Glen Short hey buddy. How much diff oil goes in excactly. I don't have level ground anywhere here so it makes it impossible to check. Some say 1.5? What amount did you use. Thanks mate.
@UNIT27 I jacked it up today but couldn't work out where the plugs were due to exhausts and it being so tight in there. Now I know tomorrow should be easy thanks mate
Isn’t there a magnet inside the diff that attracts the metal pieces that you need to take the whole cover off and clean that and replace the gasket as well!
Glen Short looks like the diff cover for ve commodores are hard to take off,I think they made it that way,you have to take everything off just to get to take the cover off!
Cheers mate, helped me change the diff oil on my Calais

Are u sure that’s the right weight, coz my VF uses GL-5 75W-85. Probably use a different Diff.
Thats GMH recommended brand and oil weight.
Yeah must use a different diff 👍
Quick look up on Penrite website says Pro Gear 75w-85 GL5
Redline 75W85 is compatible if you can't find or don't want to pay the AC Delco bottle
Hy only 1 bolt have to remove drain oil?? And 1L for vf ..
Thanks for the video, think my 09 ve ss sedan needs the level checked.
Hopefully we its not too different to yours
Glad to here and yes hopefully its the same for you,and easy.🙂👍
