Plenty of celebrities have the exact same story as this, Michael Jackson once paid a bunch of people to go into a supermarket, pretend to shop and ignore him just so he could feel kind of normal for 10 minutes. It hardly makes them bad people.
@@BarneyGumbl3 I love Kevin's work. Everyone has good and bad days, and that's ok. I can't fault anyone (particularly celebrities) for not always being "on". And I certainly couldn't be a public figure. There's a price to fame and those aspects are no secret. Kevin wasn't born into this lifestyle, _he_ pursued it knowing full well what comes with. Don't forget, for the majority of his life KJ was a "normal" guy. And now there are a ton of things he can do that the average person can't. But yes, we can buy cereal without someone quoting our box office hit that earned our family generations of financial security, countless opportunities, and tremendous freedoms. I'm not minimizing or taking for granted my access to privacy and normalcy. I deeply value those things, which is why I never pursued the public spotlight.
We all have to adjust our lives to suit our levels of comfort. Inconveniencing large groups of people just to suit your own desires isn't acceptable no matter what path you've chosen. So in terms of the example of a celeb asking for an entire store to evacuate and close down just so they can feel "normal" is massively entitled. A bit dickish too. That alone says quite a bit about a person's character. If I had to go to the store to buy things to provide for my family in between three jobs and an already tight schedule, only to find that my local store closed down bc some celebrity wanted to feel "normal", oh you best believe that wouldn't fly with _actual_ "normal" people. But you're fanboying out so....

The message Kevin is stating is absolute truth to the core. Many nights I have burst into tears with how sick we are as a society and how we treat one another, anger toward each other, racism, bullying, corruption, greed etc. Kevin was able to point out the hideousness of us all. For a long time that’s all I could think about and than he reminds us it’s not all horror and hopelessness, He made me think of the hero’s in our society, those who stand up for the weak and sacrifice there life for others and those who give and help others in time of need. He made me think of how I grew up in a single mother household and how much my mother sacrificed for me and brothers without a single thought to herself, the time my mother couldn’t see well because she needed her eye glass prescription to be higher but instead she used the money to buy my brothers and I cloths for school because we didn’t have anything that fit. The nights I heard her cry because She didn’t know how we were going to get food.We grew up poor and she always made it work for us somehow and without question always put us first and if there are people out there like that than this world and our people will always be worth fighting for.
