#Overclocking #Z590 #Aorus - Наука та технологія
We thank buildzoid for the holy safe button.
Thank you for reminding them to add a basic normal functionality.
that should have on every motherboard ages ago!
dfi la party nf2 ultra B had it. hold INSERT on post with a ps/2 keyboard.
talk about ages ago. :)

19 minute video about a subject answered in the title
Thank you Buildzoid for the informative video
Hope this becomes a more common feature.
Rocking a Z590 Ultra here, super happy with the purchase!
Got the Ultra and build a 11700k. Your ram guide of overclock helped me push gskill listed ram in there list to 4300 with good tight timings..
Love this feature. I have a few old ASUS boards with the original MemOK system, which works basically the same, and it's amazing
My ASRock X79 Fatal1ty Champion has a similar feature baked in by default, it allows you to always get into the BIOS, no matter what settings you change. I can set the CPU to 7 GHz, save, and boot to BIOS again without issues. Very useful.
The MSI Z87 G45 I had also has a really good auto safeboot. Worked 9/10 times and didn't reset your settings. On the other hand, the auto safeboot on any AM4 board I tried NEVER works.
This is so handy! My new Asrock has this button
Will you make video with Z590 + 11900K, with overclocking stuff, thanks?
What do you think about the z590 ud ac? I’d like to see the lower stuff.
very happy to have something like that on my haswell asrock board, doesn't have a button for it tho, gotta wait for it to not post a few times
This feature is on my Gigabyte board 12 years ago I believe. They would remove the on board speaker to make your life harder, no wonder they will remove thid safe mode time to time because for most buyers LED is the biggest feature
Most vendors just add an automatic safe boot and call it a day. Which is _fine_, but in my experience it's nowhere near reliable enough, so a dedicated button is a welcome feature.
auto safeboot works great until it doesn't
is this changing the clear cmos switch to boot in safe mode? i have a z590 aorus master mobo btw.
I wonder how VRM heat sinks have changed or will change with how common AIO's are, must be a huge change to case air flow.
Hey BUILDZOID. Have a little problem. Z590master with 10900k even at stock in prime95 die sense(vr vout) get grayed out in couple mins and do not provide any reading in hwinfo64. What could i do? Is there any other app who reads ISL 69269? Regards BRO
I wish Gigabyte would put POST LEDs on more boards, been chasing a no boot issue with a B550M Gaming and a X570 Aorus Pro Wifi ITX and only when I bought a cheap Asrock B550 Pro 4 with POST LEDs quickly identified the issue (did all the usual troubleshooting ideas) which turned out to be a no RAM situation. (Trident Z Neo RAM which worked when I removed it and had no boot even after swapping with some cheap Patriot RAM I had) Could have saved much time if Gigabyte had POST LEDs on their more expensive boards! An underrated feature every motherboard should have!
Great vid dude , Best button on amy motherboard , I looked through the specs on the new gigabyte boards but no mention of this , i did only check retailers though not the online manuals , i was weighing my options foe a z590 apex or msi ACE or the unifi X when it comes out but now gigabyte are doing it god knows wich one i will choose but deffo getting a 10900kf as its £400 at scan uk
yeah gigabyte only mentioning it in the manual is why I decided to do this video. Cuz I also didn't realize that they had it on anything but the Tach until I read the manuals.
ASUS is still king when it comes to memory OC, and MSI's Unify-X seems to give better results than the GB Tachyon
Say BZ, with all the platform changes up coming, I think you should have a video about if" you had the authority to design the new motherboard architecture, what would they be?'.I'm talking about every aspect of the board . Front to back ,the I/O foot print ,the location of the m.2 slots and the ram ..Wouldn't it be an advantage to have these relocated to the back of the board, out of the way of the CPU? And isolated from all the heat from the GPU & easier access from the backside ?Wouldn't that help de bottleneck lots of issues which are now present in this 40 year old design? I think that with your different talents, and those of Jay ,Linus,Steve, Carey and all the rest of the community.
