  • Once the stock catalytic converter was removed I could see how played out my clutch slave cylinder was. I knew I had to keep adding fluid to the clutch master cylinder but didn't know cause of leak...it looks like it had rusted through or was just clapped out. This is the removal and installation of both the clutch slave cylinder and the clutch master cylinder.
This is one of 15 videos chronicling the installation of headers, new evaporator, new spark plugs/wires, clutch slave & master cylinder, and cooling hoses to my 1993 C4 Corvette with the LT-1 engine. You can pick and choose which bits are helpful to you.
If you don't like the editing (I know crap about it) then you will have to choose to view someone else's video.

Wow! Thanks Troy. I wished I’d had more light and talked less but I felt like for those of us actually doing any of this work…. I showed enough of the steps so that if you’re looking at yours my videos will make sense.
There are a lot of different parts, each video description lists the work attempted in that particular video.

Thnx for the videos. The brackets for the AC are critical to keep vibrations down, from the load of the AC..

Hey Fizzy Billy I changed my clutch master and slave cylinder and why does it take so long to bleed, I got tired and gave up.

Don’t give up!!!! It will pump up. Sit down beside the car and use your arm to push the pedal down...push repeatedly and rapidly...don’t count just pump. Once you can’t push it with your arm anymore then use your leg, then get a partner while you are under the car waiting to turn the bleed screw.
Hopefully you know that you have to make sure the bleeder screw is screwed down right before you began the bleed process.
I think it takes so long to pump up because the hose between MC and SC was emptied during the install process

Sorry Greg…I bought a $400 set from eBay. At first I bought the $2K set from Stainless Works but it didn’t fit per my video…then I bought the eBay specials because I knew I would have to cut them up…I can’t remember the name, it was sooo long ago seemingly.

I just looked on eBay and saw that there is a set for $545 sold by Merchantsellers….those would likely be the equivalent of what I bought. I kept the AIR tube connections to maintain factory emissions.
