Hi. When you tested “XLR PLOSIVES TEST” you have two connectors XLR and USB plugged. How they work together? Or XLR on priority when bought connected? Thanks
The main benefit of connecting the XLR and USB at the same time is that you can light up the RGB while using the better XLR audio. The XLR doesn't take priority until you set it as the default input of your computer.

This would be an Awesome combo to use for game streaming but recording gameplays with voice overs for me personally and along with Coops with friends. REALLY GOOD REVIEW 👍 AND RGB is always welcome
This would help start my podcasting channel for HVAC content. Your detail in explaining the products was great specially the difference in using usb cable versus xlr. Great content and video. I will keep my fingers crossed for a chance at one of these bundles.
Thanks for sharing all the deets. I’m considering using these products for a podcast with my buddy about the intersection of Tolkien and current technology advances like LLMs and other generative AI systems.
Loved the review, all details mentiones, thank you!! The setup looks really good. I would love to record my literature podcast since my mic stopped working out of nowhere and get a nice quality if i'm lucky enough.
i got the am8 but with the standard metal spring arm and it's fallen apart. i'm glad i found this review convincing me to buy the boom arm and even the xlr setup to get better audio. you've got a new subscriber!
Great review! Your style of presenting is really thorough and helpful, thank you. I am planning on getting back into making videos and start streaming after a long hiatous, so all my equipment is like 10 years outdated. Would be over the moon, if I got lucky and won the giveaway
Either is fine, if you want to control the sound at the mic, connect there for the direct monitoring of your voice. In the pc won’t necessarily give you direct monitoring unless it’s part of the program you’re using. Hope this helps.
Dude that setup is no joke looks and sounds amazing could be a great addition to the setup I'm building and would make me want to stream more also Great video pal as always Stay Cozy

Very well done video. Just purchased all three so this video was very helpful . Only question, could you use xlr cables as well as usb to allow the mixer to run the mic but also allow the rgb lights and touch to mute?
Thank you brother! I really appreciate that. I want to increase the quality of my production and learn how to tell stories a little better even when product showcasing! I appreciate you subbing and chatting!! 🙏🏾
Another useful video, many thanks Christopher! Which do you prefer out of the BM88 and the Thronmax S6? Interested to hear which you consider better in you experience? Thanks again. 👍
Hey! The Thronmax has more weight support by about 30%. Because of that, the Thronmax makes more sense for me due to always testing different microphones and it comes with a plate to add other attachments as well. The BM88 has that white powder coating so on an aesthetic desk, I might go with that, but as a creator, the Thronmax is the one for me due to utility!
@@CoZChristopher appreciate the lightning quick response! Thanks. It was the answer I was kind of expecting. The Thronmax was the one I favoured for its apparent added versatility, glad to hear you echoed my thoughts. Have a great day.
It would. It has soft surface on the inside of the clamp. Maybe use something on the under side where the clamp comes up to apply even pressure in that spot like a small coaster or something.
I bought the am8 but the thing that makes me very dissatisfied is that it has electric sound or buzzing sound, but if you turn the angle, it will be fine. I want to ask you if you have this kind of problem?
Hey I haven’t had that with mine? Are you hearing that with it on USB or XLR? When you say angle, are you saying location of the mic, oh also, have you tried with different cables? It should be ok with most interfaces if it’s being used XLR but make sure it’s not getting phantom power.
I tried my XLR cable with Yamaha MG10XU and tried a different type C cable, but I still have the same problem. Also, the angle I'm talking about is that I tilted the microphone's vertical angle to make the "Static Buzzing Noise". also, I didn't get what you mean by not getting phantom power. Also thank you so much for the response so instant.
@@xeven2185 ahhh ok so when you tilt it vertically it’s making the noise and that’s with both USB-C and XLR cable it’s making the same sound? That could be inside the mic if that’s the case. I was asking if you had maybe sent a gain boost to the mic from your interface using phantom power or a gain boost setting. a Perhaps that was causing the extra noise. I would check to make sure all channels the mic is connected to is flat with no EQ or anything added at first. Then if it’s still happening when the mic is tilting up, my guess is it’s potentially inside the mic which isn’t typical if the cables also aren’t having issues. If that’s the case and you ordered through Amazon order a replacement and check to see how long before you have to return the first one. Test out the second one to see if it also has problems. If so then I’d look into your preamps on your audio interface. Bit of you did usb straight to pc and got that noise that would negate the fault being at the interface most likely
Very similar in build and design but the Thronmax has more weight capacity! Which for long term is better, in case you switch to a heavier mic. The BM88 is 1.5kg or around 3ilbs and the S6 is 2.2kg or around 4ilbs
@@rayraydundaddi Don't have one, I just figured I'd choose one and save toward it. I just know my Maono isn't considered a professional mic and need one that doesn't pick up my desktop's engine noises. 😅
I'm glad high quality audio and nice setups are so affordable these days. Does the BM88 hold up to wear/scratches like the white elgato arm though? I've seen reviews on Amazon where the paint gets chipped easily (according to them) but I haven't seen people say that about the elgato arm.
I've not watched a number of your videos. I do enjoy how you present information, I just refuse to buy into Apples* walled garden ecosystem. I will never stream, no discord*, phone is talk and text and I stopped buying consoles with the previous generation as I did not care for any of the games. I DO still play ancient games like Zelda, Link, Mario, FF, Dragon Warrior. I find them fun and their limited graphics is not an issue. I do wish game designers would focus on "fun", stability, interesting things to do, pick what you want in a game and dead last is "pretty". At 70, I'm likely in a very niche group. I got coaxed into PC gaming about 16 years ago and found I enjoyed it. What "should" make my group of consumers valuable is our ability to buy the toys we want. But one of the reasons we have cash is we were smart with our money. One example that springs to mind is the cost of a 4090 versus a 7900XTX. If your seconds are that valuable, why are you not using a work station? Basically gaming? Lots of $400-600 options. I used an EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 as it performed well at 4k and replacements were absurdly priced until fairly recently. Waiting and watching to see what Black Friday and Cyber Monday will offer.
Thanks for what you do, brother. Keep up the good work.
Thank you brother ❤️❤️

does it sag/bend so bad? on the part of table clamp and first level bar of the mic