This moment in time ,reminds me of the 1954 Corvette. 6 cylinder 235 cu / in ,140 ish horsepower, 2 speed powerglide automatic. Until a man wrote GM top brass a letter .That changed the course of the Corvette's path .
I see the same moment in time where there are so many stumbling blocks in this industry that prevents the businesses from being free flowing . It's almost like the corporate world enjoys the struggles of the masses and the side benefits of the profits.
So please think about what I've said and discuss this with all your colleagues.
Thanks again and take care 🙂
my motherboard asus prime b450m does the same thing automatic, if the overclock is unstable and the motherboard doesnt is stable it automatic tells me that is unstable and when i enter the bios still have all my previous settings
Hope you do this RTLs IOLs video soon. This is the only timings, that i feel so uncomfortable to deal with.
so which motherboard beside gigabyte can do the safe boot up reset ?
I am still puzzled. My Maximus VIII Hero does this out-of-the-box on OC errors.
Safeboot Is a godsend, I'd never buy another board without it.
Dose this work on Z590i Aorus ITX?
I wonder if gigabyte will add this to x570/b550 if they ever still gonna make am4 boards
they can't since amd have auto recovery on cpu and motherboard manufacturers have no control on that
@@lewislu8533 aah, so safeboot in asus crosshair boards doesnt work?
I bought a 10850k and now I want to decide with which motherboard should I go, I am on z490 master and z590 ultra. The z590 master is too expensive now so I dont want to go with that.
BZ, hands down best board for APU benching?
APU needs fast memory so > MSI MEG B550 UNIFY-X
depends what kind of benching. The B550 Unify X is the best for memory clock validations but I've done like 66MHz higher FCLK on boards from Gigabyte/Asrock/ASUS.
"save boot" by default would be nice
what CPU cooler are you using?
Linus Tech Tips Homemade CPU Cooler 4000
did u burn the top of the board ? or its some sort of vaseline ? it looks like my burned VRM XD
thermal pad oil
Why is the date set to 2042?
Anyone get the Aorus Z590 Master to work stable with XMP turned on for 3600 speed memory with a i9-11900K? BIOS F8f. Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro CMH32GX4M2D3600C18W I can't! :(
On the maximus boards the reset pins actually change functionality as you change the flex key option in bios
So I've heard.
My Asus Strix Z490-E does that. I just leave it to "reset".
wait. why is it showing u post this coment 2 days ago ? XP
So does my Crosshair VIII Dark Hero.
How you post comment 2 days ago?
BuildZoid is MY bestfriend:)
Dual bios if I can guess before watching the video.
Would you mind checking your twitch dms, i'd like maybe to get a small help from you and would greatly appreciate it.
Awesome videos btw, checked few of yours impressive stuff.
Who cares about socket 1200? I mean honestly! It's kind of staggering how pointless it is when you think about it.
People who love memory overclocking, and nobody else.
10900Ks are still very good CPUs. The fact tha the 11900K is disappointing doesn't change that.
@@ActuallyHardcoreOverclocking But even then, wasn't 10900k just a minor refresh of the 9900k? A slightly improved memory controller, a better TIM, a thinner die to improve thermals, but, just shuffling the deck chairs on the titanic more than doing anything about the iceburg or doing anything to avoid it. I don't remember the exact details. And I'm not saying there was anything wrong with the 10 series Per Se, I'm saying that the socket itself is utterly, staggeringly pointless, a total dead end, I don't know how anyone justified buying a single one, particularly with AMD competition being so attractive, not to mention the utter failure of 11th gen putting, well, not the final nail in the coffin of 1200, but another nail in the coffin of the 1200...
I mean, at this point the selling point of 1200 is what? the 11400f? Buy the $150 available 1200 boards for your "economical" 11400f... that's the "sell" for socket 1200 at this point...
@@abb1793 isn't like a overclocked 10700k better value for gaming than an AMD alternative overclocked?
Gigabyte is overrated and so is Intel's Z590.
