I went through a style epiphany this year as i first had a color analysis done which helped me focus on my best colors when shopping. You are spot on with a more focused approach to selecting just the right pieces quickly while bypassing all the distracting clutter. Secondly, I did a massive declutter and began buying my basics in the right colors for me. Navy, dark gray, burgundy and off white are my core colors. Then I added pastels like pink, blue, and lavender for warm weather here in Arizona.. Finally, I add dark colors like purple or wine, and jewel tones of magenta, teal and cobalt. I look best in cool tones and knowing that has been a game changer. I have to commend you on the simplicity of this video. Most of us are not all one style and even though I am a classic dresser, I also like to add edgy and even romantic elements once in a while. You expertly showed some great examples of that in today's video. Well done, Nada!
Wow I am overwhelmed by the depth of knowledge you have about your personal style. Getting dressed and shopping must be a breeze for you now. Thank you for sharing. ❤
I'm 70% classic and 30% creative. I prefer classic Glam looks with a twist. I have a love of romantic style in me as well so at times a touch of tidier looking boho
Wow, what a revelation, Nada! I could never figure out my style until I saw this video. It's because I like several different styles but interpreted in a classic way - lightbulb moment!
I am a bit of a style chameleon in that I can be equally comfortable in classic, boho, romantic, and a bit of edge. So I guess that classifies me as creative . I love color and some pattern as well as neutrals. I do tend to match items, so more focused is my vibe. My closet is very eclectic.
Thank you! This has been the most helpful video I’ve ever seen about how to find your personal style. The way you broke down and presented the information makes so much sense. I was able to identify my style right away. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I am new to your channel and this video has clarified my style type without fuss. You have explained it so simply and detailed that there are no more doubts. Thank you so much!
Your videos are always very insightful. I am pretty squarely Classic Edgy, but every once in a while like to branch out and add something like a boho element. If you're looking for series ideas, maybe pick someone from amongst your clients/viewers for each category and let us be a fly on the wall as you do a style session with them. Fun and informative.
Again, new to this wonderful channel and catching up on videos. So at the risk of answering the question a little late, I am decidedly a classic, minimal rule follower who likes to match and is extremely focused. However, I love people who are comfortable in other styles and appreciate the creativity. Understanding and embracing your personal style is a great gift to give yourself. It becomes the way you see and present the world.
Absolutely great video again. Thought I was a 100% classic dresser buy now when I looked at the different versions you showed I realise that there clearly is some elements in other styles that I love and would like to incorporate in to my classic style. You showed that beeing one type does not exclude anything it is just to interpret it to ones own style. It is just what one needs not to be closed in and boring
I'm classic/glam. But I have a hard time translating this into casual clothes! It seems like I'm either dressed up or old lady casual!! Great video--helped me pin down the style I want.
Thank you, this was a very detailed explanation of personality clothing styles, I knew I was a classic, but this breaks it down even further and why I gravitate to certain styles and why I do not feel comfortable in some styles while others look great in them. I am also retired so more wardrobe tends to be more relaxed. I am more focused and minimal in my choices and colours.
What a gorgeous dress pattern you are wearing! It suits you and looks very uplifting, colorful and fun! I never thought of figuring my style this way. It’s really helpful and smart. The pictures with examples really help as well. Based on the examples, I think I am most comfortable as a classic type, but I love glam and preppy directions the most. But I also really love patterns and bright colors as well.
Hello Nada! This was fun . I am a Classic in these terms. Since we are still traveling around, an easy comfortable look is best for me. I have found that (Thank Heaven!) the styles that I wore in my 20’s have come back into Style in 2023. lol. I now wear Sporty/Casual clothes 99% of the time... (Button down shirts or sweaters, jeans or corduroys, sneakers or boots, puffer vests or a pea coat). And, My hair is grown out quite long and I wear it as I did in my 20’s, too. I still like Banana Republic style for dressing up. 😁 Bonnie
Creative/casual. I like tropical, romantic, glitzy & glam, comfortable/relaxed, edgy, boho/gypsy, cowgirl chic (I live in rural area). I really love layering in unusual ways, but often chicken out wearing in public. I follow my own rules, just not societal ones.
I was living in Paris at 2 years old raised by an Italian mother and a Croatian father. My Italian nonna lived with us. Well the entire extended family on that side. So... My style is creative, I like knowing this! Thank you! Color! Boldness! Interestingly pulled together by quality, quality, quality! My collection's are valuable! The next generationS are egar for my cast offs! Not ever 70 something can say that! Regards Toni Torino
Well... i know i am classic but think i have a touch of glam. Never dared think glam until i saw the first photo and thought " that is me". Thank you ❤❤❤
Great video! I'm definitely classic with a big creative twist. For me it's easier defining my style under these 2 umbrellas rather than pinpointing a specific style because I'm a mood dresser that leans towards boho or edgy but now I include a more natural relaxed vibe due to a lifestyle change.
