Barnsworth is referential to Barnsley; The video footage in the opening is a clips show of a Barnsley market and Barnsworth's crest is made to look like Barnsley's crest, even down to the latin which has been been altered to say "strong in arm, thick in head".
I've watched three different people from the UK play this and I love that each time when they get to the police notice sign the response is always "and they're doing fuck all about it". 🤣
To clarify, 10 bob is 50p, it's because 10 bob was the slang for 10 shillings or the 10 shilling note which was replaced by the 50p coin when they moved from Shillings to Pound Sterling
The sad thing about this is that I'm pretty sure her not helping Bish is why she missed the final Reg's wife reference. Considering how much of a focus that was in this stream it was a real bummer.
Came for the “burgy alert” TikTok clip, stayed for the incredible UA-cam channel. Keep it up, you have great style and even greater personality! Purple burgler alarm!!!
I think it's adorable that you thought the way to talk to people was using the jump button at first instead of just slapping them. :P Also loved seeing your face light up when you met Jasper. :) Edit: It's a shame you didn't fully help out Bish's fish stall, you ended up missing out on the best "Reggie's wife could learn a thing or two" moment in the game.
Good ol Barnsley getting a mention in still wakes the deep and now a game based on it, we love to see it and an accurate representation of t'arn xD They've nailed it.
I just saw this playthrough today and my is the reaction to every bit wildly diff from every other cc ive watched. Im not Scottish, or British, but seeing someone adore every little joke they put in the game... from the writings on the wall and the floor, to the slang that i dont understand... makes me incredibly happy :D It seems like you had a wonderful time
Really enjoyed watching your gameplay. Quite thorough unlike other youtubers who just breeze through the game missing out on so many details. Except you missed the fishmonger part where the joke at the end is just crazy. The dirtiest I think in the entire game lol In a way I think its good that you missed it. Maybe Reggie's wife could have learned a thing or two. BTW love your scottish accent :D
Thank you so much for the kind words and for enjoying the video! It's hard to pick up on all the details whilst steaming and interacting with chat so glad I got some of those funny moments. Just means I gotta replay it to do the fishmonger part 😂
Those screen text cards that appear throughout the game are not chapter titles; they are *chapter end titles.* (So "In For a Penny" marks the END of the first chapter, "Enough for Everyone" marks the end of the second one and so on.)
I like that you keep not realising that you keep failing the fishmonger stuff (thats why he says that, your supposed to give the fish a ciggy)....witch leads to another wife joke 😂 You also missed the final brick seller joke by not punching the wall 😂
Fun playthrough! But I'd recommend not using a red border on the bottom of a thumbnail because at a glance it looks like UA-cam's indicator on how far you've watched a video previously.
I was looking forward to this 3 hour video. I thought it's longer than the game's "normal duration" because you didn't miss a lot of interactions and even got to see most of them but I see now that it's just you mostly talking to chat. Also funny seeing you got distracted a lot and miss the current conversation as well 😂 - the "who asked" too even tho you were the one who smacked them lol so ig it's *you* who asked 🤣
All of my videos are from my Twitch streams (I try and edit out any raids/subs that interrupt the flow of the game) but yeah my priority is always engaging with the folks who watch live! Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed the gameplay.
Came across this while searching for playthroughs of this game, and I'm pleasantly surprised to come across a fellow baked bean disliker. Also, Jasper (I think that was his name?) the angry Scottish plumber was my favorite character. The fact that he seems to know where his tools actually are implies that this exact thing has happened before, with the same tools ending up in the same places. Either that or he just has a psychic sense of where his tools are at all times... which I wouldn't rule out.

It's supposed to be super silly. Spirit levels are used to measure how parallel something is on a surface. Also referred to as bubble level. There is liquid and bubbles inside it when it moves, so it's not something you'd be able to go and buy, which is why they were winding up the character by asking him to go find some!
In Britain its traditional when you work on building sites, garages or any other mostly male based profession, to play practical jokes on the young interns by sending them on wild goosechases to get impossible things For example asking em to go fetch a bag of sparks for this spark plug Its a way of trying to teach them to not be a useless bag of shite
@@TonySpike It's a prank among working men (and army) in other countries too. Send the newbie on a wild goose chase after a non-existent item until someone breaks down and tells him. Also, obviously, it's a test of job knowledge (anyone familiar with construction work should know what spirit level is).

i always get really sad whenever people don't finish Bish's storyline properly. you're supposed to hit everything twice to progress it, and then do the same thing every time you pass through, but most people don't make it through the first part of it. it ends with probably my favorite joke in the whole game.

If you properly deck out Bish's stall every time (by hitting all the bits multiple times), the next time you go there, he has a new stall layout. On the last stall layout, there is a limp fish, head pointing down right where Bish is, and every time you hit it, Bish moans a bit more, and the fish gets a bit straighter, with Bish getting more and more red in the face, until he...finishes and says: "Reggies wife could learn a thing or two"
