O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion1 or say about Allāh except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allāh and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allāh and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allāh is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. as someone with auditory processing issues, this is like, scarily accurate to what i hear in everyday conversations sometimes ngl, like the whole time i was just constructing sentences in my head based off of the sounds and context clues cos thats how i go about comprehending things in real life when i cant properly understand what i hear. seriously watching this felt so much like trying to understand conversation irl; the way i could catch a few recognisable words or phrases but some of them made no sense with the context, certain recognisable, significant phrases really popping out (specifically, the insults and swears), and the way the words all slurred together. massive props to the creators, this is really impressive!! i’ll probably use this video in the future as an example to explain to people what my auditory processing issues are like to experience because this is genuinely the most accurate representation of how it feels. this is a really well-made film and the way the lines were constructed like, linguistically is really interesting

I am starting to lose my hearing. My older brother uses hearing aids and stil has problems. Your message above plus this well done video remind me of my two favorite coversations (for unintentional humor) with my older brother. After one, I was silent too long, and after prodding, told my brother I know he wasn't talking about bears. For the second, again after being silent for too long, I told him I was still trying to figure out three words. I still chuckle if I think of these. Diane, using Joe's tablet.

The script and specifically the execution is super exceptional. For one, it's incredibly hard to intentionally talk respectable gibberish consistently for so long all while acting, and to add another layer of difficulty, they pronounced common words that even very very new non-English speakers know (what, today, swear words, ...) very clearly. So this is genuinely super close to how English sounds to non-English speakers that know the basics. But the execution was CLEAN.

This right here is acting. This is like a technique called grammelot where you use incoherent or nonsensical words but use tone, body language etc to portray a scene. Chances are you didnt understand a single sentence that was being said but you felt it. There was clearly a story to this and these two did it perfectly. It genuinely amazed me how they were able to move me in a scene where next to none of it was intelligible. Massive well done to these two
