In the comic book version of ragnorok Thor goes on a journey to try and save his people but soon realises that the only way to end the cycle of death and rebirth is to allow Ragnorok, the end of days to occur and let his people die in battle. It is a heavy burden but Thor hardens his heart and destroys the life tree the source of all thr reincarnation for his people. Now when they die they die for good (at least at the time). It was a serious moment and treated with dignity. The film version treats ragnorok like a bloody joke. No gravitas, no nuanced, no moment of the asgardians reflecting on their destroyed home. As soon as Asgard is destroyed the rock alien makes a poor joke at their expense. The comic version is a series dramatic tale of honour and sacrifice. The film version is a rubbish generic superhero slugfest with no depth. It was made for people who do not read the comics or anything for that matter. Honestly. the best Thor movie in my opinion. I watched this when it first came out, and nothing can top it. Comedic af, and literally the story, and soundtrack was top tier. Neil Hood Not bad writing, but they have to save some budget. They used a lot for making Thanos facial expressions and scenes. That and hulk would’ve been too much.
He isn't scared of Thanos. If you watch the deleted scenes in Infinity War then you will see that Hulk wants to be used for more than just fighting. Hulk represents a side of Bruce Banner that Bruce had always attempted to control and bury but Hulk wants to live too. In the deleted scenes they both make peace with each other and became Professor Hulk (the one you see in Endgame). But the test audience for Infinity War was confused when Hulk was successful and then everyone was masacred by Thanos, it kinda didn't fit, so they cut it out.

I really love the direction they took Hulk in, it really shows his child-like behaviour. People keep forgetting that Hulk wasn't born with smashing everything in mind, he's still a child in mind born from Banner. Regarding the power scaling of Hulk, in the Infinity War Comics, Thanos was scared to fight Hulk because he was too strong while in the movie, Thanos just toyed with him. The reason for this is that he developed to be more mature and growing a sense of humanity. I do believe that Kevin Feige is building Hulk to become either Planet, Immortal or Planet breaker Hulk, possibly losing that humanity he built up. Added note: Smart Hulk isn't permanent, Banner is gonna go back to being Banner and Hulk is gonna go back to being Hulk and lose that sense of humanity.

I really love the direction they took Hulk in, it really shows his child-like behaviour. People keep forgetting that Hulk wasn't born with smashing everything in mind, he's still a child in mind born from Banner. Regarding the power scaling of Hulk, in the Infinity War Comics, Thanos was scared to fight Hulk because he was too strong while in the movie, Thanos just toyed with him. The reason for this is that he developed to be more mature and growing a sense of humanity. I do believe that Kevin Feige is building Hulk to become either Planet, Immortal or Planet breaker Hulk, possibly losing that humanity he built up.
Added note: Smart Hulk isn't permanent, Banner is gonna go back to being Banner and Hulk is gonna go back to being Hulk and lose that sense of humanity.
Why does he stop being Smart Hulk? Is he a better fighter as dumb hulk?

Marvel couldn't benefit so they never made Hulk the protagonist. Spoiler: But in she-hulk he went to sakaar again which may lead to World War hulk story.

I always thought the ending of this movie was so tragic, but then I realized that the destruction of Asgard was was only way! But on the bright side it is good to see that new Asgard was established in Norway the land of the Nordic gods!
