As a fan of looter-shooter games, I’m watching this thinking about whether or not this will be worth my time and money. Games are expensive, and gamers need you to prove to them that your game is worth your time ESPECIALLY if you’re going to do the same thing that’s been done plenty of times before.

This is what I want Gears of War to evolve into. Take the Gears 5 semi-open world base and inject it with online looter-shooter mechanics. Give me locust dungeons, raids, weapon and gear drops. Let me grind quests with my friends. Give me a reason to keep coming back. I know some people may not like this, but if Gears wants to survive they need to change. Gears 5 was great, but many of us played the campaign and never touched it again.

wanton7 flying was Amazing the gameplay was fun but other than that it was hollow, having vertical exploration instead of typical horizontal open world was such a breath of fresh air, but that’s just due to my own tastes really
Looks pretty tidy and my only real issue is there is little no no hit registration when shooting - the creatures just run, soak a bunch of bullets and fall over. The boss had slightly more more animation when taking damage but it just adds to that bullet sponge feel when you don't think your doing and damage.
I mean if you think about it, in real life it would be loud as hell technically.....guns blazing and super powers with insane aliens attacking you? be all out warfare and loud.

Like if you put it in a real world setting, this would be complete chaos, loud, hectic, crazy and among the super powers plus injuries with people shouting......it would literally be loud as all get out....this is something I do like to replicate with games is to put myself safely in this environment without risk...*as with all gaming experiences" imagine soldiers fighting battles....it's defining and loud and terrifying . That's how it should be and I think people forget that because it's a game.....you gotta put it as it were real. Makes it genuine.

People really nailed it on the head when they said anthem without flying. Rotating abilities inbetween gunfire was the best part of anthem so this does have potential if the content is there.
Well tbf this looks a LOT less bullet spongy than Destiny. The bosses here seem to actually require more thought to beat than just standing there and shooting for 10 minutes.
Great potential. A few things I think would make it solid 1. More emphasis on the animation + more impact on ability hits. 2. Seems like there are little to no stagger in this game even with the mob enemies. Make them a little more frequent. And apparent with a sound effect or visual feedback. 3. Appendages- enemies would have breakable parts of their bodies. Which can affect their speed, aim and damage. Plus each appendage can be looted for crafting material 😊 4 . cover system? The game looks pretty fun already but I think with some of these it can be a great game.
I’ve got to say I do like their system of recovering health by being aggressive. Also what’s up with the sound, cannot hear that epic monster music. Hope each have their own theme too.
Lol ..dude why else would u augment ur build , to ultimately deal more damage. Monster hunter players have been doing the same repetitive loop for ages. Also , from what I saw it seemed the AI was competent and at harder difficulties the attack windows might be small.
theres actually 8 skills for each class but you can only equip 4 at a time / can swap em real quick if you wanna try other skills and theres is a talent like tree with 3 paths and you can choos stuff from any patch to mix and match
It's likely because no two things seems to actually interact. Enemies don't react to attacks, attacks don't interact with the environment, etc. The most you get are canned animations. It's all VERY static. Compare it to something like Monster Hunter World. That game is much more dynamic.

Valheim enemies react to attacks from both other enemies and the player, can deform the environment, and fight amongst themselves. The world itself is significantly more dynamic and shifts often in different ways. Similar to Monster Hunter World actually. So, yeah. You're wrong.
It doesn't really look like Monsters do anything. Boss fights are fun in Monster Hunter because they actually have multiple ways to attack and kill you and you have a slew of options to interact with the monster. Here they kind of just run at you and you move out of the way.

The game itself looks actually pretty fun, especially the gunplay/special abilities part. But the only thing that bothers me so far is Outriders’ world and the scenery in particular. World seems as if it’s “grey,” boring, unappealing and ordinary, in which you have nothing to do and get a visual ecstasy from. Unlike Destiny 2 for example, where the world looks eye-catching and beautiful. In which you wouldn’t mind playing just to see the mind-blowing sceneries, like me. As I’m not a big fan of looter shooters. But D2’s world and characters had my heart.
Feels like Destiny and Anthem hooked up with Monster Hunter World and Bulletstorm. It looks like a lot of fun. Hoping it has Borderlands level of loot variety, or at least an amped up Destiny loot variety. That would be dope.
They need to make the enemy more aggressive and give it a lot more movement and make it that you GOTTA use your abilities to fight back and not just shoot bullets.
The abilities seem like they could use a lot more oomph. For example at 3:24 the rock slam/dash thing needs more impactful sound design, and a momentary dust cloud or something. It feels flat.
I'm lookin' forward to playing this, I loved Bulletstorm and if this is PCF's take on the Remnant formula, IM IN!!! I just hope also like Remnant there's single-offline AND a multi-player modes.

And everytime during the one battle the gun doing the figure skating spin freezes in plays before they can move that needs to be fixed so you can dodge out of there not have to wait for the game to process that you can move again.
