I am 17 years old and I am living a period of failure, but inside me I have beautiful dreams, in my soul, in my heart. Recently, I discovered that wishing and wanting is not enough. You have to struggle to reach what you want. When I am the age of this great man, I want to be proud of what I have created, what I have presented, what I have succeeded in, and what I have failed to achieve. I know that I am in a bad situation now and no one believes in me, but I can overcome this. God is with me and myself is with me as well. This video appeared to me by chance. I felt it was a signal for me to stop, wake up from my sleep, get up, and stop creating drama and illusions. I must get up and live a real life, overcoming my fear and the bad people in my life. I know that this is difficult because I have tried hundreds of times and failed, but I will be stronger. I will fight for the peaceful and prosperous life that I desire, no matter what the cost. Rest in peace, great man. I hope your kind soul rests in heaven♥.

I just came across this video and I watched the other one just now and I must say, I'm touched. I came by real late but I still felt the impact of this sweet old man's advice. I don't think I've gotten any advice like this one. Not even from my parents. The way he says, we need you. The way he spoke, I didn't know when my eyes got teary. Coz my life right now is hard, it's really hard and I've just been trying to get by and hold on. I really needed this. I wish I could sit down with him and enjoy more of his wisdom. But now he's resting. May his sweet soul rest in peace with the Lord. Even in death, you're still impacting lives. Thank you so much. You were a gift and you still are.
I am sobbing while watching this. It randomly appeared in my suggested after a pretty bad panic attack. The world seems out of my control; it is 2023. Things are surface level good for me, but nothing is stable. It feels like it will crumble at any moment. Those in power seem to eat everything up in their greed no matter what we do, and those older than me (I’m 29) only have harsh words to give to my generation when we try to seek advice or share how confusing this time is with them. I’ve prayed for some older, wiser being to converse with, to show me the way, to hear me out. I’m so thankful for this video. I saw that this sweet soul passed away, god bless his soul. This was the answer to my prayer. I am determined to become the old person young people can turn to for hope and encouragement, like he did for me. Thank you. ❤
A great man, whose inspirational words are forever engraved in the hearts and minds of those of us that were fortunate enough to stumble upon this video. RIP, Mr. Bernard Albertson.
I needed this in this exact moment. I’ve been feeling like an absolute failure recently because of a mistake I made. It’s been so hard trying to get out of condemnation & self hate. All I keep saying is I wish I could go back in time and be smarter but I can’t. I really feel like I’ve ruined my future & my family. I needed these words. It’s been really hard. Really hard.
An old man's advice is like a rare gem, shaped by the wisdom of time and experience. In the midst of our fast-paced world, taking heed of such wisdom can offer invaluable insights and guidance. Here's to cherishing the timeless wisdom passed down through generations
Inspirational video from an genuine soul. None of that vibe like he is trying to sell me something or monetize that I get from all the other self-help channels.
For anyone wondering, Bernard passed away on July 10, 2020. He was 82. Rest in peace, Bernard. Thank you for leaving a message towards the generations before you.

People saying that “ we need more people like him” But how about us turning ourself like him, instead of waiting someone to be like him lets be better and be like him
Well we can't be exactly like him. But we can take a page from his book and learn. When we become around the age he did this video in, we can turn around and give loving advice to our younger generation and let's pray and hope to god they listen.
Good and bad do not exist but people’s opinions and perceptions on reality do exist only for a short time until they die and sometimes their opinions will go on for a couple hundred years and maybe a couple thousand years but eventually their opinions will disappear maybe due to a catastrophe that wipes out most of mankind.
A great African proverb because we did not have widespread written history. Most wisdom was passed orally so when the elders passed they took all their wisdom with them. Thus children would often sit at the feet of elders listening to stories of times gone by
give me a break... There are plenty of old men who never read a book in their lives & never did much living. There are a lot of them. Don't give them so much credit.
TheRedTigress And yet no one has heeded the learning opportunity from it. Instead, we make the same mistakes that lead us to that point again, or we cover up what happened and the problem emerges somewhere else. Everyone needs to stop throwing a hissy fit and get some composure, and real change will happen.
cjm the problem is how our energy leads to nothing . What people miss , what people don’t realize , is how our leader profit from our misery and our champions . What I mean is wether we’re fighting the good fight or were standing by doing nothing ; we play right into their hands . Just look at this stuff with cops. How hard would it be for the government to outlaw police unions ? How hard to start dynamic training of police that teaches the the skills they need to not resort to violence ? It’s not hard. All it takes is one bill being passed. Yet instead they tell us “the only way to change is with your vote “ , and of course , to vote for them or their allies . We need to wake up. In this age of woke we are more asleep than ever. The matrix of the internet and our technology has lead us to believe we’re sooo damn smart. But I’n reality were simplying making the rich richer and the powerful more powerful. On top of this in regards to violence no one sees how the lifestyle urban youth live pretending to be gangsters is hugely toxic . Of course too our leaders won’t speak out against that. Because they truly don’t want us to change. If the world didn’t have misery why would we need leaders to lead ? I just believe we’re doing exactly what they want.
cjm and watch after the election if Biden wins..magically racism falls to the back of everyone’s minds and ppl will move on. And in a few years again it’ll happen again. And again the message will be “VOTE VOTE VOTE”

What??!!!
Republic O Reality lmfao the person paid respects you didn’t say it at all. Let us respect this man how we see fit. Have a wonderful day.

But how about us turning ourself like him, instead of waiting someone to be like him lets be better and be like him
Well we can't be exactly like him. But we can take a page from his book and learn. When we become around the age he did this video in, we can turn around and give loving advice to our younger generation and let's pray and hope to god they listen.

“Good nor bad things last forever” I’ll keep that in mind.
There’s a lyric from a country song that goes “thinking that your luck won’t ever change is like thinking it won’t ever stop once it starts to rain”
Balance
Numb
Good and bad do not exist but people’s opinions and perceptions on reality do exist only for a short time until they die and sometimes their opinions will go on for a couple hundred years and maybe a couple thousand years but eventually their opinions will disappear maybe due to a catastrophe that wipes out most of mankind.

A great African proverb because we did not have widespread written history. Most wisdom was passed orally so when the elders passed they took all their wisdom with them. Thus children would often sit at the feet of elders listening to stories of times gone by

THIS WAS 5 YEARS AGO AND IS RELEVANT TO EVERYTHING GOING ON NOW
Because the shit going on now is similar to the shit that went in on 2015, in terms of rioting and nationwide BLM protests. Its all repeating
Name Watcher because that’s what history does!! It always does that, it’s incredible how repetitive things are historically
