Sleep Token 'Chokehold Live' Drum Programming | GetGood Drums PV Matt Halpern Signature Pack

Here's an attempt to program II's live performance of Chokehold live from Budapest using the recently released GetGood Drums PV kit.
I don't do covers often, but I particularly enjoy watching and learning from my favorite drummers and their tendencies, firstly to find what's possible as a drummer (I don't know how to play drums) and secondly to be able to replicate their style when writing ideas. Who's your favorite drummer to get inspiration from?

The spacing of the snare during the first part is a little off, sounds like you were using even subdivisions which makes some of the syncopated hits a little early. This song has a triplet feel, so your grid should be set to subdivide each quarter note into groups of 3 instead of 2. The fill at the end of the section has the same issue where instead of triplets you programmed 16ths since they sounded the closest. The ghost note triplets sounded good tho so I could be wrong haha. Either way ur shit sounds huge bro

Everything there is programmed in a sixteenth note triplet grid I believe! It’s been a while but that’s what I remember haha! Thank you man

Yeah this is great! It will be awesome when people just can't have people do the drums or whatever for covers.... don't really get the point when its just obviously midi BS if you can program this why not make your own songs? (asking for a friend)
