Masquerade Depth 999 Phantom Rod No UI - Phantasy Star Online 2

Hi everyone!
I'm thrilled to share my first video on my channel, and one of my greatest achievements in Phantasy Star Online 2, finally defeating Omega Masquerade at Depth 999! This video is my second clear, as I didn't record my first one fully. To spice things up, I decided to record this one with no UI.
It was a personal goal of mine to complete this quest to "beat" PSO2, and now that Masquerade is coming up soon in New Genesis, I really wanted to defeat it before it arrived there, and that's what I did. It took me about 100 attempts before my first clear. Luckily, my second clear only took 7 attempts. This is arguably the hardest content in PSO2 and I hope this be the case in New Genesis as well. I'd love to have a challenge there!
Masquerade is one of my favorite bosses, although I can see why some people may dislike it, given how he can nullify the damage of a Photon Art/Technique if you use it too much, but for me, that's what makes the boss more interesting, as it forces you to engage it in different ways rather than just use the best Photon Arts/Techniques and spam it until the boss dies. Overall, the hardest part of the fight (for me at least) in depth 999 was Phase 1, just because he have a smaller move set, he tends to use ranged attacks more often, which was the most causes of my fails in this quest. For those who don't know, ANY attack from Masquerade will do about 999,999 damage so you can't take any hit (which fun fact... he deals that damage because of the damage limit that doesn't only apply to you but also Masquerade, which is 999,999 in this quest, so it actually means he deals way more damage but the quest is capping it xP).
I know this wasn't the best clear but give me a break... I already fought him more than 1000 times...
Anyway, I am currently writing a guide on Steam on how to fight Masquerade and the quest mechanics to help any new players that are interested, which I hope it helps, even though I know pretty much almost nobody is interested in base PSO2 nowadays. I will post the link to the guide in here when it's finished.

Masquerade definitely has PTSD. 999 rounds + any fails = trauma for poor Elmir. "Why chief? I just wanted to be friends... - Elmir" :(

Don't worry, me and Masquerade are friends. This was just a friendly duel with 999 rounds :3 and besides he got many hugs now!

Congratulations, Snoice! Crazy how different Endgame PSO2 is to Beginning PSO2...and to NGS itself. So much faster.

@SnoiceNeko Here's hoping Masquerade is at least fun. Angele is from PSO2. I never had the pleasure to fight it there, but the fight and especially its music in NGS made it quite the enjoyable battle.

@@Ethonra Yeah, Angele is pretty fun both in NGS and base PSO2, althought I really wished that Angelo (and Hyunal) still had their voice lines. Nothing better than Falz Angel calling you garbage mid fight! 🥰
