Agreed! Yes, we may not have that waistline of a 25-30 year old, but staying toned, lifting weights helps and keeping upper arms from being flabby helps.
@trixi1608 well, there certainly are lots of possible combinations, but I'm finding the quality of fabrics & tailoring has gone down while proces go nowhere but up on new items.
Could you please do another shoe video to show how we can repurpose office pants for a casual lifestyle and also dress shoes that are comfortable (and ship internationally)? My closet is a shoe graveyard of bad choices, uncomfortable shoes or ones that are too high. But low heeled shoes look so dowdy.
Losing weight, rearrangement of the padding, greying hair and working remotely all changed my wardrobe needs. Zoom meetings all day and a lot of travel also changed my requirements. Based upon your recommendation to match our perfect handbag color to our hair, I bought a gorgeous grey Cafune Stance bag that I think will be a forever bag for me. It’s my first grey bag and it’s perfect.
Great video and advice as always. I agree that you look radiant today. You always look so wonderful. At 73, my three style words are: classic, modern, and elevated every day. The last one is key, because wearing nice trousers, dresses and cashmere, brings joy, even if I'm only going to the grocery store.
I used to be a True Autumn. Now I’m straddling a Warm Spring, Soft Autumn. As a redhead, I refuse to go grey. I know it would look awful on my warm skin. I’m working toward getting rid of black, but it’s nearly impossible. I love black! I’m working on just black bottoms. I will keep you posted. This is such a great video Nada, thank you! I’m agreeing with the others, white for the win on you!
Such a good video has made me realise how I need to go and try things on in a wide range of stores even if I buy nothing just for size reference. For some reason so many on line stores do not give trouser length I’m 5 10 so need trousers to be long enough I see some nice trousers and then find that the model is 5 6 or sometimes a very slim model will be wearing trousers in a large size so that the waist is on their hips to get the leg length not a look that I think will suit me at 66. I love fashion but do not enjoy shopping any more it has become so difficult (from the Uk}
You are so right: weight gets redistributed. At 71, I am slim - the same weight as 50 years ago. But my waist is 4" wider (while the hips have only one extra inch). Some clothes that were perfect 5 years ago now don't fit right. Farewell to them. At least I do have a waist after 6 years of yoga - and cycling and swimming. I want to get the frame right for the clothes. My posture is better, and my tummy flat. So I dress the body I have now
Hi. Enjoyed the video and clothing tips. I have a dress that the style is quite similar to that long sleeve green dress with ruching as well as the grayish dress with the tie belt. I have a curvy figure (5ft 2in) and those look well on me.
I ordered 2 pants sizes online, and this was great advice from you, Nada! I was relieved to find one of them fit, although still had to hem, being 5’ tall. All great advice in this video, too, thank you!
I'm 54 and its getting more difficult to find clothes I like. I don't mind spending money if its something made really well and I love it but anything I don't absolutely love doesn't get bought anymore. I can't figure out if they are making more boring clothes or if my taste has changed that much.
I want to invest in a Max Mara wool coat. I love the look of camel but it doesn’t love me. I wear a lot of black now but in thinking about the longevity of this piece and how my hair will continue to grey, I think maybe a dark grey or navy might be a better in the long term. It’s on my shopping wishlist.
My bustline has significantly expanded as I've gotten older. I've gone from an A to a C cup which is just ridiculous because I'm otherwise small boned. It's easy for me to look very top heavy now. Not a fan!
It not only happens after menopause, but it happens also after having babies. I know of women in their 20's who were an A cup and now a good C after their babies. I know how you feel. I am short at 5"1" and it makes me look larger than I should be.
Praying that this doesn't happen to me! I'm 42 and can't imagine going from having nothing my entire life to a C-cup! Plus I don't want the back pain that comes with having a large bust.
You have helped me so much. When I look in my closet I see clothes that I love. I sew and have altered things I once thought were an okay fit. I don’t buy things that won’t go with many items in my wardrobe. Colors and personal style are first and foremost in my mind when I shop and dress and I dress every day with style in mind. My self confidence has really increased and I am a happier person. Never thought this could have affected me in this way. Thank you!
At 71, I have shrunk from 5’7” to 5’4” and now buy petite pants for the inseam. My boobs have gone from 34DDD to 34G! I just found this out last week from the Dillard’s bra fitter. I had tried on several cocktail dresses with side zippers and couldn’t close them. That’s why.
It is true. I have lost 1and quarter inch in height. I have a lot of degenerated discs. My chiropractor told me just 2 of mine alone would take of 3/4" and he said I have more than that.

Nada! There is no color better on you than white! You look absolutely radiant, perfect contrast. WOW.
Thank you! It's a favorite of mine!!!
I agree! And love the lip colour !
At age 50 & over, you've experienced quite a few style trends come & go again and again, such that everthing seems boring. The key is staying fit.
SO true! Take a walk, lift a few weights, do some stretching, eat your veggies. 😊

Yes!!!!
I think if you truly love fashion, it never gets boring.

Nada, you look gorgeous in that white sweater!

Hi Nada. Thank you for your great videos! I would like the Specialty Size Catalogue as I am 5'10" with long legs & arms & torso.
Ahh to be tall like that! You are so blessed! Here's the link! hueandstripe.com/catalog/306H&S2bh2 THanks for the comment!
I'd love that custom catalog.
You can find it in this catalog of size categories. Thanks for the comment Carole! hueandstripe.com/catalog/306H&S2bh2

Thank you for this! I know at 64 my body has definitely changed.

I kinda wish my bust line would expand

The thought of having my measurements stored in my phone is beyond depressing 🤦♀️
Noooo... don't think that way. :) Those numbers are meaningless. Just a way to get a good fit.

People do shrink in height.
