This might be the best idea, but test before trying. Thawing watermelon gets a weird stringy texture that could incorporate into your dish as you start digging that spoon in (but it could also be fine if the bowl is scraped well).

The watermelon is really watery and has a lot of moisture in it. Goddamn 🤯
My go-to watermelon slushy
2 cups frozen watermelon
Handful of strawberries
Couple squirts of lime juice
2 tbsp honey
1 cup of water
Blend and should be thick and delicious, hope you enjoy!

Satisfying? I’d consider satisfying eating what they made after taking a few oxycodones on a breezy afternoon on a balcony over looking sunset blvd or the Las Vegas strip. However, swirls in a blender doesn’t look satisfying. It just looks like swirls in a blinder.
See my blender would've been like "girl if want this you better put some more liquid in here", lmao... gotta upgrade!

Watermelon and blueberries blended with a small amount of water tastes almost milky. I’ve done this several times and it still trips me out every time

edit: okay sooo i just finished eating this and i did 1/4 of a watermelon and half a bag of frozen strawberries and it made 6 thick smoothie bowls! like i literally used my hand blender (which isn’t expensive at all btw) and it still blended pretty well. i had to add splashes if milk but the smoothie was SOO thick. making another one w the leftover watermelon and strawberries. tysm for the recipe, i never made a thick smoothie bowl!

The way my dad told me how to find a ripe sweet melon is to look for the smallest brown holes on a melon not where the stem grows but the other brown spot that they have. It’s always a perfect pick !!
Or you can smack it lol ... the hollow the better.
I've tried this in 2 different blenders lol it's definitely your Vitamix that gets it this consistency cause my strawberry seeds would still be showing and not as thick

Use a food processor, I use the ninja chopper for this kind of stuff, and comes out at a good consistency.

It may be your blender/ratio. I get their consistency using the pampered chef blender. Works every time no mater what fruit I use. Maybe switch out a different milk?
I think it was so smart using the watermelon shell as the bowl. It was so cute

You didn’t need perfect cubes just to put them in the blender
You could scoop the inside of the watermelon and then freeze irregular shapes and that is so much easier and cuts the need for a second watermelon.
If you don’t mind a sorbet consistency you can also put it in the blender straight from the watermelon itself. Add frozen berries and maybe lemon juice and sugar. And then pour it back into the watermelon you scooped it from and freeze it in the watermelon.
Next time you make watermelon softee bowl, nix the almond milk and use unsweetened coconut milk. Only be sure to freeze the coconut milk, and give the watermelon a slight squeeze, to remove some water but not all, and freeze. Sub the frozen berries with frozen dark cherries. Off the charts flavor 😉
