I appreciate all your hardwork for us to enjoy.. Thank you so much 💓
Gloves aren't necessarily more hygienic. People put them on and think that makes it automatically food safe - and then forget (or don't know that is important) to change or wash them. Without gloves, you can also feel when you need to wash your hands; e.g. you can tell when you've touched something accidentally that might be dirty, which might not be as apparent with gloves on. Not only that, but understanding the texture of doughs is very important in baking, which is harder to feel with gloves. Most bakers I know or follow don't use them, though a few do and I think it all really comes down to just having regular and thorough sanitization either way.
This reminds me, when I worked at McDonald’s, we had a kitchen that was visible. We worked as cooks with no gloves when we handled the cooking area (like cooking the meat), but due to customer complaints, we had to start using gloves. They said they know it’s more hygienic not to, but they have no choice because the customer is always right. Washing hands became scarce.
Unrelated, but people would also switch from handling money to assembling food because there wasn’t enough staff and no time to change gloves. I’d see it all the time. Someone even would eat with the gloves on (people would eat kitchen scraps that would be thrown away when no one is looking) then prepare meals with the same gloves.
NOPE. Hands hold ALOT of dirt. Including the fingernails. If you’re worried about the sterile gloves being more dirty then change brands, and even them just wear gloves and wash with soap and water. There ya go. At least for the sake of thousands watching they should be smart and wear it for the camera lol.
One must change gloves after they touch a new surface. It's tedious so people just don't bother so essentially the gloves aren't protecting anything but their own hands from getting dirty.
Thank you
@@c.w6593 eh no, hand are not dirty nor carry dirt per se. Fingernails are to be washed . so no, using gloves don"t trully end up making the food more higienic.
These look amazing! I love it!
This lady really combined the two ways people say "caramel" into one
Best cookies I’ve tried. Went there last week and i was amazed

Will definitely try
I’d be as big as a bloody house if I worked there!!! 😮
To achieve cookies like this, make sure to heat treat your flour and make the cpokoe dough ball BIG AND VERY VERY ROUND KIND OF SQUARE ON THE EDGES
I just tried to eat my phone.
Seek professional help if this is true.
@@user-zm6pd4kt7b Yeah it was a joke, tough guy.
@@nolanfrank582 oh…..hahahahahahaha
My favorite cookie 🍪
Never been much of a coconut fan, but damn, those really look amazing!
If I could get a box of these and my favorite of all favorite chocolate chocolate chip...that will top my bucket list😋
Imagine... If it was a Caramel/Coconut Crasin(cranberry rasin) cookie... The clouds would part and a beam of light would shine down on said cookie... and all would be right in the world...
Ohhh, one day I wish.
Am I supposed to already know what this place is? 🤷🏻♀️
Good thing levain is in the city, I would spoil myself with these cookies if they were in my town lol
You gotta make a s’mores flavor next! Or a peanut butter one
Was A++.
Wow I thought they said that they. were going to give us the recipe. they just showed us how they did it some of it anyway where is the recipe.😏
Recipe please 😊
Share recipe pls 🙏
This reminds me of a hope cookie. It’s like this macadamia nuts instead of caramel. My only issue with cookies is I dislike chocolate chips in them and I don’t know why because I love chocolate.
Me too, I was hoping to find the recipe
Can you ship to Australia please 🤤
I make the best Maple Walnut Cookie with morsels.
Can you substitute more chocolate/caramel for coconut?
No you can not
Hello tried the recipe ill gust say 👌
So it’s pronounced La ven not la vein?
Is it still open
14 dollars a cookie i bet
Levain cookies are actually affordable ☠️ it’s like 4-7 in between there from what I remember during the 1st time I went to NY. And that was during the early pandemic phase.
Oh man! Do they ship?! 😂
They actually do. Check their website.

Ladies teleport some
SORRY IM NOT EATING COOKIES MADE FROM BARE HANDS AFTER A COVID-19 PANDEMIC. SORRY.
Is that your own batch?? I hope you wear gloves for when you sell those
Would caramel gochujang work?
