Lawful good: returns cart to inside store
Neutral good: leaves cart in parking lot but makes sure it's not blocking a space
Chaotic good: gives cart to someone just arriving
Lawful neutral: puts cart in that little corral in parking lot
True neutral: leaves cart wherever he finishes with it
Chaotic neutral: shoves cart in random direction and walks away
Lawful evil: puts cart in corral backwards so that it wastes space and makes the guy's job harder
Neutral evil: puts cart so that it blocks someone from pulling out or getting his door open

I got neutral evil, and a lot of things of the description fits, but I do return the shopping carts, and i occasionally find myself hating the people who don't, unfortunately the majority.

Neutral good: Always tries to do the right thing but also understand life is morally grey.
Chaotic good: Troublemakers with hearts of gold.

True neutral: I don't care 1 way or another, but I may help 1 side more than the other.

It's unfortunate that FlashBamg skipped over this, I think they can take some constructive criticism from this. When I use AI, I use it to help me learn how to do things instead of having it do something for me. AI is a great tool, bit it should be for working with people instead of for people imo. But, if they didn't use AI to make the video, then I guess this point doesn't matter in this context. It's still important to say this anyways.

Being "lawful" isn't restriction what's actually in the law, but based on the character's principles. It's usually used to align with _the_ law, but it's not necessary. Being "Good" or "Evil" depends solely on the character's intentions. It's why you don't call a lion eating a person to be evil.
It's also why you could have lawful good villains. People wanting to do good but have to do heinous things to do so. So long as they hold onto their established principles.
The last paragraph is just one of the many possible approaches to Lawful Evil.
Good and Evil are not about intentions, but actions taken. One could have the best intentions on the world, but that wouldn't ever make his misdeeds any less bad.
For instance, technically speaking, even Thanos would be Lawful Good by your metric and we all know how little sense it'd make to define him as such.
@@lorenzocassaro3054 I'm not sure where the confusion comes from. It's a morality alignment, not consequence alignment. You can only judge a character's morality based on their intentions. And the latter paragraph cannot be used for Lawful Evil because in order to be evil, you have to know better and still do evil things by definition.
And yes, MCU Thanos is both Lawful Good and a Dumbass Braindead. Same with Injustice Superman. 🤷♂️ They did bad things, but both are still Lawful Good, technically.

@@martinnawalto5569 When you want to play a _neutral_ character, it's far easier to think of it as a spectrum, closer to its original function. Having a *_code_* you want to abide by already makes you lawful-aligned. Following it pushes you further. Breaking it makes you more chaotic-aligned. Find a careful balance of the two if you want a true-neutral character without making them wishy-washy.
You see a sign at the park that says “keep off the grass.” If you are an evil character, you are gonna walk on the grass.
Lawful evil: Throw the sign away and walk on the grass. “Sign? I didn’t see a sign.”
Neutral evil: Ignore the sign completely and walk on the grass anyways. “The sign is not the boss of me.”
Chaotic evil: use a flamethrower to burn all the grass down to ash. “Can’t walk on the grass if there’s no grass left.”
I'm pretty sure the Chaotic Evil guy would make sure to step in every single blade of grass, and only then use the flamethrower
My cleric/monk of Fire started out Lawful Good and got so dissillusioned by the church that he turned Chaotic Good - bringing the poor back from the dead - when no one else cared.

I am:
Lawful Neutral because I strictly follow my promises, never break the conditions of deals, interested in order when it comes to work, follow the rules I create for others (if I do)
Chaotic Neutral because I hate obeying, I avoid pointless restrictions, don't follow rules I don't agree with myself.
Though True Neutral's description kinda doesn't fit me.
This just sounds like Neutral Good to me lol
Lawful does NOT necessarily mean following the Law but rather following a strict set of rules

I am chaotic good because I don’t believe that laws and societal norms dictate what is right or wrong. I follow what I believe to be moral regardless of whether it conflicts with the law or societal expectations. People should follow what is right even if it doesn’t align with the law or what society as a whole believes to be moral. People also shouldn’t blindly follow rules or societal norms just because it’s what they’re used to. The law and societal norms are not absolute rules on how to live your life. They should be questioned and challenged by people to make sure that they actually make sense. And if they don’t hold up or make sense then they should be abolished.