This is such an interesting video!!!!! I tend to the "creative" .... Classic with a twist, but in all the other style personalities you mentioned I am them but tend to the classic. I absolutely love vintage classic. Again very interesting. And I am 67 yrs. Thank you Nada.
This is a great video! I loved how you broke down the main style categories and showed the variations. I would be interested to hear how this aligns with Kibbe or Kitchener style types.
I feel like this topic is touching on an area of style that is somewhat discovery for me. I never thought of these ideas, but now after watching this video, I am looking more closely at my style and really paying attention.
Really, really helpfull. I always thought about my style like a colorful classic, because I like classical silhoettes but with color. Now your video opened a beautiful door for the way I see my personal style. Definitely I am a creative. Thank you!
I am both - except for my music videos when I go crazy for creative dressing obviously. But on the day to day now - I am more like classic with a little bit of creative. Is this true? I’m not sure! I am definitely a rule breaker and I love the quirky bits. Help!!!
OK, I love this and I love that you get the chance to express your creative style in your music videos. What a great outlet for your style. You may be a mood dresser. This is me as well. Sometimes I like to dress a little bit quieter and more elegant and other times I like to be more creative and quirky. But I am always feminine. Maybe try to pinpoint that word that is consistent across all of your outfits.
Interesting questions. I thought I was classic, but after watching the video, i see I only thought that because i prefer a tailored fit. I love mixing patterns and maximizing with accessories or color.
I taught Interior Design and wrote curricilum in that area. I am a light winter and have always been challenged by hims. I love the winter palette and own it. I love jackets and slacks with booties. Most of my clothes are creative and I love scarves. I'll mix a floral with a little stripe. I do prefer color unity. I live in cold mountains and we wear sweaters. I can't wear tall boots.
I think I’m classic with a twist. I loved the outfit by J.Jill. I like the first glam look for evening and the last one for day wear. Those outfits I love, but I find myself dressing classic edgy most of the time. I wear my moto jacket 90% of the time with jeans, leggings or a pencil skirt and boots for winter.
Never thought of Eileen Fisher as any kind of boho. I decide by whether or not my blood pressure responds. I consider myself more of a minimalist/ classic but not boring. I used to wear a lot of Zoran but also St. John (the Margarette Ley variety), very different vibes, but felt equally comfortable in both. Missoni is as close to boho as I ever got yet wore a lot of Eileen Fisher for casual. Maybe a multiple personality? I kept some of each and still wear them now that I am retired. With some creative preppy thrown in.
I am focused - I spend most of my time outdoors on a push bike, so my clothing has to work with that. I am classic but colorful: my hair is all white, so I add colour in my outfits. I have become less boho as I have aged (now 70)
The berry color lip with the dress looks beautiful on you! I’m surprised because you usually wear warmer tones which look great with your skin tone. The cooler tone looks great too!! Loved this video! I’m generally classic with a creative twist. 😂
Interesting. My closet is majority JJill, (they offer everything in petite, fits me well), but I never considered them Boho. I see myself as classic, casual, maybe slightly contemporary if the look suits my 67 yo body.
I am a petite and wear mostly jjill also. They fit my 60+ body. I like that I can add new accessories to my existing wardrobe because they repeat colors each season.
My first was creative, but all the rest seemed more classic. So, rule follower, match, focused, and minimal. So classic with a creative twist or edge? As usual, I just confuse myself.
I think you nailed it! It might help to think of it as a spectrum from classic to creative. You seem to be one step away from straight classic. Just something to keep in mind when shopping 😊
Thank you. Actually I just go to the thrift shop, or quickly cruze through a department store. I don't know my criteria for selecting; whatever will do for the need of the moment. I just don't have the energy to deal with it. Now age 75, I feel I have skated for long enough and it is time to be a bit more caring about my presentation.
I am 70 percent classic and 30 percent elevated ... calm but with bold colours, contrasts, not much patterns, using coloured chains/watches and other unexpected pieces. Not much patterns
Good morning Nada, you are always gorgeous but this print dress really ages you, I love you in denim, you look 20 years younger. I love you! Thank you for an excellent video.
😆 All of my answers are “in the middle!” I find leaning too far one way or the other feels off to me. Too classic is boring, but too creative is overwhelming. I have to be comfortable … restrictive clothes are my least worn. But … this needs to be balanced with “nice enough to go out on the town” and “not sloppy.” It is an interesting balance, and I always appreciate the tweaks you introduce to me in your videos.
@@evasilvalayton758 as a personal stylist I’m something of a chameleon, and I truly like both types of style but I definitely lean more creative than classic :)

Same.
