Baylon and shin are so interesting characters
Baylan and Shin are the only characters that hold any interest for me. But if I'm being real, it's just Ray Stevenson's delivery of what he's given. Nothing else has been written well enough to pull me, and it's been a slog all the way through.

Your reasoning is very stupid. Just because a show leads to bad movies doesn't mean the show is bad. You should consider the show in its singularity, not criticize it because it is connected (not so much, by the way) to the sequels. If we were to use this logic on all products, even the OT would be a bad product since it leads to sequels. I feel sorry for you who can't appreciate a good show, it must be a bad condition

It reminds me a lot of andor, the first three episodes, just how boring and uninteresting they are.
4 is great, 5 is amazing, and 6 is great too. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
Yeah the first 3 Andor episode were kinda slow and boring and no one understood what the hell was happening. The Difference in the end is that Andor is a meaningful series leading to meaningful stories, while Ahsoka has fun episodes no doubt, but I don't see any genius writing in it at all, nor much meaning to be honest. Episode 6 was the one with the most creativity I'd say since it doesn't revolve so much around member berries, but still nothing genius about it. I think that people regarding Ahsoka can't see the difference between something being quite cool and something being deep and meaningful.
I completely agree although I liked Andor’s first 3 so much better.. Ashoka’s sucked but surprisingly it’s gotten so much better. But if they don’t retcon the “sequel” non cannon imo trilogy, then it means nothing.
Andors first 3 episodes were amazing set up for the series, I was entertained by the quality of the series, level we ve never seen before in sw.
@@Zebrahhh They definitely are better for sure. Served a purpose which we get to understand later in the season, so the slow introduction was worth it.

You don't do yourself nor the fanbase any favors by overpraising it because then you should get used to getting the bare minimum from star wars in general. Demand better instead of settling for something you are paying for anyway.

I really hope to see more of Hydan Christianson. Dude got a bad wrap, but he is Anakin. I'm just about to start EP 6 tonight and looking forward to it, I have to say.
Seeing how much potential this universe has, it saddens me that all Lucasfilm would have to do is add a few well-known motifs and characters to the series and the fans will clap with joy. Casual fans have no expectations anymore these days. They want to get what they know because they don't know that they can get something new, original and ambitious. You can criticize Lucas' prequels for many things, but you can't take away from him that he had a specific vision. He didn't want to repeat the original trilogy, but did something more ambitious in creating the world, characters, politics, etc. The prequels were an original creation, drawing on nothing except George's imagination. And now all I see is Filoni trying to copy Lucas' genius to please the fans, but he will fail because he lacks one most important thing: imagination. When was the last time we had a new ambitious idea for stories, time periods, characters, new aesthetics, ships, planets? Something separate from Lucas? The first thing that comes to my mind is Kotor, which came out about 20 years ago. The sequels had potential but fell into the same trap: No new ideas and ambitions. Andor also opened my eyes to the fact that Star Wars shows can be good for all viewers, not just fans, and Andor was more than good. If the current direction of Star Wars does not change, this fandom will die. Relying on nostalgia won't attract new potential fans. Such an emotional statement ;P
And let me just mention that in Ahsoka I root for the bad guys. Sorry, but Baylan, Shin and now Thrawn seem to be the only characters who use brains in this show and don't have indestructible plot armor. Of course, they are also better and more interestingly written. They are simply more engaging in every way than the rebel crew. :)
The duel choreography for Baylan vs Ahsoka was ASS. The ridiculous jumping and turning without any purpose and the laboured swinging around killed it for me.
This episode gave me hope, but then the show went back to being shit.

I also hope Dave Falini done this on purpose: remember when admaral ball gown destroyed a Dreadnought and a dozen Star Destroyers by hyper driving into them (complete nonsense)? I wonder if/hope that 'that' scene is a middle finger to the movies.

Only 6 was good cuz it add some interesting backstory to the nightsisters the rest just look like fan service and bad writing.
Agreed 6 was definitely the most innovative in comparisson to the other ones. Only thing that kinda doesn't make sense is how Thrawn didn't deal with Ezra or why he didn't since they were stranded for a decade on the same planet.
