Loving the Technomancer RN. Mixing big fights with a lot of freezing...kiting with the melee short-medium high rps/dps AOE of group mobs and still devastating long range if needs be. Some of those quick change sniper hip-shots when the main runs out are usually boss enders as well.
Rn my combat style is Sniper/LMG with Quick swapping boost. Sniper is modded to freeze and weaken. LMG is Explosion and bleed. Scopeless pop a round, swap LMG Hit apply bleed while explosion staggers anyone around the target. Cryo Turret harrases. Covers all ranges decently but works best at mid range. But when fighting bosses. Drop a Turret to freeze and the Cluster rocket. Then Pop a Minigun gun boosted for armor, leech and and ALL THE AMMO. If the boss is not dead by the time you run out ammo they would usually die after 2 or 3 more cycles (assuming you don't just gun them down)
I’ve played both trickster and techno manger and found that if you are up close and personal with both while having high anomaly power, techno and trickster can combo off of each other. Trickster for soloing seems to be the best. You can build unreal DPS with an auto shotgun, twisted rounds, and a ammo replenishing mod. Throw in some life leech and some damage buffs and you become unstoppable at close range.
Trying out the game and it's amazing, brilliant reminds me of TOO HUMAN. It follows the same menu and how it works. Love this game. Im going with the Technomancer, same the first time played TOO HUMAN.
When I saw that the trickster messed around with space time, I knew what to choose. I always play up close and personal due to my rouge type play style in every shooter I play. Using shotties and melee then jumping back. And the fact I could teleport and fucking za warudo people with my ultimate and melee just allows me to fuck around and I love it.
Such good points in this video with the pyromancer i had such a hard time on my first play through i enjoyed it but definitely not one of the best or easiest classes in the game im just starting my second play through now with the devastater and in my opinion already 2x better lol
Solo Pyro. Definitely has a different ebb and flow with the battle rhythm. Knowing the layout of the battlespace is helpful for solo runs. I'm about 5 hours into the main quest line and I haven't had a whole lot of issues. Definitely some sections that took multiple attempts, but nothing outrageous. LMGs and AR's all day. Feed the Flames is your best friend, your get out of jail card when low health and overwhelmed. Make sure to add the "Additional enemy health drain" mod.
I find it easy enough to be enjoyable, I didn’t know any different and I’ve had auto world tier level up, I’m currently doing solo with pyro on wt6 and halfway through the game, I hardly die or take cover, I choose a rush play style with a shotgun that leaches health and I do fine
I play Pyromancer as a main and I can confirm, it is definitely slow burn. But once you have all abilities unlocked, you can totally wreck. Definitely worth the growing pains.
Team Pyro right here. Edit: I'm doing it solo and it's definitely hard. I've had to do sections like 20+ times. But it makes you feel like a boss once you get through it. lol
It’s a mistake to let the world tier go up automatically while leveling. Switch them down if you get stuck, shooting an enemy for 30 minutes can get a little frustrating. You’re not meant to max out the world tier until end game.

Just started playing, level 4 pyro, little tip I seem to have noticed that helps in a pinch, your melee ability burns them too and gives health regen anyway so when you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed with the abilities just punch someone!! Don’t know how long it’ll be effective for though.
5:51 Am not sure what you mean. It sounds like you're saying the technomancer doesn't do well at close range. ... However am not sure I agree, but I am probably wrong. I only played the demo, and during that time I got four tools. Grenade, turret, rocket turret, and poison bullets. I ended up with poison bullets set to my third available tool slot. I found it very good for dealing with enemies that rushed me. Am gonna buy Outriders when it's on sale and patched. (Peeps are losing all theri gear, so that needs fixing.) Will continue as technomancer.
I personally started with pyro and have been going strong with it, I have decent weapons and armor but like what was said my abilities are my heavy hitters and I have created a combo that has made me near invincible on the battlefield. For those interested make sure you have your starting ability equipped and once it is unlocked use volcanic rounds so you can boost your guns power significantly and use them to heal you since it sets foes on fire finally I use feeding the flames since it is a healing move but you can use whatever works best for you, I typically start by equipping volcanic rounds then hit the enemies with a fire wall then stun one with feed the flames then lay into him with fire bullets. Works very well against bosses and hordes of enemies
Devastator, because my most used playstyle is getting at close range and deal massive damage at once, and also devastator is class that endures most damage and that is also reason why i chose tank classes.

So if anyone wants a good pyro build for solo you can chain inferno ammo by using a feed the flame mod that replenishes ammo on hit per enemy hit, another that allows it to hit 2/3 targets at once, a range increase, and yet another mod to lower armor when hit. Melts almost literally everything at every apoc level assuming you have decent weapons and the pax point tree boosts mag size by 300% so you can eventually re-kit feed the flames into ash blast and have both insane CC and damage. You might die easily but so does everything else.
I'm thinking Trickster for my demo run and Technomancer for my permanent account. Because I'm feeling like I will probably end up getting the full game.

You can easily heal for a descent percentage of the bleed damage you cause with seismic shifter as well as make it so that your attacks all dish out bleed damage so even a small percent heals you alot. The only strategy I have when I fight is to run up to the biggest guy there and punch him a bunch of times (I run a melee build). You don't need to have super powerful guns either. Just have good damage mods that are really easy to find and focus on your earthquake ability. It'll take out small guys so much faster because it hits more of them in one go while having the fastest skill cooldown in his skill set. My health bar rarely ever gets into the yellow because I just heal for so damn much. Any mods you need for the build are all easy to get early game as well. Legendary equipment obviously helps but you can do really well with all epic which is in abundance mid to late game. Even though devastator wasn't that good in the beginning, with his recent buffs, he's extremely good and almost impossible to kill once you have your timing down (everyone plays a little different so just adjust it to your play style as needed)
Quick PSA for anyone wanting to try out devastator.
