Sweet! I been wanting a sig p226 only it is too expensive. Now I see this gun and pretty excited to get one.
Not to mention that video where MAC done a torture test between the Sig P226 Legion versus the Rex Zero. A Legion of all 226 models. I no longer will need to get a P226 because the Rex Zero showed ten times the reliability for a fraction of the price and in my opinion, it's way cooler looking.
Arex made a better Sig than Sig did themselves LOL
I have over 1200 rounds of steel cased ammo through mine and no problems, trigger has smoothed out and lightened about a pound.
They make a nickel version that is absolutely gorgeous. Especially when paired with wood grips!
So what were the strikes about, some 5-10 year old video on bump stocks or something arbitrary on UA-cam's part? UA-cam better realize that we're here to watch people that interest us, not what they think is best for us.
No bump stock videos received strikes. The first strike was on AR basic Stock videos and the 2nd Strike was on upgrade accessories for the AR. All are Bogus and we're still fighting the 1st Strike. Thanks James.
sootch00 I know you said your bump stock videos weren't the ones to give you the strikes, but it reminded me of CNN's video on a regular collapsing stock acting like bump stock with the grenade launcher.
I laughed at that video but it also disillusioned me that some UA-cam engineer saw that video and perhaps made a ridiculous connection between the two.

I never was a Sig fanboy probably just because I thought they were nice but not a good value. I bought the Rex Zero 1 two weeks ago and put the Hogue grips on it and it's very nice. I'll probably upgrade the sights soon. It oozes quality. Major Slovenian win!

I'm of the same opinion. With the way the Zero 1 is selling, there will be a lot of after market accessories soon. The Hogue G-10 grips are good to go, but I paid $73 delivered. It'd be nice if there was a $45 option.

I love my Rex! I don’t have to worry about the grip , recoil is soft asf. I wasn’t much of a gun owner, but honestly I’m really glad I took 2nd amendments advice. Its a great gun for beginners , especially because the aim is so accurate and it’s safety .

Arex is compared to basic Sig p226
A) $300 cheaper
B) front slide serrations
C) has a safety AND a decocker
But I still love my sig p226. I might buy one of these rex zero 1's in the compact size. The Rex compact is cooler looking than the sig p229. Then again already have a CZ75D PCR that I like alot too.
Primary firearm for EDC is a Cajun Gun Works modified PCR. I have a couple SIGs (P320 and a Legion). This completely intrigued me and I placed an order for the Zero 1s tonight.

Do you know how to tell if Sootch likes a gun? During the scenes when he's shooting, if he's smiling while shooting, he likes the gun. Watch the shooting scenes here. No smiles! I'm starting to wonder if Sootch actually likes shooting at all. I've seen him review several very nice guns, and I have yet to see him actually smile while firing the gun!
Welcome back Sootch00. I truly love your videos! Love the quality of my ReX for the price. I added the grips from Kvar and it was worth it to add those in my opinion. I also love the decocker/slide stop combo!

There is just so much trigger slack that it isn't comfortable. As far as double action goes, it doesn't even come close to my S&W revolvers. And compared to my 1911's, the trigger is just awful. I prefer the Rex trigger slightly over my XD40(though I prefer the XD40 overall) and the Rex trigger is 10 times better than anything Glock has produced. It's also comfortable to hold. I just find a reason to own the Rex. It isn't as good as an M&P full size, but it's more expensive. I would get an XDM 9mm over the Rex, M&P and Glock any day.
It's prettier than the Bersa TPR 9, the quality is great and the finishing gorgeous, but I have shot both and the Bersa has a much better trigger and better grip. It shoots just as well or better, cost less and is built like a tank.
The Rex 01 kicks out those shells like the peanut guy at the ball game.

I really like the decocker and a safety so it gives you the option to carry cocked and locked 👍. Kinda like the Taurus PT92

Looks like a very nice choice if looking for something similar, yet different, than the 226. Love to see the finegroup out of Vegas handling this pistol. May buy more than one. Compact, full size, FDE etc.!
I have the full size 1S with the black Hogue G10 grips, they make a huge difference! Lots of Holsters starting to become available too like copper custom, alien gear, black arch and Craft leathers

After I added the Hogue grips & the TruGlo tritium night sights it eliminated any short comings it may have had.

