    I started my photography 2nd course on Tuesday. Bracketing was one of the questions. I set the g85 to your recommendation on bracketing. I’m sure she’ll be impressed. Thank you 🙏

    Thank you for your complete review of G85. I bought this camera years ago but not impressed for many things, so I stayed with flagship smartphone. I used to have Canon EOS 1100D for photography and really liked the potrait mode with bokeh from this Canon and I couldn't get thay from G85 (I bought it for video 4K). I'm planning to switch back to Canon for bokeh photo, like Canon 200D, but I ended up in your channel.
    Do you think I can get bokeh photo as good as Canon from G85? If yes, how can I do that or should I just go back to Canon? I still record my video using LG V20 with manual mode (I also have Samsung S20 Ultra & Xiaomi Mi 10) and using G85 for second camera to get two videos at the same time (but not as a main camera).

      Bokeh depends on the lenses, not the camera body. You need lenses with low aperture.

    In exposure bracketing mode the G85 varies both the exposure time and the f-stop. Is there any way to get it to vary only the exposure time so each image has the same depth of field?

    • @ThePaddingtonsChannel
      @ThePaddingtonsChannel 2 роки тому +1

      Just use use it in A or M mode, which has a fixed f-stop number. Then it can only vary the exposure time.

    Hello Hybrid shooter I am a fan a full time student using your channel. Thank you. I'm in a jam. have a very important question. I have somehow landed a gig doing a real estate photo shoot. I won't get into the details, I'll just cut to the chase and ask. How do I have the lumix GH5 do the merging of the 5 bracketed photos I've taken automatically? With out using light room. It's only for the emergency shoot tomorrow. This is my first attempt at using bracketing and I just want to keep it simple for this shoot. Is it possible. Time is running out. Please help and advise. Thank You.

    Is it advisable to use ND-CPL filters when shooting in bracketing mode on a very sunny days?

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  7 років тому +3

      CPL filter may help with unwanted reflections, so using CPL is advisable. You don't need to use ND filter while shooting HDR, because camera is also taking underexposed picture, so the details in highlights are captured without using ND filter.

    • @TheHybridShooter

      Thank you, that is probably because you are shooting in RAW / RAW + JPEG

      It only works with JPEG, in that case you need to take a look at the manual, contradicting settings are explained there.

    Any idea why the single shot setting is grayed out on G85?

  • @nightdonutstudio
    @nightdonutstudio 7 років тому +12

    just single raw is pretty amazing when compared to HDR.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  7 років тому +2

      +Kai Liu It is, the difference between single RAW and HDR depends on the specific scene.

      There is tab Fn button set in custom setting on G85, where you can set different functions on fn buttons.

    How can I shoot HDR timelapses? Do i have to work one photo (series of 7 bracketed photos) at a time. Or is there a way to do this with a series of HDR photo, which will be compiled into a timelapse? thanks ! (p.s. I'm on the GH5)

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  6 років тому +2

      I unfortunately don't know of any way that would let you do that automatically, and I personally can't imagine doing that one shot at the time. Shooting RAW, editing one shot and then synchronizing the settings to all shots in the timelpase is as far as I would personally go with the effort.

    • @ChrisChevs
      @ChrisChevs 6 років тому

      You can get a remote shutter and just keep pressing it every time the camera finishes the 7 shots. Create each hdr image individually in lightroom, then bring those finalized images saved as DNG's from lightroom to Premiere or Resolve. Time consuming but I am going to try it soon. Will make a video on it.

      Thank you. Love your work. Keep doing what your doing. I have one more question. I have the G81 with a Walimex Pro 35mm (FF 70mm) T1.5 because I got in in a great deal (250€). But since I want to shoot documentary I really wanted to have 25mm (FF 50mm). Do you think the Panasonic 25mm F1.7 is good for that? Im concert of the Focus when it doesn't stop.

    Hi , I am have done few times HDR with 7 exposures the same options as in video but I see there is always too much orange and I can't really remove it all it's still present , I don't know where fault is , I have GX80 and 25 mm panasonic 1.7 , my colors are set to neutral in camera

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  6 років тому +1

      Maybe you could try to change the color temperature. Other than that, I don't really know what could be the problem, I have never has such issues.

      The Hybrid Shooter creating HDR is only good for sunshining conditions? I try other dunno if lightroom is good for creating hdr or I am doing something wrong etc. do you have facebook or somwhere where I can show you picture or and my results ? I have flickr account

      Hi , other thing that with GX80 I started into filming and 4K looks great , but also the 1080p on Panasonic cameras , so what to do to lower file size but keep quality at the same level when uploading to the web? is it possible?

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  6 років тому

      It is not possible to make the files smaller without loosing quality. The size mostly depends on the bit rate that you choose when exporting video.
