but I agree it really is a standout.
Thank you for sharing part of your experience and being vulnerable. I am strong and faithful believer in universal laws. The law of compensation will definitely come into play. I wish all the best on your path. Thank for sharing with us! Venice is beautiful!
Hey Oisin,
Fascinating to hear the back storey to your owning this model watch and also your thoughts on the aesthetics of the original features of the Seamaster 300 model range from 20 years ago.
My 20 year old model 2532.80 shares the same polished steel dial as your watch. I have always loved how this subtle changes the look of the Brosnan era Seamaster.
Love the channel and nice to see that you are an Omega fan as well.
Really loved this video. A personal story behind a watch always makes it so much more interesting. Also a really great watch.
Really appreciate the story. As a professional diver, I'm going to keep striving to one day be able to afford either a Seamaster or Submariner. Really enjoy your videos.
What a great surprise, I’ve expected to see a watch I’ve always loved (and bought and selled three times due to Omegas poor quality control and service) and had the joy to listen to that lessons life learned you.
"She's got some long legs, let's put it that way" Message received crystal clear :))
Beautiful version of the mighty Seamaster…superb video as usual…cheers! 🍷
Yes you are perfectly right . Maybe this is the connection between us watch aficionados . We believe in the characters long lost of being honest with other.
5:55 I am actually flabbergasted with what you’ve said there because without going in to my past too much I have a fair bit of experience of folk in Central and Southern Europe, including a couple of relationships with women there, and they ALL say it’s the British, Irish and Northern Europeans in general who are cold and heartless.
