For my #50thbirthday, I wanted to do something different, something #challenging
We had done the coastal via ferrata at Cala del Moli in Spain for Jon’s 50th, and loved it. So that was the inspiration.
This was a challenge as I did not do any training in preparation, and I had to dig deep, with the support and encouragement of Jon, we managed to complete the Daubenhorn in 8 hours - Jon probably would have done it in 5.
It nearly ended in a disaster but so glad we made it, safe and sound and live another day to tell the tale.
I want to do it again! But better and faster and if I do I will train for it.