I think that Robocop is more lawful good than lawful neutral.
Despite the fact that he’s literally programmed to uphold the law, he has in some stories found ways to rebel against what was technically legal when he knew that it violated the spirit of the law and was morally wrong. Not surprising when he lives in a world where an amoral mega corporation owns the police.
If I were an alignment, I'd fluctuate between neutral good on my best days, chaotic neutral at my worst, and chaotic good on average

IRL I’m usually neutral or chaotic good but in video games my favorite alignment to play is lawful evil.
That is the beauty of video games where you can have an outlet to live a phantasy and take a break from reality!
I would say that Neutral and Chaotic Evil have many of the same goals and motivations, but what separates them is that NE is capable of delayed gratification and that sometimes you need to do something annoying for a bigger payoff later. Basically, a modicum of self restraint and control.
Easiest way to understand the moral compass is question of killing
Good - no, I won't, it's bad!
Neutral - well, I could, but do I need to?
Evil - yeah, I'm fine with it *kills
Lawful - ok, I kill, I go to jail
Neutral - ok, I kill, but I could try to evade punishment
Chaotic - ok, I kill, so what? I don't care if it's illegal here.
Tom Bombadil was actually probably around Lawful good and Chaotic good, since he saved the 4 hobbits from the barrow-wights (in the books, not the movies)

I'd argue Spiderman is closer to Chaotic Good than Neutral Good. He's a vigilante, and most of what he does doesn't abide by the law.

He doesn't destroy property (intentionally), he doesn't straight-up murc|er a bad-guy, or take a corrupted person hostage in the name of good. That would be chaotic, I think.
Spider-Man's meant, I think, to be a rep of the common man, and I think Neutral Good fits the common man/woman most.
I'm struggling to find where i would fit in the most, but i guess it's between chaotic good, chaotic neutral and true neutral.

The beauty of it is that you don't have to hard associate with one alignment. you can fall in between the spectrums but lean more towards a certain one. Like for example I would be based out of Chaotic good, but have some neutral evil tendancies.
After watching this video, I realized I’m more chaotic good than anything. The worst I would probably be is chaotic neutral.
Now that I understand this allignment system more. This means I'm Lawful Good when I was a kid, then shift to "True Neutral" as an adult.
Most of us tend to balance out as we get older.

I like to imagine that Palpatine treads to Neutral Evil in a way. Vader is evil, but he also genuinely believes in law/order/code, he was the one offering Luke to join him because he genuinely believed in the benefits of this tyranny, because he cared, and he ended up choosing Luke in the end and betrayed Palpatine, hence Lawful Evil. Palpatine meanwhile is merely pure evil for his own evil ambitions, the reason the Empire exists is because he had violated and desecrated so many past laws and rebuilt it all to benefit his own.
Also while Vader seems to do most of the actual governing as the hand of palpatine by leading the troopers and commanding officers, palpatine just seems to enjoy his position as the emperor by relaxing in his throne room which shows how he only really cares about the personal comfort which his power offers him

This is pretty accurate, but being lawful good doesn’t always mean you adhere to every rule and law. You can be lawful good and adhere to your own moral compass instead of following strict societal rules.
Something that shows the ambiguity of the alignment chart is I’ve seen people label robin hopd as neutral good but also use Batman as an example of chaotic good
Im either a neutral good and a chaotic good. With a little moral code of "as long it doesn't hurt anyone. Mentally, physically or makes his job harder" would just ignore rules as long as ignoring them doesn't give problems to someone

As someone who read the original Spider-Man comic, I can say Spider-Man also fits the "Chaotic Good" category especially in the beginning of his journey where he was somehow rebellious and had his own ideas of what's good, I would say Spider-Man lies in the spectrum of "Neutral Good" and "Chaotic Good"

Lawful doesn’t mean a character has to follow an established Law dictated by a government or society, that’s grossly constrictive. It just means that a character is orderly, consistent and/or plans ahead for the future.
Im pretty sure neutrals and chaotics can still have those traits tho.

@@Blu-ps5rq you saying people can only have one dimension to them? You shouldn’t think so archetypically. Take the Joker for example, some people say he’s the embodiment of chaos, but he is human, and rarely that side of him shows. The Joker personality might be pure chaos, but he isn’t.
You should make decisions based off of who your character is, not what their archetype is. Otherwise, wouldn’t every lawful good character in fiction be the exact same? Besides, Archetype is based off of your actions, it’s not something you’re born and locked into your whole life. You make Evil decisions, you become more Evil. That doesn’t mean you can’t do any Good.

They are generalized in a category just like how genres categorized our favorite books. Alright so Joker is a deeper person that an isekai character but that does not mean that he cannot be described as a person who causes wide spread chaos and destruction for shits and giggles

Ravens in those Games are not simple names, those are Mantles, Symbols of Resolve, Independance, And the Will to Choce you're own Fate, no matter who are you Helping or Harming in your war, but Always for a Greater goal (or simply personal Profit).

Lawful is not adherence to the law, but rather to a law, be it ethical, legalistic, or moral by nature.
Batman is lawful even though he doesn't follow the law of the land. His code is to apprehend criminals, but what he does may not be legal such as his excessive speeding.
Based on my Easydamus test, my alignment is Lawful Good. But relatively close to Neutral good.

Also my compus doesn't fit in anywhere. It's not possible to put people's moral cumpuses in boxes, cus people are more complex than that. And no one always acts in one way.
