I'm the kind of person that spends most of his spare time watching car reviews on youtube and I have to say that I love this guy's videos: direct, concise, well narrated and providing most of the important data. It's so hard to find great reviews nowadays, but this man does the trick. Congrats.
Really Great review, encouraged me to try it out as well as the Golf GTI and Focus ST. Have to admit that this was by far the most interesting and best all rounder. Needless to say I then placed an order and picking my new 270 up in 3 weeks!
+Inside Lane I went for the ultimate red which is stunning. I'm not sure I could stomach the Coupe Franche paintwork everyday and it's ridiculously expensive!
+Inside Lane You mentioned the optional sunroof, must be a European option only, as visited my local dealer in Sydney and wasn't on the list. It's a shame really as the cabin is rather gloomy without.
+Inside Lane ever since I changed from a golf to the old 308 in 2008 I'll never go back to any other car brand, really like them really nice to drive. Great cars! Hopefully be in the GTi soon!
+Inside Lane really good review aswell, after watching your review of the new 208 my friend bought one and is very impressed with it! Really good quality reviews I must say!
+1, I own a 308 Allure diesel (115 hp), it just celebrated its second birthday and I'm quite happy with it at the moment...therefore I want to upgrade to a 308 GTI :)
Thank you very much! This shoot was a tough one because it was in the launch and it didn't go to plan, but I've tried my best with the footage I did have.
+Inside Lane I heard that from Peugeot Turkey, gti will come to Turkey first half of 2016 and I will try it :) I bought my 308 5 months ago and I'm thinking buy a gti in 2017 :) you can watch my car's video on my channel :)
Nice to see Peugeot have remembered how to build a decent hot hatch again after years of insipid flop cars from them. I just wish it looked a bit..... cooler. Ok next to the ubiquitous Golf it is a bit different. Just understated. Perhaps a bit too understated? Maybe they are saving the aggressive look for the 308R......... IF they do decide to build it.
+soundseeker63 I agree. 308R would be amazing. I recently had dinner with the man responsible for that car and it seems more likely that it will enter production than not.
The thing I'm most impressed by is the interiors in recent Peugeots, they actually look like places you'd want to sit in. Still not convinced by the placement of the instrument though.
The interiors are really nicely designed. As for the instrument placement, it's a bit marmite. Personally I seem to be about the right size for it to work, but some others I know are not as keen. I guess the best test would be to have a seat in one and see for yourself.
Zerofightervi They should be a bit closer to the driver. Hard to read :b But they high placement is necessary for the small steering wheel. So worth it :D
Inside Lane The problem is not the hight of the person :D Its how they want to sit in the car. You have to sit pretty high to see everthing. People who are not used to sit low have this problems
+Radioaktivify the bigest problem is the steering adjustment it self, people usually adjust the steering but the top of it, but in this car you need to do it by the centre...
+Helmigurt I'd say they were two different sorts of car. Type R is more to rival things like the Focus RS, Golf R. Whereas the 308 GTI sits in the same category as Golf GTI and Focus ST.
+Baller Louie Ok, Peugeot just got back to me. These are estimates as it varies from case to case. A 250HP 308 GTI is £359 with £3,200 deposit. A 270HP is £395 over 3 years. For the best answer to your question Peugeot's passport website can be more specific: www.offers.peugeot.co.uk/passport
The BoE devalued our currency. And since the invention of PCP...even your average income of £26,000 per year can afford to buy and run cars they could only dream of 10 years ago.

+trance former Thank you so much! More reviews to come!
Really Great review, encouraged me to try it out as well as the Golf GTI and Focus ST. Have to admit that this was by far the most interesting and best all rounder. Needless to say I then placed an order and picking my new 270 up in 3 weeks!
Thank you! Glad it helped you. What colour did you go for?
+Inside Lane I went for the ultimate red which is stunning. I'm not sure I could stomach the Coupe Franche paintwork everyday and it's ridiculously expensive!
i had it wrapped with the black at the back 😉
It's a really nice car and I'm glad to see Peugeot is keeping its sports car DNA alive! Very good review btw
+MotorScotti Thank you so much! I am glad you liked it.
Great review ^Martin
+Peugeot UK Thank you!
+Inside Lane You mentioned the optional sunroof, must be a European option only, as visited my local dealer in Sydney and wasn't on the list. It's a shame really as the cabin is rather gloomy without.
+Craig Picard That's annoying! Some options on cars are region specific.
Love peugeots drive a 308 feline at the moment, hopefully upgrading to the GTI next year! Great cars!
+Brooklyn Broularre 308 is a really nice car. I really like the 308 SW.

