@@mikethebest991It's a useful mixer with some limitations. It's stereo and passive so it doesn't color the sound at all. It just makes everything quiet so you have to have the volume up near max to get a good range out of it. And you can't drive headphones with it very well. But since it's small and doesn't require power it is perfect for just packing in a bag and taking it with you. Plug it into a pedal like here and the mixer can drive that fine. I plug it into my computer to record "live" or into a Zoom handheld recorder. My workflow is to record a bunch of noodling, then chop it up in something in a DAW or even just Audacity. It's great, I plug my Stylophone GEN X-1, Volcas, TD-3, TT-78, and Microfreak into it as well. I used to use the Little Bear MC5 with my modular synth / eurorack as well. And that mixer works there too, even though synth output is MUCH higher than line level. But I recently moved to using ST Modular Workmate Pix. Another passive mixer but with DJ style EQ for each channel. (Pix is hard to find prebuilt, but Pusherman sells DIY kits if you don't mind a relatively easy soldering project)
I'm feeling quite inspired by this, I have just taken delivery of these two synths, because I have wanted to play with them for years, so I'm now trawling Amazon for a cheap chorus and delay pedal with some patch cables, I might have a trawl through FB market place too. I had the idea of doing my own music for some of the dashcam footage I have of me charging about Wales in by crappy fiat.
@@ElectroMagnetic_AmbientMusic The another time was yesterday, apart from the AC which I will fix when the electric windows stop working. I'm really impreste with the Monotrons even though I have never owned a synth before.
Oh and on any standard clip you can use anything to hold the note down, be it a card, a wadded paper, or a stick, even a chord will do although probably not recommended!!
Agreed, I wore mine out through continual use, before I mounted it in a solid enclosure, with bigger jacks. Do they still make them? Or is it NTS all the way now?
This is so freakin awesome! I am just diving into the materia and got some questions. Is the Zoom MS-70 CDR connected into an Audio Interface, what are the cables on the left side of the MS-70? Sorry for those stupid questions, but i am a total beginner!
Muy grande chiabal 👍👍👍This would be super cool setup for someone telling spooky stories at a campfire or for someone doing ghost or paranormal videos on youtube.
Just discovered your channel and subscribed halfway through this video. Presentation is great. I also love the simplicity of making really striking sounds with hardly any equipment. Really inspiring stuff! Thank you!
Very cool! Love the hair clip idea. Do you think the NTS-1 would work in place of the Delay (or even both Monotrons, if set up correctly)? This is something must explore! Thank you.
yes of course you could use the NTS-1 instead of the Delay in this setup, but the result would quite different since the 2 machines have a very different sound and attitude. It would be interesting to explore though.
Please can you share how you connect the output of the pedal to the audio interface? Do you use two separate 1/8 cables going into two separata channels on the audio interface? Or a Y cable? Appreciated!
Thanks for the feedback! I've never used the mixer with headphones honestly, but I think the volume is more than enough if the connected devices have a good level. cheers!
I assume that the output cables running out of the MultiStomp are going into a computer or studio speaker(s). Would this also work with the output cables fed into a guitar amp? thanks
Yes It would, but the pedal output can work in stereo and I assume the guitar amp has just a mono input, so you have to give up stereo, but it would work.

What what kind of mixer is that!?!? It doesn't even need to be plugged in? I kinda get it as my splitter doesn't have to be plugged in, unless I want to switch between the things plugged in.
Hardware electronic music requires a huge amount of gear to do. This set up is super minimal All it is is 2 sources of audio, an effects processor, and a way to get the audio from the sources to the effects. That is honestly about as minimal as you are going to get when doing electronic music.
Guilty! 😝 Anyway it's possible to make interesting stuff even with just the monotrons alone. But it comes out more as noise/experimental, or maybe just more raw.
I have all of this gear, yet I've never done anything even a fraction as good. Thanks for the inspiration!
You are welcome 😁
How is the mixer? im interested in getting one.

Hi hi.. beautiful video..great idea . Can you please tell me the brand of passive mixer u used? Thank u so much.
Hi, it's called Little bear of I recall correctly
I bought it on AliExpress and it arrived yesterday! It's the MC5 mixer (One Little Bear) from Douk Audio/Nobsound.

Hi. Yes exactly, there are two separate mono jack cables that go from the pedal into two inputs of the audio interface.
Thanks for sharing. What is the passive mixer that you were using? It looks very useful. Good Improv!
Later today I'll release a new video where I explain all the details about this setup!
Try NTS1 which has effects build in.
