37:13 I think what happened here is that ByuN thought that his defending army was already dealing with those zerglings - which they were, but only with half of the lings, whereas the other half was too far to agro the marines and just walked past them straight into the mineral line. And ByuN didn't look at that part of the map for 13 seconds, which is... a long while.

Feels like Serral was too cautious with overlord scouting in the first game, trying to keep it alive and miss out on knowing what Byun was building. He's more aggressive flying that overlord right through after that.

That Byun strat makes quite a lot of sense ... It's insane that he came up with this kind of idea to counter the "meta"

Honestly that first game I feel like Serral should have invested in something like Hydras or even a few corruptors, the whole reason Byun could keep his aggression up was the Medis and I feel like if he could have shut them down, Byon wouldn't have been able to sustain his army and eventually would have been left with too little to work with.
After all this years casting SC2 games is so funny hearing Lowko flabergaster about Byun strategies xD GREAT CAST AS ALWAYS!

The first game - this is the kind of game that got me into watching SC2 years ago. I remember it was HoTS time I think, but I was also probably watching older WoL tournaments. TvZ was all about long, drawn out parade pushes back then and I thought it was epic. Some of this energy was also present recently with some of 100 worker mass low tech units games over the years, but 2 base terran parade pushing across the map is something great :3

I liked Byun's approach in the first game. Ideally, you shouldn't have to equalize in workers with zerg if you are combat efficient. However, you do put yourself in a position of perfect play and it might not be the most practical decision. Some of the highlights of that strategic choice was the creep control and the fact that it is easier to defend two bases with terran. If it forced Serral to stop producing drones I consider that a strategy worth considering. The problem is that Serral is also very good at micromanaging. Which makes the idea a gamble.

do they get to look at the replay and "rewind the match" after each game? or is it immediately into the next game?
Ok, this is gonna sound wild, but: is there a micro advantage for ling-bane Zerg by approaching from the north? Because the banes are going to be obscured by the Medivacs, making them harder to target fire.
I was thinking the same thing, there were definitely a couple moments that seemed to hold true. It is a wild thought though, that if you spawn south of a Zerg opponent as a Terran, then the win rate actually skews toward mech

I feel like Byun has been having personal issues lately. There’s been games where he was basically throwing when he would have otherwise dominated. A series vs scarlett comes to mind

That first game made very little sense, especially against Serral. That was quite risky by Byun, but that kind of craziness is what makes him so fun to watch.
I actually wonder if they'd allow someone to play with their arm AND foot, provided the software could support that
Lowko mentioned in a previous video someone wanted a key binding to a foot pedal during a tournament, this was denied
If you are looking for a new strategy game until stormgate, may i suggest the stronghold game series, slightly different take on rts compared to SC2, but great none the less
Holy shit that first game. What actually happened at the end? Serral ran out of larva didnt he? He was floating recources for only 30 sec though. Guess that's enough time for Byun!

Lowko don’t worry so much about the analytics. A lot of that non sub number is inflated. I know personally I watch a bunch of games at work on break and I don’t feel like signing in/out

even with all the zerg nerf, serral is still him. this series would of been done and over with if all the serral nerfs wasnt a thing. the whole brood lord trick. the banes not sucking as much. etc

I still think Protoss needs a slight buff. Reynor playing Protoss is good but it also highlights weakness with the race.
I think templar need to move a bit faster to match zerg spellcasters more, and it'd be okay for PvZ. PvT needs something done to the ghost.
Protoss does look at a disadvantage against both zerg and terran.

Bro as a protoss, I can say that zero is not op and terrain is not broken. Literally their basic unit the marine is seriously good, able to play as a late game unit, not to mentions seige tanks, which are incredibly annoying to play against

Well, I guess ByuN COULD just have used good build orders, but OBVIOUSLY it is Zerg that is OP.
If bad BOs can get you this close to a win - and that against a superior player (Serral is the superior player to ByuN) I guess that is a good hint which race is imba.
Spoiler: The race that is strongest starts with a "T".
Byun lost because he screw up badly in the third match. Nothing to do with balance. Such things happens.
Keep neerfing zerg now even serral needs to outmine terran by 3 bases to afford the trades nice ...

oh well, another Terran wipeout. They were nerfed to hard this patch. . unless you can show some pro series where Terran don't spanked or get really lucky. its like 2020 again, where as a terran player you just slowly lose hope.