+Brooklyn Broularre Great to hear, glad he likes the car! I think the GTI is well worth the upgrade.

Thanks to your review I bought one recent. Thanks!
Awesome review as usual!!
Thank you very much! This shoot was a tough one because it was in the launch and it didn't go to plan, but I've tried my best with the footage I did have.
+Inside Lane Always appreciate your hard work, keep it up! Cheers
I'm glad Peugeot got it's mojo back
+Ian Townsend They are building some great cars at the moment.
Good review, thank you!
I have a 2015 peugeot 308 1.6 bluehdi eat6 and I love it. I really want the 'gti' but it's not sold in Turkey yet. :/
+tsinanb Thank you! I can see what I can find out about the GTI and when/if it is coming to Turkey if that would help you.

Damn, great car.
wished I had more money :P
+Radioaktivify It strikes a nice balance.
Great review
Thank you very much!
do you have a link to the peugeot sport video at the start? all I can find is the longer "victories" video
I don't I'm afraid. Peugeot gave me the file directly.
Is this car available in the US? Looks like a nice alternative to the Golf GTIs & Focus STs.
+AJ Z. I am not 100 % sure. I don't think so, but I will give Peugeot a call tomorrow to get you a definitive answer.
+AJ Z. Sadly for you, no :-/ but I think Peugeot should consider to sell cars in the US.
Unfortunately Peugeot do not sell in America.
+AJ Z. Saddly no, Peugeot is not returning to the USA any time soon. But DS (a brand of the PSA-Peugeot-Citroën group) will be back in a few years.
+AJ Z. US its not, but you can get it in Mexico...
So what is your best drivers car in the segment if it is not the 308?
Personally I really like the Focus ST as a "drivers car." However, the 308 does offer a nicer interior to live with.
+Inside Lane Would you take the 308 Gti before the new Type R?
+Helmigurt I'd say they were two different sorts of car. Type R is more to rival things like the Focus RS, Golf R. Whereas the 308 GTI sits in the same category as Golf GTI and Focus ST.
Thanks!
might get one in a few years when the price has dropped. Probably be closer to £10k after 3 years
Did you get one in the end. 3years+ has passed
I would be surprised if the 2017 model came with 300 bhp.
Of course that would mean turbo lag, but lets see what Is in store.
+skylineXpert The next performance 308 will be the R Hybrid. A very fast, very interesting machine indeed.
I am aware of that, but its about pushing the boundaries of tuning a 1.6
But It would be fun seing peugeot give the same treatment for a limited edition 508 where the result would be 320bhp 1.6 and 280 bhp electric engines.
the race version of the 308 has a 1.6THP whit 300HP...
how much would this be on finance a month roughly?
+Baller Louie I do not know off of the top of my head, but I can make a call tomorrow and find out for you.
okay cheers
+Baller Louie I haven't forgot about you! We have been so busy with events that I haven't had time to make a call. I'll try and get it done tomorrow.
+Baller Louie Ok, Peugeot just got back to me. These are estimates as it varies from case to case. A 250HP 308 GTI is £359 with £3,200 deposit. A 270HP is £395 over 3 years. For the best answer to your question Peugeot's passport website can be more specific: www.offers.peugeot.co.uk/passport
okay cheers for that
Please (Merci) Peugeot...Please sell this in the US asap !
+Boateng 2018 haha I guess I was thanking them in advance
+Boateng 2018 Haha! It is a shame it isn't sold in America.
needs an awd option
The price on the new breed of Hot Hatches is now way beyond the man in the streets budget.... £28,000??
Cars in general are now much more costly. Everything has become more premium.
The BoE devalued our currency. And since the invention of PCP...even your average income of £26,000 per year can afford to buy and run cars they could only dream of 10 years ago.
Peagoet 250 is competor to focus and golf , 270 more like Renault rs
like this. a lot. a bit pricey though.
+alfamonk It is a great all-rounder.
And will deprecate faster than RBS Shares.
Martin Allen better get the Golf then, if that's the most important thing for you.
It suffers the same problem as the focus, too many doors!
Unfortunately it isn't really worth a manufacturer building a 3 door car. It's more cost effective to do just one body style.
DO WANT.
+avani bint tahir It is a very enjoyable car.
7:46 VW Van > Peugeot 308 GTI 2016
who buys these cars?
People who want something fast and practical
me and loving it