I've heard great things about these guns and the price has dropped since this video was made even with elevated prices my local gun shop has them for 475 now

Get where the zero 1t would be pushing $2k. I bought my full size brand new for $620 out the door which is crazy I’ll take 3 of these over a sig any day. The sig has the name recognition and a slightly better trigger. Because I could care less about the ladder I purchased an armory Craft adjustable trigger and spring and it’s now just as good especially as the legion not a big fan of the grips either but I have some on the way it’s strange my gray has a different texture than yours mine are big and spread out and look like the diamond shaped pattern but aren’t aggressive enough for me I’m 100% sure I made the right call. Although similar it’s easier to work on arex as well in my opinion.. and after seeing how state of the art their equipment and testing is they even go above and beyond for QC and build quality to meet mil spec standards using extra hot rounds. They have as good of capability as any other gun maker does just not on that massive of a scale. I bought an array of ammo to test and naturally had my buddy bring his legion to compare and he had a few failures to eject with the cheap crap which is not ideal as a target shooter the Rex chewed them all up and spit them out no issues. Like Glock love them or hate them they just go bang.
This barrel really looks like it has some heft to it. What is the diameter? Almost looks like a bull barrel.
It's a good gun. But unfortunately nothing new. They changed enough features to avoid a lawsuit from sig. If you don't have sig money, then yeah. If you do have sig money, then meh. I traded a p229 for one of these, I want it back.

Bob Newhart my shop near Austin tx was 610 plus 6.25% sales tax. I go there because they get anything in 48 hours and class 3 ffl. Amazing people. Anywhere else I've seen the gun, it is 670 plus 8.25% sales tax.
Had the FDE in compact and didn't like the grip width. It's thicker than P229 and also longer trigger reach. However, the slide width was only 1.05 inches and fit and finish in FDE was amazing. Trigger was stiffer than P229. Selling it as we speak. I recommend this gun for people medium large or large hands.
Vandoeun Long I'm 5' 7 and it's the only gun that perfectly fit my hand... I could of had it wider. Also have a sig p226 legion and liked the width of the rex much better. Only thing I like better about the sig is the sights and trigger.

21KiNgDoM4 polenar Tactical has a disassembly and assembly video showing the removal of the safety, you just need to find a solid pin of the same diameter to replace it with.
I don't like the manual safety either but I could live with it. The firing pin block safety is all that is needed. My Astra A-100 is like a Sig and has no manual safety. Just the internal firing pin block safety that cannot be seen so everyone thinks it has no safety, just a decocker.
It is kind of cool to be able to carry cocked and locked though, you can't do that with the regular sigs

I would buy one if they made one without a safety that's just decocker only. Also I wish they would skeletonize that hammer. The new Nickel plated ones with the wood grips looks amazing.

I just received an Arex that I purchased last week. This is one sweet pistol. Accurate, feels good in my hands, and light recoil. I had the range armored change out the grips and it felt and shot better. We compared it to the P226 they were selling and man, they look like exact copies. I need to get a holster and it may be my # 1 EDC. Thanks for the great review.
Just bought this gun and i absolutely love it.
I just don't like the sights, they're small and low compared to the sig. That's one of the big things that I liked about the sig.
Put one of these in my hand at SHOT SHOW after hitting the Sig Sauer booth. Not even close to the fit and finish of a Sig. Feels slippery in your hand , "grips" feel like cheap plastic. Don't waste your money at $600 I'd spend a few more hundred on a much better quality firearm and guaranteed customer service. Don't believe the Hype!

Hey Sootch. I hope all is well on your end. I just watched this vid on full30 and I only had one question. I doubt it is but I saw a small circle on the side of the hammer and wanted to make sure they didn't pull a beretta and throw some plastic bits on it. Is the hammer plastic? I doubt it is but I figured I'd ask to make sure because I have yet to get my hands in one. You did a great review (as usual). Also would you happen to know when the American made Beretta 92fs started using the plastic parts because I bought a used one that I decided to keep because it was basically new looking. I know the original owner and he wouldn't have gone through or paid someone to switch the plastic bits for steel but all of my parts are steel. I'm not sure if Beretta offers a serial number lookup like colt does but I'm just trying to figure out more about the gun. Sorry it's off-topic but I don't really have another way to contact you. Thanks for the review on a gun I've been eyeing for awhile, and thanks for any help you might be able to give me on my 92fs. Keep up the great work and stay safe.
I own plenty of Glocks and Sigs, et.al.. Some I like, some I love but, it would be nice to have a real choice for 10mm other than a glock 20. This would be a great place for arex to step in and make a 10mm secondary to beat Sig's lackluster p220 in 10mm. An arex type p226 pistol with more capacity and better price would do it.

mine is brand new and the slide jams and is very hard to pull back hope its the spring too strong

It’ll all smooth out after about 500 rounds or so.

Buy once cry once get a sig. worst customer service and when your product does not work it is very important go with a reputable brand.... trust me I know from experience