Do people not know viruses and bacteria die when exposed to heat? Do you think bakers and cooks use gloves? No gloves necessary before oven. After is a different story.
Thous are Hugh ohhh so yummy looking.
Looks like a Red Lobster biscuit what the hell
Cookies look good but not wearing gloves really turned me off.
Gloves are not necessary. Lmao. Washed hands are way better than wearing gloves. Chefs dont wear gloves lmao
Bacteria will die in heat lmao
Am I the only one that was grossed out by the fact she didn’t have gloves on when touching the cookie dough? 🤢
Even if someone washes their hands right before working with the dough, I still don’t feel like that is sanitary 🤷🏻♀️
*Edit* - Just saw a couple other people commented about the same thing
The cooking process kills everything. Get over it or just don't ever decide to travel because not every place wears gloves.
Washed hands is actually more sanitary than gloves
Do you think every chef that cooks your food wear gloves? No.
Fyi, bacteria will die in heat.
I know i'm about to get boom in the comments but I've never been here and I live in New York
look raw to me
Bro I was searching the comments for someone to think the same 💀🤚
Why is McDonald working here?
Yall need gloves
They definitely do. There are too many people in there {I seen another video} with about 3-4 people handling the dough.
The secret is the touch of their hands 😂😂😂 USE GLOVES, pleeeeeaaaasseeeee!!
GLOVES ARE NOT NECESSARILY!! Chefs dont wear gloves!!
didn't show anything
Lol they are using those sweaty hands 🤮
GLOVES?????????????????
eww gross why isnt she using gloves while touching the dough like that??
no gloves is crazy
man crazy af
No gloves is actually more sanitary than wearing them
I don’t live in New York and only visited once so far. I need the recipe, please 👏🏾 please share in my DM…
Nice recipe except I hate the taste and texture of coconut and my daughter is allergic... Also... GLOVES! Do you actually stick your bare hands in what you're making and sell it to people?!....
That’s what’s i wa sgonna say too lol
The last part
Can u see a chef wearing a glove? Lol.washing hands are better than wearing gloves. DO YOUR EFFIN RESEARCH
@KristianaMichaelaVillarete I'm gonna say this AGAIN for the rude asses in the back which I see includes you... I ONCE WORKED IN FOOD SERVICE! I know the rules and regulations. You are not supposed to touch food you plan on serving to the public with your bare effing hands! I'd be upset and grossed out seeing any chef touching my food with their bare hands. Do you boo boo and eat however you like and whatever you like. I'm not gonna.
Gloves?
They 4got..unless when itsv3rd world
THANK YOU! That was all I kept thinking about...
@@soulsisterwillisIt gets cooked regardless, and using gloves is sometimes worse. Hate comments like this, if they were fresh cookies going out, and she was touching them all that’s a different situation.
@pblyellow1655 Whether you hate the comment or not isn't the issue. I used to work in food service and rule number one is that you don't handle food with your bare hands. It's unsanitary. Raw or cooked doesn't matter. If an inspector walked in and saw them handling the cookie dough with their bare hands they'd have issues. Plenty of people are put off by seeing people do that not just me....
@@soulsisterwillis if the food is a RTE (ready-to-eat) you should put on gloves when handling the food item (raw fruits or vegetables that will not be cooked or meat that is already cooked and won't be cooked anymore)
when to wear gloves
• making salads
• making a friut platter
• platting food
when to not wear gloves
• cooking
• handling raw meat
• cleaning and sanitzing
Look too healthy for me!
Hygiene left
I don’t care how clean their hands are USE GLOVES PLEASE
Disgusting. 🤮 Get some gloves. I own a storefront as well. Chocolate and confectionery items and there is NO excuse for putting uncovered hands directly into raw batter.
Can u see a chef wearing gloves while preparing your food? Lmao. Washing hands are way better than wearing gloves. Do your effin research
How come Americans say caramel as car-mel?
Wait Caramel chips??? I want those!:))
Looks amazing, but no gloves? 🧐
8:08 So completely off topic, but is that kid on the right even old enough to legally be working? Not trying to be mean spirited or anything, in fact good for him, but do they hire people fresh out of kindergarten nowadays? 😂
