Thanks for posting your remodel videos! I'm getting a lot of good ideas for my project too. I have a couple questions you can hopefully answer, because I am not as mechanically educated as you seem to be. Are you sticking with the transmission from the 2500? What drive shaft are you going to use to hook up to the rear axle? I have a 1973 Winnebago Chieftan that I'm building for family trips. Like you I'm not interested in getting 5 MPG. So updating the drivetrain is something I'm researching. Cheers!

original ram transmission, I plan on giving both drive shafts to a local shop with a measurement and having them franfinstine one for me

If your getting 5 mpg with a 20' motorhome 440 you have some serious issues. I get 13 in a 22'.
well, I actually never drove it enough to find out. I just wanted to start fresh ( since the old engine needed a lot of love anyways)
